Purpose: The impact of prolonged sitting in a cross-legged posture on physiological factors has not been extensively studied. We therefore attempted to evaluate whether prolonged sitting in a cross-legged posture affects pulmonary function in normal young adults. Methods: Twenty-four participants were recruited in this study, and the participants were equally allocated to the normal sitting posture group (NSP group, n=12) or sitting posture with the cross-legs group (SPCL group, n=12). The NSP group sat on chairs without crossing their legs for 30 minutes, and the SPCL group sat on the chair with legs crossed (the right knee on the left knee or the left knee on the right knee) for 30 minutes. The pulmonary function of the subjects was evaluated based on forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), FVC/FEV1, and peak expiratory flow (PEF) measured using a spirometer. Results: In the intra-group comparison, the SPCL group showed significant differences in FVC and FEV1 before and after sitting (p<0.05), but no significant differences (p>0.05) were observed in the NSP group. However, there were no significant differences between the two groups in the pulmonary function parameters measured before and after sitting (p>0.05). Conclusion: Our results confirmed that prolonged sitting in a cross-legged posture could have a negative influence on pulmonary function. Therefore, if a sitting position is maintained for a long time, the correct sitting posture should be maintained to prevent musculoskeletal disorders as well as to maintain normal pulmonary function.
In this paper, a new model of TDF(two degree of freedom) spin-stabilized platform has been suggested. The platform driving signal modulated in the spinning frequency is described in demodulated form keeping its precession angular velocity. When a strong spinning torque exists, the cross-axis spring constant cannot be neglected in modelling of the platform precession dynamics. A linearized dynamic model of spin-stabilized platform pointing loop is derived and validated through the comparison between simulation and experimental results.

Sometimes we have two groups of inbred lines and there are only interest in gca comparisons within two groups of lines of sizes$\P_1$ and $\P_@$, not between two groups. For example, suppose there two Lab, each of the 2 Labs have obtained the best line. For this purpose we now give a method of constructing block designs for diallel cross experiments and we will explain how to calculate efficiency. Then we show the efficiencies in the table.
This paper is intended to describe the idiosyncratic aspects of the 'let alone' construction in English, clarifying the productivity property of this construction and to show that this construction displays the properties of prepositional phrase that denote the meaning of 'the comparison of degree', against the claim that this construction should be regarded as a coordinating conjunction. In the process of doing that, this paper classifies this 'let alone' construction into two types of construction, by investigating the external and internal syntactic distributions of 'let alone' constructions as well as the relationship between 'let alone' phrases and the main clause.
In order to detect the molecular mechanism of heterosis in pigs, the mRNA differential display technique was performed to investigate the differences in gene expression of pig's Longissimus dorsi between the high-parent heterosis cross combination Landrace${\times}$Large White and the mid-parent heterosis cross combination Large White${\times}$Meishan. Three pig purebreds, Large White, Meishan, and Landrace and four types of reciprocal $F_1$ hybrids were analyzed using nine 3'-end anchored primers in combination with ten 5'-end arbitrary primers and nearly 7,000 reproducible bands were examined. The patterns of gene expression of each cross combination were analyzed and eight common patterns (fifteen kinds) were found. When the results from the two cross combinations were put together and compared, eight different typical expression patterns were observed, these indicated that the patterns of gene expression of these two cross combinations had obvious differences. Gene expression correlation and cluster analyses of the two cross combinations indicated that the gene expression of the mid-parent heterosis cross combination was correlated with maternal effect, but in the high-parent heterosis cross combination, paternal effect acted in the gene expression of the hybrids or the gene expression of the hybrids was biased towards one parent.

In this paper, we present a spectrum sensing method by exploiting the relationship of previous and current detected data sets in frequency domain. Most of the traditional spectrum sensing methods only consider the current detected data sets of Primary User (PU). Previous state of PU is a kind of conditional probability that strengthens the reliability of the detector. By considering the relationship of the previous and current spectrum sensing, cross entropy-based spectrum sensing is proposed to detect PU signal more effectively, which has a strengthened performance and is robust. When previous detected signal is noise, the discriminating ability of cross entropy-based spectrum sensing is no better than conventional entropy-based spectrum sensing. To address this problem, we propose an improved cross entropy-based frequency-domain spectrum sensing. Regarding the spectrum sensing scheme, we have derived that the proposed method is superior to the cross entropy-based spectrum sensing. We proceed a comparison of the proposed method with the up-to-date entropy-based spectrum sensing in frequency-domain. The simulation results demonstrate the performance improvement of the proposed spectrum sensing method.
This study was designed to investigate the median nerve cross-sectional area of the upper extremity which is the main cause of CTS in the 20s and 30s. The median nerve cross-sectional area (MNC-area) of each part of the upper limb was measured in healthy 20s and 30s females and males without neurological diseases or other diseases. This MNC-area was compared with the hand, wrist, finger, and other body indexes. The research group was divided into 20s female and male groups, and the 30s were also divided into female and male groups. In the comparison between the ages, the hand, and wrist configurations in the 30s were significantly higher than those of the 20s. The mean median nerve cross-sectional area was significantly larger in the male group than in the female group in both 20s and 30s, and it was larger in both men and women than in the 20s. Hand and wrist configurations were also positively correlated with the median nerve cross-sectional area in both 20s and 30s. The median values of hand ratio and wrist ratio were 2.26 and 0.65, respectively. This median value of hand ratio was inversely correlated with the median nerve cross-sectional area. The median nerve cross-area of the 20s was 6.88~7.38 ㎟ in the male group and 5.69~6.99 ㎟ in the female group, respectively. The median nerve cross-area of the 30s was 6.32~8.89 ㎟ in the male group and 6.15~7.17 ㎟ in the female group, respectively. The mean median nerve cross-sectional area was positively correlated with body mass index in both groups. Most of the variables were higher in their 30s than in their 20s.
This study, multispectral and hyperspectral sensors were utilized to use radiometric cross validation for the purpose of radiometric quality evaluation of a 'KOMPSAT-3'. Images of EO-1 Hyperion and Landsat-8 OLI sensors taken in PICS site were used. 2 sections that have 2 different types of ground coverage respectively were selected as the site of cross validation based on aerial hyperspectral sensor and TOA Reflectance. As a result of comparison between the TOA reflectance figures of KOMPSAT-3, EO-1 Hyperion and CASI-1500, the difference was roughly 4%. It is considered that it satisfies the radiological quality standard when the difference of figure of reflectance in a comparison to the other satellites is found within 5%. The difference in Blue, Green, Red band was approximately 3% as a comparison result of TOA reflectance. However the figure was relatively low in NIR band in a comparison to Landsat-8. It is thought that the relatively low reflectance is because there is a difference of band passes in NIR band of 2 sensors and in a case of KOMPSAT-3 sensor, a section of 940nm, which shows the strong absorption through water vapor, is included in band pass resulting in comparatively low reflectance. To overcome these conditions, more detailed analysis with the application of rescale method as Spectral Bandwidth Adjustment Factor (SBAF) is required.

Radiographic planning is needed for implant placement in order to determine implant length, jaw bone volume, anatomical stucture and so on. Radiographic examination includes conventional radiography, conventional tomography and CT scan. The most accurate mesurement can be obtained from CT scan. For the cross-sectional view of mandible, CT scan reconstruction is generally needed. But the cross-sectional view of mandible can be reformed by personal computer. This study was performed to examine the clinical usefulness of reformed image using personal computer in comparison with CT scan reconstructed image. CT axial slices of 4 mandibles of 4 volunteers were used. Digital imaging system was composed of Macintosh Ⅱ ci computer, high resolution Sony XC-77 CCD camera, Quick Capture frame grabber board and 'NIH Image' program. Seven reconstructed cross-sectional images within CT machine(CT group) were obtained. And seven reformed cross-sectional images(PC group) after digitization of CT axial slices into the personal computer were obtained. PC group was compared with CT group in the objective and subjective aspects. The results were as follow: 1. Measurement of mandibular height & width in both group showed insignificant difference(P>0.05). 2. Subjective assessment of the mandibular canal in both group showed insignificant difference(P>0.05). 3. Image reformation using personal computer could provide panoramic view, which could not be obtained in CT scan reconstruction.
Current lead is a device that connects the power supply and superconducting magnets. High temperature superconductor (HTS) has lower thermal conductivity and higher current density than normal metal. For these reasons, the heat load can be reduced by replacing the normal metal of the current lead with the HTS. Conventional HTS current lead has same cross-sectional area in the axial direction. However, this is over-designed at the cold-end (4.2 K) in terms of current. The heat load can be reduced by reducing this part because the heat load is proportional to the cross-sectional area. Therefore, in this paper, heat load was calculated from the heat diffusion equation of HTS current leads with uniform and non-uniform cross-sectional areas. The cross-sectional area of the warm-end (65K) is designed considering burnout time when cooling system failure occurs. In cold-end, Joule heat and heat load due to current conduction occurs at the same time, so the cross-sectional area where the sum of the two heat is minimum is obtained. As a result of simulation, current leads for KSTAR TF coils with uniform and non-uniform cross-sectional areas were designed, and it was confirmed that the non-uniform cross-sectional areas could further reduce the heat load.
