지역사회 거주 노인의 규칙적 운동, 신체적 기능, 건강수준, 우울이 건강관련 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 : 성별 경로 분석 (A Path Analysis on Factors - Depression, Level of Health status, Physical Function, and Regular Exercise - Influencing Health Related Quality of Life according to sex in Community dwelling Elderly)

  • Purpose: This study was to examine the factors (depression, level of health status, physical function, depression) influence health related quality of life (EQ5D) in community dwelling elderly according to sex. Methods: A total of 226 elderly subjects over the age of 65 years in community were included. Data were collected by measuring the physical function (muscle endurance, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular endurance) and by using a questionnaire about EQ5D, depression, health status. Data were analyzed by SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. Results: The major findings of this study are as follows. Explained variance of EQ5D by regular exercise, physical function, and level of health status was 19% for male elderly subjects and 26.0% for female elderly subjects. The effect was different according to sex. Depression has the effect on EQ5D (${\beta}=-.356$, p<.001) in females, while the level of health status has the effect (${\beta}=.314$, p=.027) in males. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the effect of regular exercise, physical function, and level of health status were different on EQ5D according to sex. Thus, different health programs according to sex are necessary to increase the quality of life in elderly individuals.

  • PIGK(phosphatidylinositol glycan, class K) is a subunit of GPI transamidase that cleaves the signal peptide in proproteins and replaces it with GPI. In addition, the structure and synthesis of GPI are critically involved in some of the cellular actions of insulin. Therefore, PIGK would be essential for mammalian development and many specific cellular functions as well as for metabolic activity of insulin associated with GPI. Two types of" full-length cDNAs of porcine PIGK were cloned through RT-PCR and RACE experiments. One is thought to be a normal form(consist of 395 amino acids) and the other is considered as an alternative spliced form(consist of 371 amino acids) which contains additional 63 bps in intron 7. Since a stop codon was contained within the insertion, the spliced form has a shorter coding sequence than that of normal form. A missense mutation (T314I) in exon 6 was detected and used for genotyping to estimate association with the growth and fat deposition traits for 545 $F_2$ animals(Korean native boars ${\times}$ Landrace). From the PCR-RFLP analysis using HpyCH4III, CT genotype showed highly significant relationship(P< 0.01) with carcass fat contents.

  • 본 논문은 Unity3D와 게임서버엔진인 ProudNet을 이용해 네트워크 게임을 개발한 방법을 설명하였다. ProudNet 서버를 Unity3D 클라이언트와 연결하여 네트워크 기능을 구현할 때 ProudNet의 어떤 기능을 쓰며 또 서버가 보낸 메시지를 클라이언트가 어떠한 방식을 이용하여 메시지를 처리하게 구현하였는지를 설명하였다.

  • 지금까지 중국의 경제 급성장에도 불구하고 중국 항만의 시설 부족으로 인해 한국은 환적화물의 증가세가 뚜렷했었다. 그러나 상해 신항만 개발과 중국항으로의 선사 직기항으로 인해 최근 환적화물의 증가세가 감소하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 국내 항만개발 계획의 대폭적인 수정이 불가피한 상황이다. 특히 동북아물류중심 국가로의 추진에 큰 장애요인이 된다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 항만의 급속한 성장 단계에 있는 중국보다 일본시장을 타겟으로 하여 국내 항만과 일본항만간 O/D 및 물류 흐름상의 물류비 구조를 분석한다. 이를 통해 일본의 화물을 국내로 유치했을 때의 일본 물류비 절감효과에 대하여 분석함으로써 일본화물 유치 전략의 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있기를 기대한다.

A Comprehensive Analysis of Deformable Image Registration Methods for CT Imaging

  • This study aimed to assess the practical feasibility of advanced deformable image registration (DIR) algorithms in radiotherapy by employing two distinct datasets. The first dataset included 14 4D lung CT scans and 31 head and neck CT scans. In the 4D lung CT dataset, we employed the DIR algorithm to register organs at risk and tumors based on respiratory phases. The second dataset comprised pre-, mid-, and post-treatment CT images of the head and neck region, along with organ at risk and tumor delineations. These images underwent registration using the DIR algorithm, and Dice similarity coefficients (DSCs) were compared. In the 4D lung CT dataset, registration accuracy was evaluated for the spinal cord, lung, lung nodules, esophagus, and tumors. The average DSCs for the non-learning-based SyN and NiftyReg algorithms were 0.92±0.07 and 0.88±0.09, respectively. Deep learning methods, namely Voxelmorph, Cyclemorph, and Transmorph, achieved average DSCs of 0.90±0.07, 0.91±0.04, and 0.89±0.05, respectively. For the head and neck CT dataset, the average DSCs for SyN and NiftyReg were 0.82±0.04 and 0.79±0.05, respectively, while Voxelmorph, Cyclemorph, and Transmorph showed average DSCs of 0.80±0.08, 0.78±0.11, and 0.78±0.09, respectively. Additionally, the deep learning DIR algorithms demonstrated faster transformation times compared to other models, including commercial and conventional mathematical algorithms (Voxelmorph: 0.36 sec/images, Cyclemorph: 0.3 sec/images, Transmorph: 5.1 sec/images, SyN: 140 sec/images, NiftyReg: 40.2 sec/images). In conclusion, this study highlights the varying clinical applicability of deep learning-based DIR methods in different anatomical regions. While challenges were encountered in head and neck CT registrations, 4D lung CT registrations exhibited favorable results, indicating the potential for clinical implementation. Further research and development in DIR algorithms tailored to specific anatomical regions are warranted to improve the overall clinical utility of these methods.

Performance of lightweight aggregate and self-compacted concrete-filled steel tube columns

  • The aim of this paper is to investigate the performance of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Filled Steel Tube (LWCFST) columns experimentally and compare to the behavior of Self-Compacted Concrete Filled Steel Tube (SCCFST) columns under axial loading. Four different L/D ratios and three D/t ratios were used in the experimental program to delve into the compression behaviours. Compressive strength of the LWC and SCC are 33.47 MPa and 39.71 MPa, respectively. Compressive loading versus end shortening curves and the failure mode of sixteen specimens were compared and discussed. The design specification formulations of AIJ 2001, AISC 360-16, and EC4 were also assessed against test results to underline the performance of specification methods in predicting the compression capacity of LWCFST and SCCFST columns. Based on the behaviour of the SCCFST columns, LWCFST columns exhibited different performances, especially in ductility and failure mode. The nature of the utilized lightweight aggregate led to local buckling mode to be dominant in LWCFST columns, even the long LWCFST specimens suffered from this behaviour. While with the SCCFST specimens the global buckling governed the failure mode of long specimens without any loss in capacity. Considering a wide range of column geometries (short, medium and long columns), this paper extends the current knowledge in composite construction by examining the potential of two promising and innovative structural concrete types in CFST applications.

출산여성의 산후관리서비스 이용 결정요인과 형평성 분석 (An Analysis on the Determinants and Equity of the Postpartum Care Service Utilization)

  • Background: This study aimed to analyze effects of postpartum care services to women after birth, identify the factors affecting their use, and examine the extent of income-related inequality in the postpartum care services utilization and expenditures using Korean Health Panel data between 2010 and 2013. Methods: The panel data of the year 2010-2013 of the 247 women after birth were used. First, EuroQoL-5D was used to evaluate the effects of postpartum care service to women's quality of life. Second, multinominal logistic regression analysis was used to identify determinants of the use of the postpartum care services. Finally, concentration index and HIwv (horizontal equity) index were used to find that the concentration index for the inequality in the use of postpartum care services showed negative sign, which implied pro-rich. Results: The estimation results showed that utilization of the postpartum services has a positive effect on women after birth. Also age, area of residence, and number of household members turn out to be the factors of using postpartum services. And there are inequality in the use of postpartum care services whose HIwv index showed positive sign, which implied pro-rich. Conclusion: Therefore, the government's policy of the postpartum care service is necessary to be expanded and diversified considering the personal characteristics and equity of the women after birth.

  • The objectives of this paper include the development of an agile prototype of SFFS, the $CAFL^{VM}$(Computer Aided fabrication of Lamination for Various Material), which is suitable for the multi-item and small-quantity production and various material fabrication. This paper includes remodeling of the layer slices for the 2D cutting, supplementing information of the layer slices and developing process conditions to fabricate products of various shape. And also includes developing control hardware as well as software by enhancing BOF of the manipulator to 3 degree for the precise 2D cutting. It will generate optimal layer trajectory considering the dynamic characteristics of the laser beam. The system can be used as a competitive agile protype system in terms of various materials, fabrication speed, and accuracy by CAD modeling precise layer slicing, material development, robot path control, and optimization of the support structure.

유기물을 이용한 Photovoltaic cell의 광기전력 특성 (Photovoltaic Properties of Organic Photovoltaic cell)

  • Recently, there is a growing concern on the photovoltaic effects using organic materials. This is a phenomena which converts the solar energy into the electrical one. We have fabricated a device structure of $ITO/PEDOT:PSS/CuPc/C_{60}/BCP/AI$. The PEDOT:PSS layer is made by spin coating, and the other organic layers are made by thermal vapor deposition. By measuring the current-voltage characteristics with an illumination of light, we have obtained value of Voc=0.38V, Jsc=$0.5mA/cm^{2}$. And a fill factor and efficiency are about 0.314 and 0.083%, respectively. A 500W xenon lamp(ORIEL) is used for a light source, and the light intensity illuminated into the device was about 10mW.

EFFECT OF SUPPLEMENTATION OF DIFFERENT LEVELS OF TEA WASTE ON THE PERFORMANCE OF GROWING CALVES

  • Twelve indigenous(desi) growing male calves of 9-12 months of age($95.3{\pm}12.6kg$) were divided into 4 groups having 3 animals in each group. Each group of calves received 1 kg fresh concentrate mixtures where tea waste was supplemented as 0($T_0$), 50($T_1$), 100($T_2$) and 150($T_3$) g $d^{-1}$ with the replacement of equal amount of concentrate mixtures. In addition, each calf received ad libitum chopped rice straw and 2 kg green grass a day. Dry matter intake increased by offering higher levels of tea waste except in the treatment $T_3$. Daily gain(g $d^{-1}$) was comparatively higher in $T_2$ group(314.6g) compared to other treatments. Feed efficiency(kg DM $kg^{-1}$ gain) was also higher in $T_2$ group(9.9) where feed cost $kg^{-1}$ gain was also comparatively lower(Tk. 25.7) than the other treatments. Dry matter and CP digestibility increased with the increase in supplementation of tea wastes except in the treatment $T_3$.
