  • In this paper we investigate necessary conditions for the mirror algebra $(M(X),{\bigoplus},(0,0))$ to be a $d$-algebra (having the condition (D5), resp.) when (X, *, 0) is a d-algebra (having the condition (D5), resp.). Moreover, we obtain the necessary conditions for M(X) of a $d^*$-algebra X to be a $d^*$-algebra.

  • For a prime number p, let $\mathbb{Q}_p$ denote the p-adic field and let $\mathbb{Q}_p^d$ denote a vector space over $\mathbb{Q}_p$ which consists of all d-tuples of $\mathbb{Q}_p$. For a function f ${\in}L_{loc}^1(\mathbb{Q}_p^d)$, we define the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function of f on $\mathbb{Q}_p^d$ by $$M_pf(x)=sup\frac{1}{\gamma{\in}\mathbb{Z}|B_{\gamma}(x)|H}{\int}_{B\gamma(x)}|f(y)|dy$$, where |E|$_H$ denotes the Haar measure of a measurable subset E of $\mathbb{Q}_p^d$ and $B_\gamma(x)$ denotes the p-adic ball with center x ${\in}\;\mathbb{Q}_p^d$ and radius $p^\gamma$. If 1 < q $\leq\;\infty$, then we prove that $M_p$ is a bounded operator of $L^q(\mathbb{Q}_p^d)$ into $L^q(\mathbb{Q}_p^d)$; moreover, $M_p$ is of weak type (1, 1) on $L^1(\mathbb{Q}_p^d)$, that is to say, |{$x{\in}\mathbb{Q}_p^d:|M_pf(x)|$>$\lambda$}|$_H{\leq}\frac{p^d}{\lambda}||f||_{L^1(\mathbb{Q}_p^d)},\;\lambda$ > 0 for any f ${\in}L^1(\mathbb{Q}_p^d)$.

SOME PROPERTIES OF DERIVATIONS ON CI-ALGEBRAS

  • The present paper gives the notion of a derivation on a CI-algebra X and investigates related properties. We define a set $Fix_d(X)$ by $Fix_d(X)=\{x{\in}X{\mid}d(x)=x\}$, where d is a derivation on a CI-algebra X. We show that $Fix_d(X)$ is a subalgebra of X. Also, we prove some one-to-one and onto derivation theorems. Moreover, we study a regular derivation on a CI-algebra and an isotone derivation on a transitive CI-algebra.

  • Let D be an integral domain with quotient field K, X be an indeterminate over D, K[X] be the polynomial ring over K, and $R=\{f{\in}K[X]{\mid}f(0){\in}D\}$; so R is a subring of K[X] containing D[X]. For $f=a_0+a_1X+{\cdots}+a_nX^n{\in}R$, let C(f) be the ideal of R generated by $a_0$, $a_1X$, ${\ldots}$, $a_nX^n$ and $N(H)=\{g{\in}R{\mid}C(g)_{\upsilon}=R\}$. In this paper, we study two rings $R_{N(H)}$ and $Kr(R,{\upsilon})=\{{\frac{f}{g}}{\mid}f,g{\in}R,\;g{\neq}0,{\text{ and }}C(f){\subseteq}C(g)_{\upsilon}\}$. We then use these two rings to give some examples which show that the results of [4] are the best generalizations of Nagata rings and Kronecker function rings to graded integral domains.

  • Binary sequences of period $N=2^k-1$ are widely used in many areas of engineering and sciences. Some well-known applications include code-division multiple-access (CDMA) communications and stream cipher systems. In this paper, we analyze the equation $(x+1)^d=x^d+1$ over finite fields. The $d$ of the equation is used to analyze cross-correlation of binary sequences.

  • Let D be an integral domain, X be an indeterminate over D, and D[X] be the polynomial ring over D. We show that D is an almost weakly factorial PvMD if and only if D + XDS[X] is an integrally closed almost GCD-domain for each (saturated) multiplicative subset S of D, if and only if $D+XD_1[X]$ is an integrally closed almost GCD-domain for any t-linked overring $D_1$ of D, if and only if $D_1+XD_2[X]$ is an integrally closed almost GCD-domain for all t-linked overrings $D_1{\subseteq}D_2$ of D.

  • Let R be an associative ring and ${\alpha},{\beta}:R{\rightarrow}R$ ring homomorphisms. An additive mapping $d:R{\rightarrow}R$ is called an (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-derivation of R if $d(xy)=d(x){\alpha}(y)+{\beta}(x)d(y)$ is fulfilled for any $x,y{\in}R$, and an additive mapping $D:R{\rightarrow}R$ is called a generalized (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-derivation of R associated with an (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-derivation d if $D(xy)=D(x){\alpha}(y)+{\beta}(x)d(y)$ is fulfilled for all $x,y{\in}R$. In this note, we intend to generalize a theorem of Vukman [5], and a theorem of Daif and El-Sayiad [2].

An Effective x-dB Bandwidth Measurement Method of FM Signals using moving Average (동적 평균을 이용한 FM 신호의 효율적인 x-dB 대역폭 측정방법)

  • In this paper, a new approach is proposed for effectively estimating the occupied bandwidth of frequency modulation (FM) signals. The proposed method makes use of the smoothing niter for removing the perturbation of spectrum envelope, which frequently occurs in FM signals having the instantaneous frequency. An effective procedure is derived for finding the relatively accurate bandwidth of FM signals combined with x-dB bandwidth measurement method, which International Telecommunication Union-Radiocommunication (ITU-R) recommended. It was shown that the proposed approach provides superior performance relative to the one obtained with the x-dB bandwidth measurement method in terms of sample bias and mean squared error of bandwidth estimates.

Application of GML and X3D to 3D Urban Data Modeling: A Practical Approach

  • In this study, two standard specifications such as GML (Geography Markup Language) from OGC (Open Geo-spatial Consortium, Inc.) and X3D (extensible 3D) from Web3D consortium were dealt with for a web-based 3D urban application without using commercialized tools. In the first step of this study, DEM (Digital Elevation Model) and 3D GIS data sets were converted to GML structure with attribute schema. Then, these GML elements were projected onto a common coordinate system, and they were converted to the X3D format for visualization on web browser. In this work, a 3D urban data model, as a simple framework model, is extended to a framework model having further detailed information, depending upon application levels. Conclusively, this study is to demonstrate for practical uses of GML and X3D in 3D urban application and this approach can be applied to other application domains regarding system integrators and data sharing communities on distributed environments.

  • X3D는 XML 기반의 VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language) 차세대 언어로서 인터넷을 통해 동적이고 상호작용 가능한 실시간 가상 환경을 제공해 준다. 본 논문에서는 X3D기반 가상 환경이 제공하는 상호작용을 변경 또는 확장 가능한 새로운 인터페이스 모델을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 모델은 X3D 가상 환경에서 사용자 재정의를 통한 상호작용, 새로운 멀티 모달 인터페이스로의 확장, 그리고 상황 인지 가상환경을 위한 상호작용 모델로서 사용될 수 있다.
