이 논문에서는 전류형 MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) 기법을 제안하고 적용하여 태양광 PCS(Power Conditioning System)의 기본적인 제어기를 설계하고 구현하였다.
This paper proposes the controller design for a stability improvement of an on-board battery charger. The system is comprised of a power factor correction (PFC) circuit and phase shift full-bridge DC-DC converter. The PFC circuit performs the control of the DC-link voltage and the input power factor. The DC-DC converter regulates the voltage and the current in the battery using the DC-link voltage. This paper proposes the design method of PI controller for the PFC circuit using a small signal model. The analysis and design of a type-three controller for the DC-DC converter is also presented. A simulation and experiment has been performed on the on-board battery charger and their results are presented to verify the validity of the proposed system.
This paper presents a new single-phase asymmetrical cascaded multilevel DC-link inverter. The proposed inverter comprises two stages. The main stage of the inverter consists of multiple similar cells, each of which is a half-bridge inverter consisting of two switches and a single DC source. All cells are connected in a cascaded manner with a fixed neutral point. The DC source values are not made equal to increase the performance of the inverter. The second circuit is a folded cascaded H-bridge circuit operating at a line frequency. One of the main advantages of this proposed topology is that it is a modular type and can thus be extended to high stages without changing the configuration of the main stage circuit. Two control schemes, namely, low switching with selective harmonic elimination and sinusoidal pulse width modulation, are employed to validate the proposed topology. The detailed approach of each control scheme and switching pulses are discussed in detail. A 150W prototype of the proposed system is implemented in the laboratory to verify the validity of the proposed topology.
The simplest method for measuring output currents of the three phase inverters is to measure them with three current sensors such as hall sensors. This method requires at least two current sensors, and these types of sensors are somewhat expensive. More economical method is measuring DC link current with a simple shunt resistor, then, reconstructing output current using the DC link current value and the switching status. However, in low speed region, the measurement becomes difficult and even impossible due to the requirement of minimum switching duration for A/D conversion. These problems can be overcome by limitation of switching duration. Limitation of switching, however, causes voltage and current distortion. Owing to compensation, distortion can be effectively suppressed. However these increase acoustic noise due to increment of current ripple. In this paper, a current measurement method is proposed, which can reduce minimum switching duration resulting in reduction of acoustic noise. The validity of proposed method is confirmed through experiment.
This paper deals with the voltage unbalance of DC link voltage in series connected two 6-step inverters with double chopper preregulator. Each output of the 6-step inverter is connected to each transformer. The secondary windings of one of the transformers is zig-zag connected and the other star connected. The secondary terminals of the two transformers are series connected which makes 12-step output voltage waveform. In this case, the characteristics of the two transformers are rather different each other. The difference results in the voltage unbalance of the two 6-step inverter input capacitor voltages which make the DC link voltage. The degree of the voltage unbalance is analysied with the variations of load power, load power factor and % impedance of the transformer.
In this paper, a novel multilevel inverter using DC-Link voltage combination is presented to reduce the harmonics of output voltage without the output filter inductor. The proposed multilevel inverter can generate 27-level output voltage. It employs three H-bridge cells which consist of single phase full-bridge inverter module. As well as, it can make continuous output voltage level employing the properly three DC-Link voltage ratio. The validity of the proposed inverter is verified through the experimental result using a prototype which can generate a 110[Vac], 60[Hz] output voltage from 12[Vdc], 36[vdc], and 108[Vdc] input voltages
In order to improved the three phase GTO CSI of high efficiency IM drive with low loss commutation and snubber energy, we studied the energy recovery circuit to recover stored energy in clamping capacitor, dc link inductor and snubber capacitor, used an induction motor as the load of inverter. Specially, we investigated how dc input power is increased or decreased according to size of dc link inductor. The validity of this system is proved through experiment.
In this paper, a current control system of a single phase PWM AC/DC converter using a reduced-order Luenberger observer without source voltage sensors is proposed. The sinusoidal input current and unity input power factor are realised based on the estimated source voltage performed by the reduced-order Luenberger observer using actual currents and DC link voltage. The poles of the reduced-order Luenberger observer are placed in the left half plane of s-plane by the pole-placement method in order to acquire the stability of the observer. The magnitude and the phase of the estimated source voltage are used to accomplish the unity power factor. The proposed method is implemented by DSP(Digital Signal Processor). Experimental Results verify that the reduced-order observer estimates the source voltage without the estimation error and the control system accomplishes the unity power factor, and constant DC link voltage.
This paper proposes a balancing control of DC-link voltages of a H-bridge multilevel inverter for STATCOM application. Individual DC link voltage is controlled by simply adjusting the d-q voltage reference through a PI controller in each cell while the main controller carries out the reactive power control. The correctness and effectiveness of the method are validated by PSIM simulation with unbalanced load condition data taken from a typical arc furnace load, showing the adverse effects of load unbalance to DC link voltage significantly suppressed.
