  • Since mid 1990s, the domestic market in Korea has been changing drastically especially in the field of discount stores. The competition among this market is more severe and the consuming pattern is also changed. This study is to examine the correlation between the customer's circulation and the spatial configuration by using Space Syntax and VMD pattern through the MD plan of each floor in Discount store. Throughout this study, it tries to find out the Quantitative analysis among three factors - the customer's circulation, spatial configuration and VMD investigation. The pattern of customer's circulation appears differently according to the identity of customer and store layout, but with the result, customer's circulation system is in accordance with the floor layout in the store. In result of the study, the circulation of the customer was found to have a close relationship with spatial structure that is composed by the MD pattern in a discount store in the area of food section. Also, the circulation system in the rest area except food section is more affected by the VMD pattern rather than spatial structure.

  • Purchasing should be considered as an exciting entertainment by itself in these days. Customers can be satisfied with making their own choices and dreaming of their better lives through the action of buying,. However the customers are not rushing into stores without any special reason except when the store has something attracts them. Generally speaking the customers will willingly spend their time and effort in shopping only when they are attracted by well-displyed goods and reasonably planned layout. Based upon these concepts interior design as a creative marketing tool plays a great role in enhancing customer's circulation and the productivity of a store. This study is to propose the layouts which are increasing the customer's circulation by contacting the customers with commodities as many as possible. This study is primarily revolved around the parts affecting customer's circulation among the factors of store's layouts. This study was consist of theoretical consideration about the store's layouts on the foundation of conference and existing works and several proposals. The results of this research are as below: 1) The entrance and exit of a retail store should be apart from each other to increase customers' circulation. It is regarded as ideal to locate the entrance on the right side of front to control moving line of customers. 2) A shop should be surrounded with the main aisles which is straightened inward from the main entrance. 3) Placing magnets which can be anything that attracts customers' attention at the corner of store can lead customers inward and increase customers' circulation.

  • At the large commercial facilities, people try to grasp a customer's needs as the marketing strategies for effective management and maximization of profits as well as the primary purpose for functional and effective spatial plan. In planning the interior of each department, they try to provide the image of the interior environment corresponding to customer's emotional needs. And this kind of efforts also have been improved as visual merchandising strategies based on the transmission of visual information. This study is to examine the correlation among customer's behavior, circulation and VMD by gasping their shopping patterns at the department stores based on the spatial and emotional approach to form an environmental image of each department. The researcher focused on time, speed and rate of shopping that show customer's behavioristic characteristics and examine the factors to have an influence on decision making. With the result, this study proposes the primary data and evidence for MD planning, circulation planning and VMD planning of each department.

  • 환경문제 해결과 지속적 발전을 위하여 자원순환형 사회시스템이 구축이 논의되고 있으며 물류분야에서도 그 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 순환형 사회시스템 구축요인인 감량화, 재사용, 재활용과 기업의 물류운영 특성인 통합성, 혁신성, 대응성과의 관계 및 물류성과와의 관계, 이들 요소가 기업규모별로 물류성과에 미치는 효과와 그 영향요인을 분석하여 방향을 제시하고자 하는데 있다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위하여 제조기업을 대상으로 문헌연구와 실증연구를 병행하였다. 본 연구는 기존의 물류 연구들과 달리 자원순환형 사회시스템 구축요인과 물류운영특성이 물류성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다는데 의의가 있다고 하겠다.

서울 소재 대학도서관 운영성과의 결정요인에 관한 실증연구 - 대출성과를 중심으로 - (An Empirical Study on the Determinants of Operating Performance of Academic Libraries in Seoul - Focused on Circulation Performance -)

  • 본 연구에서는 선행연구에 대한 분석을 통하여 우리나라 대학도서관의 운영성과를 결정짓는 주요 변수들을 파악하고, 각 변수들이 운영성과에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증함으로써 대학도서관의 경쟁력 실태와 장기적인 고객만족도 제고를 위한 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 구체적으로 본 연구에서는 도서관 서비스 활동에 대한 성과측정치 가운데 하나로 볼 수 있는 도서관 대출성과와 특성요인들(면적, 직원수, 장서수, 예산) 간의 관계를 분석하고 있다. 2004년부터 2007년까지 한국도서관협회에서 발간하고 있는 한국도서관연감에 포함된 통계 자료에 기초하여 이러한 관계를 종합적으로 분석한 결과, 대학도서관이 보유하고 있는 장서수와 도서관의 예산 규모 및 도서관 고유의 공간 면적 등과 같은 요소가 대출성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다(가설 1, 3 및 4 입증). 이와 같은 실증연구 결과는 대학도서관의 환경적 요소를 구성하는 도서관 면적이나 장서의 구입 및 개발 활동을 적극적으로 수행함으로써 대학당국을 만족시키고, 그러한 활동에 대한 투자(예산 지원)를 통하여 지속적인 도서관 활동(도서대출) 성과의 향상을 도모할 수 있을 것이다.

  • A high performance and low noise refrigerator fan has been developed in order to satisfy the customer's high quality needs, that is, luxury, big size and low noise. In this study, the characteristics of a new developed fan and a current fan was calculated and compared by using numerical simulation. Rotation of a fan makes cold air circulation inside a refrigerator. A numerical simulation of air flow shows distribution and local flow regime of a cold air flow circulation, and revealed a cause of low noise as well. Optimization of a duct shape also decreased noise level.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the guideline of the interior design of Wedding halls, based on a series of investigations and analysis of the consumer's preference. Marriage is an essential ceremony of family life. However the Wedding culture has been changed since the western culture affected to traditional marriage concept. Many countries have different wedding culture and traditiov. Ours are largely divided into the traditional Korean wedding ceremony and the modern, i.e. the westerv. The customer's preference and the opinion for the Wedding hall analyzed through survey to find out the guideline for the interior desigv. The result of this research can be summarized as followings; 1) The interior design was the most influential element when choosing the wedding hall. 2) The preferred colors for the wedding hall were pink and white. 3) The preferred light fixture for the wedding hall was the chandelier. 4) The main points concerned in the guideline of interior design for the wedding hall were building facade, accessibility toward the wedding hall, parking lot, traffic circulation and etc.

  • Because the coins of about 920 billion are hoarded during these ten years, the national treasury of about 35 billion wons is wasted in minting coins every year. In this paper we promote to revitalize the circulation of coins through the connection with the financial world. Firstly embedded software that is contained in the coin banking ATM is developed. Then we developed new business process model that does customer spend coins efficiently in online through this system. The system constructed in this paper can contribute to the public interest and the marketability of the nation because of reducing waste of the national treasury and improving utilization and negotiability of coins.

대도시 젊은이들의 라이프스타일 유형별 외식서비스 인카운터 중요 속성 연구 (The Important Attributes of Foodservice Encounters According to Life-style Types as Offered by Young Metropolitan Customers)

  • Life-style factors often include social relationships as well as consumption, entertainment and dress patterns. They also typically reflect an individual's attitudes, values and worldview. Life-style types have become and an important factor for segmenting customer markets ever since significant relationships between life-style and customers' behavior was proven. This study examined the relationships between the life-styles of young customers' and the important attributes of foodservice encounters. Factors analysis with VARIMAX and K-means cluster analysis were conducted to group the subjects by life-style. According to the factors analysis, four underlying dimensions were identified and labeled: (1) 'actively fashioned', (2) 'luxury picky', (3) 'healthy toward', and (4) 'utilitarian leisure'. Based on the factor scores derived from the factors analysis, the K-means cluster analysis classified three groups as statistically significant using ANOVA(p<0.05). The overall mean score for the 3rd cluster 'trendy-active picky' was higher than the other two clusters, and represented very picky attitudes about foodservice attributes. The 3rd cluster also seemed to apply higher standards to all of the foodservice attributes. By order of importance, the most important attributes of the 2nd cluster 'pursue-utilitarian leisure' were food serving time, automation systems, server's hygienes, employee kindness, time in line, and menu variety. In spite of low concerns for the life-style attributes, the first cluster 'passively indifferent' recognized menu variety, food sanitation, food serving time, server's hygiene, menu price, air circulation, and room temperature as important. These results suggest that young diners in Korea could be classified by their diverse life-styles that are represented as trendy, utilitarian, and indifferent and will hopefully contribute to the foodservice industry's ability to segment customer characteristics by different life-styles in Korea.

  • This paper describes a comprehensive approach to examine how technological innovation contributes to the renewal of a firm's competences through its dynamic and reciprocal relationship with R&D and product commercialization. Three theories of technology and innovation (the R&D and technological knowledge concept, product-process concept, technological interdependence concept) are used to relate technology and innovation to strategic management. Based on these theories, this paper attempts to identify the dynamic relationship between product innovation and process innovation using system dynamics by investigating that aspect of the dynamic changes in the closed feedback circulation structure in which R&D investments drive the accumulation of technological knowledge. Further, such knowledge accumulation actualizes product innovation and process innovation, subsequently resulting in an increase in productivity, customer satisfaction, profit generation, and.
