본고는 21세기 데이터자본주의 시대의 강력한 물적 토대인 네트워크 테크놀로지와 그 사회문화적 메타포를 비판적으로 사유하여 예술적 가능성으로 전유한 테크노컬처 사례들을 연구대상으로 삼았다. 그리하여 그것의 대안성과 문화정치적 의미를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 2008년 글로벌 금융위기 이후 본격화된 데이터자본주의의 속성과 영향력, 그리고 그 반동으로 등장한 문화예술적 콘텍스트를 검토하였다. 본고에서 고찰한 첫 번째 사례인 퍼더필드의 <0달러 노트북컴퓨터> 워크숍은 예술과 테크놀로지가 서로 관계하는 배움과 교육을 통해 시민들이 사회변화에 참여할 수 있는 방법에 대해 사유할 수 있는 유용한 범례를 제공하였다. 두 번째 사례인 그리스의 해커스페이스 HSGR은 글로벌 금융위기로 인한 그리스의 재정위기, 국가의 창작지원 감소 등의 상황에서 공동의 진보적 '문화 공유지' 유형을 새롭게 제안하여 네트워크 테크놀로지를 위기 극복의 동력으로서 개발하였다. 세 번째 사례인 파올로 치리오의 <글로벌 다이렉트> 프로젝트는 사회적 거버넌스의 지배적 유형으로서의 국가와 커뮤니티 시스템을 향한 비평적 시민의식을 제고하였다. 이러한 테크노컬처 사례들은 네트워크 테크놀로지의 의미화 가능성에 주목하여, 문화정치의 맥락에서 진보적 정치 이념과 그것의 예술적 실현의 전통을 서로 조합하고 재발견한 실천이라 평가할 수 있겠다.

Dress and appearance are said to be related to power which results in in.f1uencing others. Fashion and appearance style of the first African American First Lady, Michelle Obama during the presidential campaign and the inaugural period were examined. It was analyzed how Mrs. Obama has used her appearance styling to give influence on the American people. Content analysis was applied to understand the meaning of her style. Cultural meaning of her appearance styling during presidential campaign was explained in terms of class ambivalence, racial tension, and gender ambivalence. Strategic negotiation among different classes, gender, and racial groups was shown in her styling and proven to be powerful.

This article offers a new perspective on the maroon state of Palmares in Brazil. The present essay gives a viewpoint of decolonization in colonial period, describing decolonial aspect and Afro-Brazilian aspect of the history of Palmares. In aspects of Afro-Brazilian, the quilombo of Palmares is resistance and decoloniality of african colonialization in America and Brazil. The Quilombism was born out of quilombo model of economics and politics, in which they exercised rational productions and political system. The purpose is to review and expand upon the historical and cultural context of Palmares and on the aspect for decolonial strategies.

This study uses a macro-viewpoint to investigate how female world leaders' clothing behaviors are different by nation and culture. This study conducted a comparative study on clothing behavior by cultural block in order to understand similarities and differences based on Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory. The findings are as follows. First, the clothing styles of female world leaders are categorized into classical suit style, national traditional style, and eclectic style. Second, classic suit style is more often found in countries characterized by high individualism, low power distance index, and low avoidance index. The style represents individual activity and rationality as well as trust towards women acting in men's roles. Third, a national traditional style is found in countries featuring high collectivism, high power distance index, and high uncertainty avoidance index. These countries share a culture that emphasizes harmony with the whole, rather than any one given part; consequently, clothing style represents a national identity (or the roles as a national member) rather than that of the individual level. Fourth, an eclectic clothing style is expressed in a mixture of classical suits and a national traditional style that depends on how much Eastern and Western cultures are reasonably compromised or Eastern tradition and Western culture coexist.

본 연구는 일상에서 문화적인 요소가 개인의 정치적 행위에 영향을 줄 수 있는 가능성을 탐색하기 위해 수행되었다. 지난 2014년 6.4 서울시장 선거에서 수집된 데이터를 이용하여, 개인이 소유한 다양한 문화자본의 정도가 미디어를 통한 정치정보 획득 방식에 어떤 영향을 주고 있는지에 대해 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같은 사실을 제시한다. 첫째, 개인이 가진 문화자본의 양이 많을수록 각종 미디어를 통해 정치정보를 획득하는 일에 적극적이다. 둘째, 문화자본의 종류 중, 문화적 선호와 문화적 소양과 같이 자신에 대한 인지적인 차원의 평가에서 높은 점수를 얻은 사람들은 온라인 뉴스, TV, 신문과 같이 주로 공식적인 뉴스 중심의 매체를 통해 정치정보를 얻고 있다. 셋째, 매체의 종류를 크게 전통 미디어와 뉴미디어로 구분했을 때, 다양한 종류의 문화자본을 소유한 사람들은 전통 미디어 보다는 뉴미디어를 정보획득 수단으로 선호하는 경향이 있다. 이와 같은 결과들은 일상의 개인적인 차원에서도 정치적 요소와 문화적 요소가 높은 상관관계를 가지고 있음을 나타내는 의미있는 발견이지만, 더 나아가 기존의 정보격차의 논의에 대해서도 시사하는 바가 크다.

모든 지명이 지니고 있는 명명 유연성은 지명과 공간의 밀접한 관련성을 암시하는 동시에 지명의 지리학적인 연구를 가능케 하는 기본 조건이다. 특히 지명 유연성은 지명을 생산하고 변경시키는 사회적 주체가 누구냐에 따라 그 인식의 정도가 달라질 수 있다. 지명의 생성과 변천은 사회적 주체의 아이덴티티와 이데올로기의 재현, 나아가 이들 사이의 권력관계에 의해 영향을 받을 수 있다. 이러한 판단을 실증하기 위해 필자는 공주목 진관 구역의 지명을 사례로 명명 유연성에 따른 지명 유형 분류와 그 안에 담긴 문화정치적인 의의를 살펴보았다. 공주목 진관 구역의 위치와 영역이 지닌 경계적이고 점이적인 성격은 다양한 사회적 주체들의 거주와 이동에 영향을 미쳤고 이들에 의한 다양한 지명 생성과 변천 경로를 양산하였다. 특히 공주목 진관 지명들은 전부 지명소의 영명 유연성에 따라 자연적 지명, 사회적 지명, 경제적 지명 등으로 분류되는데, 이들 유형의 지명이 명명되고 변천되는 과정에는 다양한 사회적 주체 그들의 장소 아이덴티티와 이데올로기를 재현하거나 권력관계를 통해 지명을 변경하려 한 다양한 문화정치적 특성이 확인되었다.

이 글에서는 푸에르토리코에 깊게 뿌리내린 인종주의를 이해하기 위해 세 가지 핵심적 용어를 중심으로 흑인성에 대한 사회문화적 배경을 살펴보고자 한다. 카세리오스, 레게톤, 트리게뇨스는 모두 푸에르토리코 사회의 인종민주주의 이데올로기와 깊은 연관이 있다. 카세리오스는 저소득층을 위한 공동주택으로서 범죄척결의 대상지로 지목되면서 흑인성에 고착된 폭력성과 무절제한 성, 가난의 이미지를 보다 확산시키는 결과를 낳았다. 레게톤은 2000년대 중반 세계적인 성공을 거두면서 푸에르토리코 섬뿐만 아니라 뉴욕 푸에르토리코의 아프로디아스포라의 음악적 힘에 주목하게 만들었다. 아프리카계 카리브 음악의 부상과 확산을 통해 푸에르토리코 문화적 정체성에서 흑인성이 갖는 의미를 재발견하는 계기가 되었다. 트리게뇨스는 물라토의 다른 이름으로서 최근 들어 혼혈인을 아우르는 통합적 용어로 자주 사용된다. 인종민주주의의 허상을 드러내는 한계와 더불어 흑인성의 대안적 개념이 될 수 있는 가능성을 지니고 있다. 이 세 가지 개념을 둘러싼 논의들은 고착화된 인종주의를 드러냄과 동시에 극복을 위한 문화적 노력과 잠재력을 엿보게 해준다. 인종적 불평등과 위계적 사회질서에 대해 역사적으로 침묵하도록 만든 인종주의의 고질성과 편재성에 저항하기 위해서 보다 강력하고 대응적인 문화정치학이 필요할 것이다.

A costume study is a part of the cultural history and also has the greatest relation to life's senses as a concrete culture. Korean costume that consists a double structure with Chinese one through Chosun Dynasty five hundred years, has recently changed up to the Western Form. In this respect Korean Costume has a important meaning in relation to Western costume. Traditional costume, generally speaking, has tendency to keep up by the common people than the higher classes. Then there were four classes. They are aristocratic classes common people, those who are engaged in the form, industry, trade and low classes. Merchant of them partially took charge of the cultural exchange about contacting with tradition and new one. Because it's easy to flow in one's character the new civilization. So there is an important significance to research of the merchant's costume in Gae Hwa Gi changing age of civilization in politics, economic, and social system. The records appeared about the merchant's costume in the age of civilization through literature study and natural photo at that time.

In the Sakha(Yakutia) Republic, culture and politics continue to be interwined. Shamanism recently has come out of hiding after Soviet repression, and into fashion. Images of the shaman are changing in villages, where traditional healers have maintained their practices in difficult conditions, and in cities, where a resurgence of spirit belief and healing has led to the revitalization of their nationalism. Shamans and folk healers manipulate their own images, and in turn are changed by the upheavals of politicized cultural revitalization. In this complex and interactive context, folklore about traditional shamans has become especially rich and accessible. I argue here that religion has become an idiom through which competing definitions of homeland and national pride are being shaped. Until September 2002, Yakutsk had never had a 'temple' devoted to the practice of traditional shamanic beliefs. Indeed the whole concept that a building 'Archie Jiete' could contain or represent the beliefs, values and rituals of the Sakha people was new, and highly controversial.

미디어 다양성은 글로벌 시장에서의 경쟁이라는 '환상의 짝꿍'과 더불어 한국 미디어 정책을 규정하는 화두로 등장했다. 미국식 기능 행태주의가 주도하는 미디어 정책은 다양성을 시장경쟁, 소비주체의 자유로운 선택이라는 좁은 울타리에 가둔다. 이에 본 논문은 다양성 그 자체를 하나의 완결한 정책목표로 보는 시각에 근본적인 문제제기를 하고자 한다. 다양성이 미디어 정책 담론의 전면에 등장하는 계기를 한국의 중첩적 정치 경제 맥락 속에서 파악하면서, 본 논문은 기존 계량주의 다양성 연구를 비판적으로 분석한다. 나아가 미디어 다양성이 '측정의 과학'에 과도하게 집착해 탈정치화하는 경향을 주목하며 문화연구자들이 미디어 다양성을 보다 진보적으로 전취하기 위한 몇 가지 제안을 하고자 한다. 핵심적인 주장은 미디어 다양성은 시장의 경쟁과 미디어 상품의 다양화라는 신자유주의의 경제논리를 넘어서야 한다는 것이다. 비판적 문화연구자들은 미디어 다양성을 한국 민주주의의 심화라는 보다 큰 정치 프로젝트 속에서 미디어 공공성의 강화, 독립 대안 미디어에 대한 실질적 지원, 급진적 정체성의 정치학 등의 전략과 함께 고려해야 한다.
