The purpose of this study was to investigate variability of kinematic factors affecting the record in women's javelin throwing. For this study, 8 female-javelin thrower participated in this experiment. The three digital video cameras (Sony, 120x) were used to record motions. Kwon3D 2.1 was used to process data and they were analyzed with Excell for factors. The sampling rate of a camera was 60Hz and shutter speed of a camera was 1/1000sec. The coordinate data were filtered using a fourth-order Butterworth low pass filtering with an estimated optimum cut-off frequency of 6Hz. The results were as follows: 1. From cross step to landing of delivery, the average velocities of CoM of non-dominant athletes were greater than dominant athletes and those of CoM of non-dominant athletes less than dominant athletes, but at release dominant athletes had a lower average velocity and a variability than non-dominant athletes. 2. From cross step to landing of delivery, the average throwing velocities and variabilities of a javelin of dominant athletes were greater than dominant athletes, but at release, dominant athletes had a higher velocity than dominant athletes and had a equal variability. 3. At every events, a forward or backward angles and variabilities of non-dominant athletes were greater than dominant athletes. 4. From cross step to landing of delivery, dominant athletes' elbow average angles were greater than non-dominant athletes and the variabilities of latter less than non-dominant athletes, but at release dominant athletes' variabilities were smaller than non-dominant athletes. 5. At landing of delivery, dominant athletes' knee average angles and variabilities of a supporting foot were a greater than non-dominant athletes, and at release, dominant athletes' knee average angles was a greater but variabilities less than non-dominant athletes. In conclusion, the dominant threw javelins fast while having stable postures and the range of elbow's angle large.

Recently, the noise of vehicle is the one of the key factors for customers to purchase a vehicle and the most important part which is related to the noise is the exhaust system. Thus, car makers have their own ways to assess this exhaust noise not only to decrease the level of noise but to enhance the feeling of it. Typically, to do these things in the early stage of development, the tuning code of the exhaust system has to be made by CAE tool, which is very reliable but expensive, and the prototype parts of this code would be made for the validation test. Then this process can be iterated to meet the target of the performance. In this study, a new algorithm which adapts the '3 dimensional convective sound wave theory 'and 'Doppler effect' has been developed. With this new algorithm, a brand new system for the calculation of tail pipe noise has been developed and validated by acoustic wind tunnel test. As a result of this study, various comparisons and have been carried out, for example, the comparison with other CAE tool has been performed for the validity and the improvement of the new calculation code could be achieved.
In this paper, we propose a disparity-adaptive filtering method to reduce view-aliasing and inter-perspective aliasing on auto-multiscopic 3D display. View aliasing by the subsampled multi-view images could happen if the resolution of an auto-multiscopic monitor is lower than that of the original multi-view images. Furthermore, multi-view images on auto-multiscopic monitor usually cause eye strain and fatigue because of inter-perspective aliasing by discontinuity that exists between viewpoints. The greater disparity value becomes, the stronger these types of aliasing could be. Thus, we design a lowpass filter whose cut-off frequency is determined adaptively to the number of intermediate reconstructed views and their disparity's strength. Though experimental results, we show that the proposed filtering algorithm could reduce the aliasing effect very efficiently by using DSCQS (double stimulus continuous quality scale method).

In this paper, a novel power/ground plane using the hybrid-cell electromagnetic band-gap(EBG) structure is proposed for the wide-band suppression of the ground bound noise(GBN) or simultaneous switching noise(SSN). The -30 dB stopband of the proposed structure starts from a few hundred MHz where the GBN/SSN energy is dominant. The distinctive features of this new structure are the thin spiral strip line and hybrid-cells. They realize the enhanced inductance and the shorter period of the EBG lattice. As a result, the lower cut-off frequency and bandwidth of the -30 dB stopband becomes lower and wider, respectively. In addition, the proposed structure has smaller number of resonance modes between power/ground planes and performs a low EMI behavior compared with the reference board.

Aeroacoustic characteristics of sirocco fan used in Over-The-Range (OTR) has been analyzed in this paper. A microwave hood combination over the gas range is short for the OTR. The flow phenomena of the double-sided sirocco fan was analyzed numerically and experimentally by using commercial code and three dimensional PIV for flow visualization. Also, microphone array is used in order to understand acoustic characteristics of OTR. Two dimensional unsteady flow and acoustic simulation is tried to qualitatively estimate the effects of tonal noise and broadband noise on the overall sound pressure level. It is found that tonal sound is generated from the strong interaction between the impeller and cutoff while broadband sound is generated from the strong secondary flows along the scroll surface. To reduce the noise level, the V-shape cut-off was applied to improve the sound quality by reducing tonal noise. So the peak noise at BPF (Blade Passing Frequency) was almost reduced. The shape of flow-guide to suppress the secondary flow over the scroll surface was carefully checked. It is found that this affects flow pattern at the fan exit and reduces the broad band noise. Through this numerical and experimental study, the sound pressure level was lowered by 4dBA compared to that of the previous fan at the operating point.

In low-power VLSI systems, it is effective to suppress leakage current by shutting down megablocks in idle states. Recently, multi-threshold voltage CMOS (MTCMOS) is widely accepted to shutdown power supply. However, it requires short wake-up time as operating frequency increases. This causes large current surge during wake-up process, and it often leads to system malfunction due to severe Power line noise. In this paper, a novel wake-up scheme is proposed to solve this problem. It exploits pipelined wake-up strategy in several stages that reduces maximum current on the power line and its corresponding power line noise. To evaluate its efficiency, the proposed scheme was applied to a multiplier block in the Compact Flash memory controller chip. Power line noise in shutdown and wake-up process was simulated and analyzed. From the simulation results, the proposed scheme was proven to greatly reduce the power line noise compared with conventional schemes.

This report is concerned with the fahrication with the falricationof silicon VVC diode by the double diffusion planer technique. At first, some design charts for VVC diode were derived by considering the voltage-capacitance relations, the critical field intensity at the metallurgical junction, and the cut-off frequency of the diode. These charts enables the fabrication engineers to design VVC diode easily without going into the sophisticated design theory. We started with a 2.5 ohm-cm n-type epitaxial silicon wafer. The phosphorous was diffused by POCl3 impurity source. Then boron diffusion followed make hyperabrupt p-n junction by BN source. The maximum to minimum capacitance ratio of the diode as a tuning diode for a TV tuner made in these experiments was 4:1. Measured electrical characteristics of the sample diodes showed in good agreement with the theoretical expectations. Slicing and polishing technique of the silicon wafer and diffusion technique of the impurity atoms, which were employed in our study, are also stated briefly in this report.

The conventional neon transformer systems are very bulky and heavy because it consist of leakage type transformers made of silicon steel plates. In addition, it has problems in noise by a neon transformer and in possibilities of fire and electrical shock when neon tubes are destroyed. A protection circuit is designed for all types of neon transformer loaded with one or more neon tubes. Whenever the neon tube fails to be started up, comes to the life end, encounters faults with open-circuits at the output terminals of the neon transformer, the protection circuit will be initiated to avoid more critical hazards. The input of the transformer is automatically cut off when the abnormal condition occurs, preventing waste of no-load power. To improve such problems, in this paper, a new type of neon power supply systems for neon tube is designed and implemented using inverter type circuits and a newly designed lightweight transformer. In the developed neon transformer system, a 60[Hz]power input is converted to 20[KHz]high frequency using half-wave inverters, thereby the transformer reduces its size by 1/5 in volume and 1/10 in weight.

The conventional discrete circuit for ABS/TCS system was examined and the problems of the system were analyzed by computer simulation. In order to improve the performance of ABS/TCS system, interface IC which has error compensation, comparator and under voltage lock-out circuit was designed and their electrical characteristics were investigated. The voltage regulator was included to compensate the temperature variation in the temperature range from $-20^{\circ}C$ to $120^{\circ}C$ for automobile environment. ABS and brake signal were separated using the duty factor of same frequency or different frequencies. UVLO(Under Voltage Lock-Out) circuit and constant current circuit were applied for the elimination of noise, and protection circuit was applied to cut the excess current off. Layout for IC fabrication was designed to enhance the electrical performance of ABS/TCS system. Layout was consisted of 11 masks, arrayed effectively 8 pads to reduce the current loss. We can see that the result of layout simulation was better than the result of bread board.

Bisumus has a low melting point, making it easier to handle. This allows us to test what type of effect diamagnetism has on electro static and magnetic field shields. However, the actual materials for experimentation have only ever been manufactured cylindrically, and so there have been no recorded cases of measurements to this effect. To understand what kind of effect pure bisumus as diamagnetism has on electro static and magnetic shields in comparison to other materials, bisumus, along with copper, aluminum and iron 스텐도, were used to make a cylinder each. These cylinders were then used to measure and compare the electro static shield and magnetic shield at different bands of frequencies, starting from a low frequency. As shown on the graph/chart/diagram, the best results were recorded for copper and bisumus as diamagnetism in an electro static field. In terms of magnetic shielding, iron provided the best results, as expected, whereas bisumus displayed minimal effect.
