The Effects of Cultivars and DAPs(Days After Planting) of Kenaf Plants on Lignin Contents and Dyeability of Their Fibers (품종과 재배기간이 다른 케나프 섬유의 리그닌 함량과 염색성)

  • The effects of cultivar and DAPs on the lignin content and dyeability of the kenaf fibers were investigated. Four kenaf fiber samples were prepared from two cultivars, Tainung 2 and Everglades 41, and their 60 and 120 DAPs(days after planting) for the experiments. The lignin contents of the kenaf fibers of Tainung 2(T2) and Everglades 41(E41) were $11.29{\sim}12.78%$. Both T2 and E41 kenaf fibers had comparable amount of lignin, and klason lignin of the fibers was $2.5{\sim}3$ times as much as much as acid-soluble lignin. In both T2 and E41, 120 DAPs kenaf have 1% more lignin than 60 DAPs kenaf. The moisture regains of the four kenaf fiber samples were almost the same as $10.25{\pm}0.05%$. The absorbances of residual solution after dyeing for $1{\sim}180$ minutes with Red 81 at maximum wavelength 520 nm and Green 26 at 600 nm were measured. Comparing to Green 26, the dyeing rate of Red 81 was rapid and equilibrium state was reached in 12 minutes. The CIE $L^*,\;a^*, \;b^*,\;{\Delta}E$ and K/S values of the kenaf fibers dyed with Red 81 and Green 26 were measured as well. The dye exhaustion ratio of 60 DAPs kenaf was higher than that of 120 DAP.

  • RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링법을 이용하여 Ar과 $O_2$의 유량을 25sccm씩 흘리면서 $SiO_2$/Si기판 위에 Sn $O_2$ 박막을 증착하였다. 증착된 박막은 columnar 구조로 성장하였으며 많은 입자들이 뭉쳐서 형성된 양배추꽃(cauliflower) 형태의 뭉친 입자(agglomerates)를 가지는 표면형상이 관찰되었다. 분위기에 따른 어닐링 효과를 확인하기 위하여 50$0^{\circ}C$에서 공기와 질소 분위기하에서 열처리하였다. 열처리한 후 표면거칠기가 개선되었으며, 표면형상의 변화가 발생하였다. 특히 50$0^{\circ}C$, 질소분위기에서 어닐링한 경우는 양배추꽃 형태의 표면형상이 소수의 작은 입자가 뭉친 형태로 분리되면서 입도분포가 개선되었다. 이러한 결과는 어닐링 과정에서 발생되는 응력을 완화시키기 위하여 표면형상의 변화가 발생하는 것으로 판단된다. XPS 측정 결과, 질소 분위기에서 어닐링한 후에 OIs와 Sn5/3d 피크가 낮은 결합에너지에 위치하고 있어 산소공공의 농도가 어닐링 전에 비하여 증가하였음을 확인할 수 있다. 어닐링 전후에 Sn $O_2$ 박막의 면저항 측정 값은 XPS 결과와는 달리 질소 분위기 어닐링한 후에 오히려 면저항값이 크게 증가하였다. 이러한 결과는 질소 분위기 어닐링한 후 표면형상의 변화에 기인하여 입자간의 연결성이 저하되어 면저항값이 증가한 것으로 추정된다. 산소분위기에서 어닐링한 후에 전체적으로 전기적 특성의 재현성이 개선되었으며 Sensitivity( $R_{air}$/ $R_{gas}$)가 향상되었음을 확인하였다.하였다.석을 통하여 La의 분포를 확인하였으며, HRTEM 분석을 통하여 미세구조분석을 실시하였다.2463eV였다. 10K에서 광발광 봉우리의 919.8nm (1.3479eV)는 free exciton(Ex), 954.5nm (1.2989eV)는 donor-bound exciton 인 I2(DO,X)와 959.5nm (1.2921eV)는 acceptor-bound exciton 인 I1(AO,X) 이고, 964.6nm(1.2853eV)는 donor-acceptor pair(DAP) 발광, 1341.9nm (0.9239eV)는 self activated(SA)에 기인하는 광발광 봉우리로 고찰되었다.가 높을수록 방출전류가 시간에 따라 급격히 감소하였다. 각 duty비에서 방출전류의 양이 1/2로 감소하는 시점을 에미터의 수명으로 볼 때 duty비 대 에미터 수명관계를 구해 높은 duty비에서 전계방출을 시킴으로써 실제의 구동조건인 낮은 duty비에서의 수명을 단시간에 예측할 수 있었다. 단속적으로 일어난 것으로 생각된다.리 폐 관류는 정맥주입 방법에 비해 고농도의 cisplatin 투여로 인한 다른 장기에서의 농도 증가 없이 폐 조직에 약 50배 정도의 고농도 cisplatin을 투여할 수 있었으며, 또한 분리 폐 관류 시 cisplatin에 의한 직접적 폐 독성은 발견되지 않았다이 낮았으나 통계학적 의의는 없었다[10.0%(4/40) : 8.2%(20/244), p>0.05]. 결론: 비디오흉강경술에서 재발을 낮추기 위해 수술시 폐야 전체를 관찰하여 존재하는 폐기포를 놓치지 않는 것이 중요하며, 폐기포를 확인하지 못한 경우와 이차성 자연기흉에 대해서는 흉막유착술에 더 세심한 주의가 필요하다는 것을 확인하였다. 비디오흉강경수술은 통증이 적고, 입원기간이 짧고,

  • In order to develop the slow-release compound fertilizer fur upland crops, trial products were made with ammonium sulfate, diammonium phosphate, and potassium chloride with filler of calcium sulfate, and hinder of additional material of urea resin Nine trial slow-release compound fertilizers were manufactured by varying urea/formaldehyde mole ratios(U/F mole ratio : 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 ) and the proportions of urea resin (3.3. 6.7. and 10%) and the proportions of urea resin (3.3. 6.7 and 10%). The aimed percentage of $N-P_2O_5-K_2O$ in the trial product was 12.5-10.0-14.0%, which was appropriate for Chinese cabbage. The N dissolution of the trial products in water was slower with lower U/F ratio and in creased to the proportion of urea resin. The dissolved nitrogen in water after 24hrs ranged from 69 to 83 percent of total nitrogen in the trial products.

  • Agrobacterium tumefaciens의 연구는 유전공학 시대를 맞이하여 많은 연구자들의 커다란 주목을 끌고있다. 식물세포내에 외부 유전자를 도입시키는, 확실히 믿을 수 있는 vector로 등장된 때문이다. 원래 이세균은 식물 줄기나 뿌리에 암종을 유발시키므로서 암발성 원인 구명 연구로 흥미를 끌게 되었다. 연구결과는 암발생 예방및 치료에 목적을 둠은 덩연할 것이다. 많은 약제가 시험되었으나 별로 진전을 보지 못하던중 비 원인성인 Agrobacterium radiobacter, strain 84에 의한 생물학적 방제의 성공으로 유일한 방제법을 갖게되었다. 뒤이어 암종발생 기작도 밝혀졌다. A study on the growth and characteristics of $AgGaS_2$ single crystal thin film by hot wall epitaxy (HWE 방법에 의한 $AgGaS_2$단결정 박막성장과 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The stochiometric composition of $AgGaS_2$polycrystal source materials for the single crystal thin films were prepared from horizontal furnace. From the extrapolation method of X-ray diffraction patterns, it was found that the polycrystal $AgGaS_2$has tetragonal structure of which lattice constant $a_0\;and \;c_0$ were 5.756 $\AA$ and 10.305 $\AA$, respectively. $AgGaS_2$single crystal thin film was deposited on throughly etched GaAs(100) substrate from mixed crystal $AgGaS_2$by the Hot Wall Epitaxy (HWE) system. The source and substrate temperature were $590^{\circ}C$ and $440^{\circ}C$ respectively, and the growth rate of the single crystal thin films was about 0.5 $mu \textrm{m}$/h. The crystallinity of the grown single crystal thin films was investigated by the DCRC (double crystal X-ray diffraction rocking curve). The optical energy gaps were found to be 2.61 eV for $AgGaS_2$single crystal thin films at room temperature. The temperature dependence of the photocurrent peak energy is well explained by the Varshni equation, then the constants in the Varshni equation are given by${\Alpha};=;8.695{\times}10^{-4};eV/K,and;{\beta};=;332;K$. from the photocurrent spectra by illumination of polarized light of the $AgGaS_2$single crystal thin film, we have found that crystal field splitting $\Delta$Cr was 0.28 eV at 20 K. From the PL spectra at 20 K, the peaks corresponding to free and bound excitons and a broad emission band due to D-A pairs are identified. The binding energy of the free excitons are determined to be 0.2676 eV and 0.2430 eV and the dissociation energy of the bound excitons to be 0.4695 eV.

A Comparative Study of Image Quality and Radiation Dose according to Variable Added Filter and Radiation Exposure in Diagnostic X-Ray Radiography (진단용 X-선 촬영시 부가 필터 및 노출의 변화에 따른 피폭선량 및 영상 화질 비교 연구)

  • To know which parameters were acceptable for achieving lowest radiation exposure to the patients and highest image quality at the diagnostic X-ray radiography, we measured the patient radiation dose and image quality in transmitted PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) at variable combinations of the added filters. As a result, the Dose Area Product (DAP: $mGy{\cdot}cm^2$) and Entrance Surface Doses (ESDs: $mGy$) was lowest at 1 mmAl + 0.2 mmCu and highest at 0 mmAl. The histogram of the image quality by transmitted PACS was not significantly different at variable combinations of exposure parameters on the MATLAB. In conclusion, this study can be helpful for expecting radiation dose-exposure and control exposure parameters for the diagnostic X-ray radiography.

Development of KHU Automatic Observing Software for McDonald 30inch telescope (KAOS30)

  • Automatic observing is the most efficient system for sky surveys that image many targets over large areas of the sky. Such a system requires the integrating control software that systematically manages astronomical instruments that are not connected to each other. In February of 2017, we installed a wide-field 10 inch telescope for Supernovae survey on the McDonald 30 inch telescope as a piggyback system. However, during the observations, information such as target coordinates could not be exchanged with the telescope mount. The reason is the program that controls the telescope control system (TCS) and the program that controls the imager operate on independent PCs. KAOS30 is an integrated observing software developed to improve this environment. The software is composed of four packages that are the Telescope Control Package (TCP), the Data Acquisition Package (DAP), the Auto Focus Package (AFP), and the Script Mode Package (SMP). The TCP communicates to the TCS and also communicates weather information. SMP supports automatic observing in a script mode, which improves the efficiency of the survey. KAOS30 was developed based on Visual C ++ and runs on the Windows operating system. It also supports the ASCOM driver platform for various manufacturers. The instruments that support ASCOM can be installed without modification of the program code. KAOS30 can be applied as software for many different telescopes in future projects.

  • This study was carried out in order to develop a compound fertilizer for raising rice seedling in trays. A compound fertilizer, a trail product, was manufactured using the major fertilizer sources of ammonium sulfate, diammonium phosphate and potassium chloride in combination with zeolite and glutamic acid fermentation waste. Besides, polyacrylamide for slow release control of the fertilzer and Tachigaren and sulfuric acid for reducing the occurrence of seedling rot were used. The component ratios of N, $P_2O_5$ and $K_2O$ of trial product were 4.19, 5.41 and 4.05 percent respectively. The dissolution rate of nitrogen component in water for the trial product with polyacrylamide was lower about fifteen percents than the product without polyacylamide in six hours. Hymexazole, main component of Thachigaren, from the product was released about 86.2 percents in forty eight hours. When the product with polyacylamide applied on red earth soil and paddy soil, the pH of soil ranged from 4.6 to 5.4 for 25 days experiment.

Studies on the Press Drying and the Chemical Absorption of the Plywood Treated with Diammonium Phosphate (제2인산(第2燐酸)암모늄 처리합판(處理合板)의 약제흡수(藥劑吸收) 및 열판건조(熱板乾燥)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • The plywoods commonly used as decorative interior materials for the construction are inflammable and so it is a causative factor for making fire accidents, resulting in the destruction of human life and personal properties. Indeed, it is, therefore, required to produce fire-retardant plywoods. In this study, a special grade of defect-free, Kapur plywood was used. Specimens were cut into 3- by 20cm dimensions from 120- by 240- by 0.33-cm panels(thin panel) or 120- by 240- by 0.5-cm panels(thick panel). Some specimens were treated with diammonium phosphate(DAP), but some were not treated with diammonium phosphate to use as control panels. Chemical absorption, drying curves, drying rates and dynamic Young's modulus were investigated. The results were summaries as follows; 1. The specimens were soaked into 19% diammonium phosphate solution by a full cell pressure process and the diammonium phosphate retained in the thin and thick plywoods was 1.409kg/$(30cm)^3$, 1.487kg/$(30cm)^3$, respectively. 2. Diammonium phosphate-treated plywoods were redried with press-drying process at one of either condition dried on the platen($115^{\circ}C$) for a period of time or dried on the platen($50^{\circ}C$) for 3 hrs plus in a dry-oven($30^{\circ}C$) for 24 hrs. or dried on the platen($60^{\circ}C$) for 2 hrs plus in a dry-oven($30^{\circ}C$) for 24 hrs. The drying rate of treated thin specimens dried at $60^{\circ}C$ plus $30^{\circ}C$ and $115^{\circ}C$ only was found to be 0.04 %/min. and 8.53 %/min. Similarly, the drying rate of treated thick specimens were 0.03 %/min. and 6.77 %/min. respectively. 3. It was evident that highly-significantly different drying rate of treated plywoods was observed between plywood thicknesses and platen temperatures and the rate was increased by elevating the platen temperature up to $115^{\circ}C$. Based on the two-way variance analysis, highly significant drying rate was observed from the interaction between plywood thicknesses and platen temperatures. 4. After redrying, the specimens were weighed and reconditioned to a constant weight in a facility maintained temperature ($20^{\circ}C$) and relative humidity(65%) prior to test dynamic Young's modulus. The test revealed that the thin specimens dried at the platen temperature of $50^{\circ}C$, $60^{\circ}C$, $115^{\circ}C$ and untreated specimens showed 1.070E+09 dyne/$cm^2$, 1.156E+09 dyne/$cm^2$, 1.243E+09 dyne/$cm^2$, and 1.052E+09 dyne/$cm^2$, respectively. Likewise, the thick specimens revealed 5.647E+09 dyne/$cm^2$ 5.670E+09 dyne/$cm^2$, 6.395E+09 dyne/$cm^2$ and 5.415E+09 dyne/$cm^2$, respectively. 5. It was evident that significantly different dynamic Young's modulus was observed between the plywood thickness and the platen temperature, but not in the two-way interaction between the plywood thickness${\times}$the platen temperature.

Patient dose in adult and pediatric dental panoramic radiography in Korea (성인과 소아에서 치과 파노라마방사선검사의 환자선량)

  • Objective: To suggest diagnostic reference levels (DRLs) for dental panoramic radiography in adults and children through the nationwide survey in Korea. Materials and Methods: Two hundred twelve dental institutions on a national basis were visited. The radiographic examination protocols were surveyed and their patient doses at the clinical exposure setting for adult and children (5- and 10-year old) were measured at 244 panoramic radiographic equipment. The measured DAP were analyzed and compared according to age group, the size of hospital, the type of radiographic system, the installation duration of equipment. Results: The mean exposure parameters were 70.1 kV, 9.2 mA, 14.4 second for adult and 66.6 kV, 7.9 mA, 13.8 second for 10-year old child and 65.5 kV, 7.3 mA, 13.7 second for 5-year old child. The mean and third quartile patient DAPs were $138.3mGy\;cm^2$ and $151.0mGy\;cm^2$ for adult, $99.5mGy\;cm^2$ and $104.8mGy\;cm^2$ for 10-year old child and $89.5mGy\;cm^2$ and $95.5mGy\;cm^2$ for 5-year old child. The mean patient dose at the university dental hospital was lower than that at the dental clinic (p<0.05). The mean patient dose of direct digital radiography type was higher than that of film-based type. However, the difference did not show statistically significance. Conclusion: DRLs for dental panoramic radiography in adult, 10- and 5-year old child were suggested to be $151mGy\;cm^2$, $105mGy\;cm^2$, and $96mGy\;cm^2$ in Korea based on this nationwide survey.
