  • The modern architecture has to find more essential configuration order rather than the spatial order in the reasonable feint. In other side, paintings and sculptures as a part of the building in the past become a pure art and develop an abstract art. Also they make many affects on the modern architecture as a paradigm. New material has brought to the new forms and the changes of the overall culture and art. One of the new changes has made the object that is one of unique culture symptoms in the 20C and the general part of the modem art includes it. The wall that limits the inside area through mass and volume before the recent times had treated as the object to express the special mean and character. However, the wall has developed as a component that consists of the internal space through surface and volume rather than mass or structure since the recent times. Now, I survey the objective tendency of the wall in the modem interior architecture mainly focused on the relation between object in the abstract art and wall inside.

  • The emergence of independent cinema in the United States in the 1960s was the earliest sign of postmodernism in the country, which was often referred to as "underground cinema". The works, in a counter-cultural stance, overturned the thought of depth of traditional art cinema, not exploring the meaningful relationship between form and content in terms of artistic technique, but creating an aesthetic that echoed the "Pop Art" of the time by collaging established means of expression with traditional and fashionable ones in a consumerist manner. In this paper, American independent cinema was examined, firstly by analyzing the local and external factors that contributed to its rise. Secondly, two genres of independent cinema core paradigm, "underground cinema" and "pop cinema" were focused on, as a way of demonstrating the attention and influence that independent cinema has gained. Finally, we found that independent cinemas are also seeking for alternative exploration and diverse expressions in the context of the times.

Mullae-dong has changed its urban structure into a textile factory, a manufacturing industry, an ironworks+artistic complex, and the Mullae art factory has been organizing a festival that has been created by artists and residents alike in the Mullae creative village. However, prior to the creation of the Mullae art factory in the social element, self-sustaining programs of Mullae creative villages were derived, but now commercial space is mainly derived. Therefore, it is necessary to plan for coexistence of ironworks, cultural space and commercial space rather than expanding into commercial space. Geumcheon-gu Geumcheon-gu Geumcheon Art Factory has become an integrated complex where various industries coexist in industrial complex. Geumcheon Art Factory also holds an artist support program every year and actively works as an international creative exchange center in Seoul. However, programs that act as a mediator are not implemented since 2014, and the Open Studio stops once a year. Therefore, Geumcheon-gu needs to expand programs that can include local programs and programs that can be combined with local cultural media.

Based on previous research, cultural and economic capital, health perception, and residence were selected as independent variables, and 1,755 single household data on cultural attendance, art education, and demographics were extracted to analyze the relationships. Zero-inflated negative binomial model was employed as cultural attendance variable includes many zeros. It was found that education has a significant impact on cultural attendance possibility and frequency. However, art education in childhood, income, health perception, and residence were found to have selective effects, and unique characteristics of single households influences the findings. This study contributes to developing relevant research by focusing on the single households and provides implications to boost cultural consumption. Finally, directions for future research, such as considering psychographic variables, were suggested.

  • “The ultimate aim of the anthropology of art [fashion] must be the dissolution of art [fashion].” Alfred Gell, Art and Agency (1998) This study aims to rethink fashion by examining issues that have emerged out of recent writings in the anthropology of art. Since their inaugural coinciding, sound discussions have emerged between the anthropology of art and the art world, addressing such subjects as: ‘artworks and artefacts’, ‘Western and non- Western discourse’, and ‘art and agency’ (Gell 1992; 1993; 1996; 1998). This study is comprised of a series of discussions, the subjects of which follow: the relationship between fashion and art; art and the anthropology of art; and in parallel with this, examining the possibility for an anthropology of fashion. This study employs a qualitative approach based on the discussion of relevant literatures dealing with fashion, art and art theory for its methodology, followed by a brief examination of a case of the Vivienne Westwood exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in terms of an empirical account.

  • In this paper, we survey the auction on the art and the art price index in the international and Korea art market. The auction plays a role on the art market from art creators to art collectors. The auction will grow because it utilizes the open art market. The art price index which is developed to give a guide in art investment. However, the history of art index is short and the developed art index is not well widely used. Since, the art price is opened in the auction, so it provides the necessary condition to develop art price index. In this study, we compare the foreign art price index with the domestic one and we examine the properties and utilization of the art price index in Korea.

  • Fine art and fashion have influences on each other since both of them are the part of a culture. The similar patterns of fine art and fashion can be found either in the same period or in the different time. To find out this fact in the forms or content, this study researched into the fine art and fashion of 1960s and into recent year's fashion to see the revivals. In 1960s, fine art and fashion laid emphasis on the materiality of material itself, therefore both fine art and fashion have the tendency of formlessness and disorder in form. It ran be said that the socio-cultural background of this phenomenon in 1960s was mainly caused by the young generation called Hippies. They became a large influential social group that has a huge impact on overall culture in 1960s. As a result, this study firstly found that the fine art and fashion had common formative features and content in 1960s. Secondly, fashion since 1990 repeats the similar features in form like the Post-minimal tendency in fine art in 1960s. The similar features can be described as: artworks have the tendency of the formlessness and disorder in appearances; various materials were newly used to form a work, which had never been used in traditional artworks; new methods such as hanging, layering and knotting were applied to show the maximum expression of the materiality. However, unlike the fashion of 1960s, the Post-minimal tendency in fashion since 1990s doesn't symbolized freedom or peace, or opposition to the war anymore. Instead, only the formative elements were revived and reproduced and the formless tendency became one of the recent fashion trends.

  • Media art, which is a combination of media technology and art, is making a lot of progress in combination with AI, IoT and VR. This paper aims to meet people's needs by creating a video that simulates the dance moves of an object that users admire by using media art that features interactive interactions between users and works. The project proposed a universal image synthesis system that minimizes equipment constraints by utilizing a deep running-based Skeleton estimation system and one of the deep-running neural network structures, rather than a Kinect-based Skeleton image. The results of the experiment showed that the images implemented through the deep learning system were successful in generating the same results as the user did when they actually danced through inference and synthesis of motion that they did not actually behave.
