2D/1D coupling method is an important neutron transport calculation method due to its high accuracy and relatively low computation cost. However, 2D/1D coupling method may diverge especially in small axial mesh size. To analyze the convergence behavior of 2D/1D coupling method, a Fourier analysis for k-eigenvalue neutron transport problems is implemented. The analysis results present the divergence problem of 2D/1D coupling method in small axial mesh size. Several common attempts are made to solve the divergence problem, which are to increase the number of inner iterations of the 2D or 1D calculation, and two times 1D calculations per outer iteration. However, these attempts only could improve the convergence rate but cannot deal with the divergence problem of 2D/1D coupling method thoroughly. Moreover, the choice of axial solvers, such as DGFEM SN and traditional SN, and its effect on the convergence behavior are also discussed. The results show that the choice of axial solver is a key point for the convergence of 2D/1D method. The DGFEM SN based 2D/1D method could converge within a wide range of optical thickness region, which is superior to that of traditional SN method.
In this paper, we give an estimate on the difference between $x^n(t)$ and x(t) and it clearly shows that one can use the Picard iteration procedure to the approximate solutions to stochastic functional differential equations with infinite delay at phase space BC(($-{\infty}$, 0] : $R^d$) which denotes the family of bounded continuous $R^d$-valued functions ${\varphi}$ defined on ($-{\infty}$, 0] with norm ${\parallel}{\varphi}{\parallel}={\sup}_{-{\infty}<{\theta}{\leq}0}{\mid}{\varphi}({\theta}){\mid}$ under non-Lipschitz condition being considered as a special case and a weakened linear growth condition.
The objective of this work is to analyze large deflections of a fiber reinforced composite cantilever beam under point loads. In the solution of the problem, finite element method is used in conjunction with two dimensional (2-D) continuum model. It is known that large deflection problems are geometrically nonlinear problems. The considered non-linear problem is solved considering the total Lagrangian approach with Newton-Raphson iteration method. In the numerical results, the effects of the volume fraction and orientation angles of the fibre on the large deflections of the composite beam are examined and discussed. Also, the difference between the geometrically linear and nonlinear analysis of fiber reinforced composite beam is investigated in detail.

In this paper, we propose a method to estimate camera motion parameter based on invariant point features. Typically, feature information of image has drawbacks, it is variable to camera viewpoint, and therefore information quantity increases after time. The LM(Levenberg-Marquardt) method using nonlinear minimum square evaluation for camera extrinsic parameter estimation also has a weak point, which has different iteration number for approaching the minimal point according to the initial values and convergence time increases if the process run into a local minimum. In order to complement these shortfalls, we, first propose constructing feature models using invariant vector of geometry. Secondly, we propose a two-stage calculation method to improve accuracy and convergence by using homography and LM method. In the experiment, we compare and analyze the proposed method with existing method to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed algorithms.

3D modeling of the human body is an integral part of computer graphics. Among them, several studies have been conducted on hair modeling, but there are generally few studies that effectively implement hair and face modeling simultaneously. This study has the originality of providing users with customized face modeling and hair modeling that is different from previous studies. For realistic hair styling, We design and realize hair segmentation using FCN, and we select the most appropriate model through comparing PSPNet, DeepLab V3+, and MobileNet. In this study, we use the open dataset named Figaro1k. Through the analysis of iteration and epoch parameters, we reach the optimized values of them. In addition, we experiment external parameters about the location of the camera, the color of the lighting, and the presence or absence of accessories. And the environmental analysis factors of the avatar maker were set and solutions to problems derived during the analysis process were presented.
In the present paper, development of the three-dimensional (3D) computational code based on Galerkin finite element method (GFEM) for solving the multigroup forward/adjoint diffusion equation in both rectangular and hexagonal geometries is reported. Linear approximation of shape functions in the GFEM with unstructured tetrahedron elements is used in the calculation. Both criticality and fixed source calculations may be performed using the developed GFEM-3D computational code. An acceptable level of accuracy at a low computational cost is the main advantage of applying the unstructured tetrahedron elements. The unstructured tetrahedron elements generated with Gambit software are used in the GFEM-3D computational code through a developed interface. The forward/adjoint multiplication factor, forward/adjoint flux distribution, and power distribution in the reactor core are calculated using the power iteration method. Criticality calculations are benchmarked against the valid solution of the neutron diffusion equation for International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)-3D and Water-Water Energetic Reactor (VVER)-1000 reactor cores. In addition, validation of the calculations against the $P_1$ approximation of the transport theory is investigated in relation to the liquid metal fast breeder reactor benchmark problem. The neutron fixed source calculations are benchmarked through a comparison with the results obtained from similar computational codes. Finally, an analysis of the sensitivity of calculations to the number of elements is performed.

In this paper, a hardware implementation of phase calculator for extracting 3D depth image from TOF(Time-Of-Flight) sensor is proposed. The designed phase calculator, which adopts redundant binary number systems and a pipelined architecture to improve throughput and speed, performs arctangent operation using vectoring mode of DCORDIC algorithm. Fixed-point MATLAB simulations are carried out to determine the optimized bit-widths and number of iteration. The designed phase calculator is verified by emulating the restoration of virtual 3D data using MATLAB/Simulink and FPGA-in-the-loop verification, and the estimated performance is about 7.5 Gbps at 469 MHz clock frequency.

One of the typical methods to design a codebook is K-means algorithm. This algorithm has the drawbacks that converges to a locally optimal codebook and its performance is mainly decided by an initial codebook. D. Lee's method is almost same as the K-means algorithm except for a modification of a distance value. Those methods have a fixed distance value during all iterations. After many iterations. because the distance between new codevectors and old codevectors is much shorter than the distance in the early stage of iterations, the new codevectors are not affected by distance value. But new codevectors decided in the early stage of learning iterations are much affected by distance value. Therefore it is not appropriate to fix the distance value during all iterations. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm using each different distance value between codevectors for a limited iterations in the early stage of learning iteration. In the experiment, the result show that the proposed method can design better codebooks than the conventional K-means algorithms.
A study on the robust control of a composite beam with a distributed PVDF sensor and piezo-ceramic actuator is presented in this paper. 1st and 2nd natural frequencies are considered in the modeling, because robust control theory which has robustness to structured uncertainty is adopted to suppress the vibration. If the controllers designed by H$_{\infty}$ theory do not satisfy control performance, it is improved by $\mu$-synthesis method with D-K iteration so that the $\mu$-controller based on the structured singular value satisfies the nominal performance and robust performance. Simulation and experiment were carried out with the designed controller and the verification of the robust control properties was presented by results.
For taking account of the two-dimensional magnetic properties of a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet, the effective anisotropic tensor reluctivity is examined, and a computationally efficient algorithm is suggested by using the response surface method to model the two-dimensional magnetic properties. It is shown that the reconstructed two-dimensional magnetic properties are fairly effective to stabilize the convergence characteristics of the Newton-Raphson iteration in the nonlinear magnetic field analysis.
