A Study on the Perception of Image-making Regulations Change of Airline Cabin Crew and Career Decision

  • 본 연구의 목적은 항공사 승무원 취업준비생들의 항공사 객실승무원 이미지메이킹 규정변화에 대한 인식을 알아보고, 규정변화인식, 직업선택동기 및 진로결정 간의 영향관계를 규명하는데 있다. 이 연구에서는 광주, 전남 지역 항공서비스전공 여대생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 2019년 11월 18일부터 12월 13일까지 진행하였다. 총 203부의 설문지를 실증분석에 이용하였다. 수집된 자료는 'SPSS statistics 21.0'을 이용하여 빈도분석, 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 회귀분석을 하였다. 연구결과 항공서비스전공 학생들은 객실승무원 이미지메이킹 규정변화에 대해 긍정적으로 인식하고 있으며, 규정변화에 대한 인식은 직업선택동기와 진로결정에 유의한 영향을 미치고, 직업선택동기는 진로결정에 유의한 영향을 준다고 나타났다. 결론적으로 항공사에는 채용할 인재를 이해할 수 있는 정보를, 취업준비생에게는 취업을 위한 정보를 제공한다는 시사점을 갖는다. 그러나 이 연구의 표본대상의 지역적 한계, 성별적 한계와 표본 크기의 한계점을 갖는다.

Invader Detection System Using the Morphological Filtering and Difference Images Based on the Max-Valued Edge Detection Algorithm

  • Recently, pirates are infesting on the sea and they have been hijacking the several vessels for example Samho Dream and Samho Jewelry of Korea. One of the items to reduce the risk is to adopt the invader detection system. If the pirates break in to the ship, the detection system can monitor the pirates and then call the security alarm. The crew can gain time to hide to the safe room and the report can be automatically sent to the control room to cope with the situation. For the invader detection, an unmanned observation system was proposed using the image detection algorithm that extracts the invader image from the recording image. To detect the motion area, the difference value was calculated between the current image and the prior image of the invader, and the 'AND' operator was used in calculated image and edge line. The image noise was reduced based on the morphology operation and then the image was transformed into morphological information. Finally, a neural network model was applied to recognize the invader. In the experimental results, it was confirmed that the proposed approach can improve the performance of the recognition in the invader monitoring system.

A Study on the Image of Male Flight Attendant on Customer Satisfaction

  • Purpose - Many studies have shown the effects of the external images of female flight attendants on the customers' satisfaction. Recently, the perception of male flight attendants has become more important and positive, and airlines are hiring a significant number of male flight attendants every year. Due to the lack of research on the male flight attendant, however, the images of male flight attendants were investigated for this study. Research, design, data and methodology - Using survey techniques with 204 respondents, this study used analytical data based their resulting analysis. Results - The study examined whether the image of the male flight attendant affects the cognitive and emotional perceptions of customers. The focus of the present study is the external image of the male flight attendant, and the following image-component divisions were formed: hairstyle, body type, uniform, speech, and facial expression. Conclusions - The study purpose sought to determine whether the image of the male flight attendant exert effects on the emotional and cognitive images of airlines, and if these images have a positive effect on the customers' satisfaction and loyalty for an airline, so that airlines can use the external image of the male flight attendant to help with its own image reinforcement.

  • A high brand reputation of a airline means the airline is preferred by passengers because of its unique services being even better than others. This is why airline's specialized services are important in that those services would create a new brand value and build up the airline's brand image, being enable to have competitive advantage over other airlines, to provide satisfied services, to have a mutual trust between passengers and the airline and to create customer's loyalty. A-Airline have been trying to give passengers a joy of flight by providing its customized and specialized cabin services out of airlnes' stereo-typed services.Therefore this paper will find out how their satisfaction of the cabin services have a positive impact on customer loyalty through brand image, brand reputation, brand identity and brand attraction. Those services would not only contribute to upgrade A-airline's corporate image but show the way to which the cabin service is heading also.

  • 항공사 승무원 유니폼에 관한 선행연구와 실증적 연구를 살펴보고 항공사 승무원의 유니폼이 고객이 지각하는 소비정서에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것이 연구의 목적이다. 연구방법은 항공 관광 관련학과 재학생을 대상으로 2018년 3월 11일부터 25일까지 15일간 설문조사를 하였고, 총 289부의 유효표본 수를 분석하였다. 연구결과는 고객들은 승무원의 유니폼에 대하여 대형항공사와 저비용항공사 간의 지각하는 소비정서에 대한 영향에서 차이가 있는 것을 연결망 관계를 통해 증명하였다. 또한 저비용항공사에 대해 고객이 지각하는 소비정서는 편안하고, 친숙하며, 활기찬 등이며, 이러한 결과는 대형항공사인 깔끔하고 세련된 등으로 저비용항공사와 차별화되었다는 것을 증명하였다. 항공사는 적절한 시기에 승무원 유니폼을 변화시켜왔고, 회사의 이미지 변화에 상당히 중요하게 여기는 마케팅 도구로 생각할 때, 본 연구결과가 의미가 있다고 볼 수 있다.

서비스품질 향상을 통한 기내서비스 명품화에 관한 연구 - K항공사 승객과 승무원을 중심으로 - (A Research on Premium In-Flight Service by Enhancing Service Quality focusing on K-Airline's Passengers and Cabin Crews)

  • This paper tried to research the relationship among the passenger's satisfaction and expectation of in-flight service quality, overall satisfaction and passenger's Loyalty by emphasizing on two groups of passengers and cabin crews from K-airline to find out which service quality area should be focused on for pursuing premium in-flight service. Such six service quality areas as in-flight equipment, food&beverage, duty-free sales, service ability, service image and specialized service were conceived and survey questions were made based on relevant previous researches. The analysis has used the data of 281 passengers and 336 cabin crews from K-airline. According to the analysis, in physical service factors, passengers perceive satisfaction from duty-free sales contributes to overall service satisfaction. However, cabin crews believed in-flight equipment and food&beverage are important to overall service satisfaction. In human service factors, both groups seemed to agree service ability and service image have a positive impact on overall service satisfaction. Among service satisfaction factors, the customer's satisfaction from cabin crew's service ability(service response, professional knowledge and foreign language skill) is also proven to be directly connected to customer loyalty.

영상처리기법을 활용한 차량 검출 및 선박복원성 계산 (Vehicle Detection and Ship Stability Calculation using Image Processing Technique)

  • 우리나라는 여러 건의 여객선 사고를 겪으면서, 여객선 안전관리를 위해 다양한 제도를 운영하고 있다. 2021년 기준 우리나라 연안을 운항하는 여객선 162척 중, 차량갑판이 개방된 형태의 차도선이 105척(65 %)을 차지하고 있다. 차도선은 2~4개의 섬을 경유하는 운항 패턴을 가지고 있다. 출항지(모항)에서 안전점검은 선원과 운항관리실의 운항감독관, 해사안전감독관에 의해 실시된다. 경유지에서의 안전점검은 자체점검이 실시되는 경우가 있다. 여느 제도와 마찬가지로 제도적, 현실적 한계 등이 있다. 이를 위해 영상처리기법을 활용하여 차량을 검출하고 이를 선박 복원성 계산과 연동하는 방안을 제안하고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 차량 검출을 위해 차영상을 이용하는 방법과 기계학습을 이용하는 방법을 사용하였다. 검출된 데이터를 선박 복원성 계산에 활용하였다. 기계학습을 통해 차량을 검출하는 경우, 차영상에 의한 차량 검출 방법보다 차량 식별에 안정적임을 알 수 있었다. 다만, 카메라가 일몰과 같은 상황에서 역광을 받는 경우와 야간과 같은 상황에서 부두와 선박 내부의 강한 조명에 의해 차량이 식별되지 않는 한계가 있었다. 안정적인 영상처리를 위해 충분한 영상 데이터 확보와 프로그램 고도화가 필요해 보인다.

  • Aviation industry, which is highly dependent on human resources, emphasizes airline's human resources management and performance check because quality of services provided to customers is closely related to airline's employees. Because roles of cabin crews take a significant portion of services provided to customers, airlines and cabin crews represent an inseparable relationship. Attitudes of cabin crews who plays the role of facing and dealing with customers directly in the process of providing flight related services are an essential factor that determines an image of an airline and actually have significant impact on the performance as well. By increasing performance satisfaction of cabin crews, organizational loyalty can be strengthened and such successful human resources management could have a positive effect on increasing customer satisfaction as well as revenues. From corporate's perspective, performance satisfaction of an employee is a crucial factor that decides the quality of service provided to customers that supports employee retention as well as client retention. This can eventually lead to organization loyalty that can positively affect overall work performance. Thus if corporates put efforts in and invests to improve and develop favorable attitudes and service quality within employees, performance satisfaction and organizational goals will be more effectively achieved.

일부 승무원의 구강건강 인식과 심미적 관심 (The Study on Oral Health Recognition and Aesthetic Interest of Flight Attendant)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 승무원의 구강건강과 심미적 관심도에 관한 연구로 A항공사에서 근무하는 승무원 314명을 대상으로 2014년 6~7월 동안 자기기입식 설문으로 조사되었다. 사용한 도구는 건강과 구강건강 인식, 구강건강관리, 외적이미지, 외적이미지가 직장생활에 미치는 영향이다. 수집된 자료는 PASW Statistics 18.0을 이용 하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 연령별, 경력별 구강건강 인식에 유의한 차이가 있었고, 교육수준별 삶의 질 인식에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 외적이미지가 직장생활에 미치는 영향은 연령별 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 외모관리 연간 지출비는 성별, 경력별, 소득 집단에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 승무원은 구강건강이 전신건강보다 건강하지 않다고 인식하고 있어, 외적이미지에 구강건강이 주요한 영향요인이며, 심미증진을 위한 주기적 예방처치 및 심미처치를 시행하고 있었다. 그러나 직무 특성상 구강관리 자가평가가 낮게 조사되어 구강관리 행위 실천을 위한 방안모색이 요구된다. 또한 구강관리가 전신건강을 유지하는데 필수적인 만큼 이에 대한 관심 증대가 요구된다.

애니메이션에 나타난 악당 캐릭터 분석 : 미국과 중국 애니메이션 캐릭터 특징을 중심으로 (Analysis of Villain Characters in Animation : Focusing on the Characteristics of Animation Characters in the U.S. and China)

  • Since the birth of animation, the United States has created many classic characters. For example, Mickey Mouse and Minnie, Tom and Jerry, Lion King, and Nemo, which are imaged with animal images, include Snow White, Bell, Mulan, and Aladdin. In addition, there are villain characters designed with strong personality and personality design, such as Snow White's stepmother Grimheel, Ursula, Bad Girl Crew El Radville, Scar, Captain Hook, and so on. These animation characters have been remembered for a long time with stories in people's minds, and have also brought laughter and emotion to people all over the world, which has brought a lot of business value to animation companies. Recently, the villain of American animation works is becoming more and more suited to the taste of the audience. The villain is not a symbolic image of the brutality we have seen before. They are not only visual images with rich and diverse personalities, but are also designed to suit the tastes of the public with a multifaceted inconsistency. They appear as ordinary people in our lives in works, or as powerful people who are not realistic. The villain characters designed in this way are real human miniatures appearing in the relationships in our lives, and they cannot judge good or bad only by their appearance. Through the study of villains in American animation, many villains in American animation were summed up, and villains could be classified into three types: brutal, violent, and sneaky. Based on this, it was possible to analyze the appearance and attire of the villain character in American animation, and to create a vivid and popular image of the villain, it was found that the character of the character should be emphasized when constructing the shape and costume of the villain character. In conclusion, the attractive formation of villain characters is an important part for successful animation. The production of vivid and long-lasting villain characters must begin with detailed settings such as personality, shape, and dress from the planning stage, which is not only the intention of the producer, but also a reflection of the aesthetic psychology that society should pay attention to today.
