As the fourth industrial revolution accelerates, universities have made great efforts to develop and reform creative convergence courses for improving the students' creative convergence capabilities. Although various subjects such as "Capstone" and "Design Thinking" to the improvement of students' creative convergence competences, many courses focus on creativity education in the direction of creating new products or outputs such as engineering, design, and art, so there is still a lack of systematic education and subjects on creative convergence capabilities from a humanities and sociological perspective. In order to overcome their limitations of creative courses, "H" University developed a 'Imaginative Innovators' class with the purpose of solving creative problems on social issues related to sciences, culture, politics, economics, and so on. In this study, we introduced the purpose, methodology, students' best practices etc. of the "Imaginative innovator" course. In addition, we discussed the limitations and complements as well as the advantages and possibilities of the course. These findings are expected to contribute to the development and expansion of creativity education.

Relationships between socio-demographic variables and parents' education invest-ment motivation variables and extra-class private education expenditures were examined using a sample of 602 households in Inchon Korea. Tobit analysis was used. Singal-cognitive motivation parents' duty motivation household income housing asset father's occupation class and number of children had significant effects on extra-class private education expenditures on general high school students. To alleviate overspending in extra-class private education diploma pursuing society has to be changed and formal school education need to be properly functioning. Finally parents seek new child education paradigm for the creative labor demand in the next millenium.

The purpose of this study was to introduce the practical model on the enhancement of the divergent and convergent thinking skills through inquiry instruction in science class. In this study, the creative thinking skill has been defined by divergent thinking skill as the narrow sense. In the science field, the problem solving thinking skill is just same as the inquiry thinking skill. Also, the problem solving thinking skill has been defined by convergent thinking skill as the critical thinking skill. This new instruction had been used for the college student in the class of general chemistry laboratory for the one semester. The first results had been founded that the students' divergent thinking skill had been increased significantly. Especially, the skills of recognition of problems, the skills of making hypothesis, and the skills of transformation and interpretation of data had been increased significantly. The second results had been founded that the students' convergent thinking skill had been increased significantly. Especially, the skills of making hypothesis, the skills of transformation and interpretation of data, and the skills of making conclusion and generalization had been increased significantly. The third results had been founded that the students' the creative and problem solving thinking skill had been increased significantly. Especially, the rest of all skills exception the skill of control variables had been increased significantly.

This study examined the effects of creative musical on school adaptation and self-efficacy improvement of school maladjusted adolescents. The subjects of this study were 229 students classified as suspected school maladjustment groups through Wee class counselors and students who were judged as at-risk groups as a result of the emotional behavioral evaluation test conducted by the Office of Education. The study period consisted of 100 minutes per session once a week from May 1st to October 31st, 2023, and a total of 15 sessions were held. To verify the effectiveness, a self-efficacy scale (SES) of Kim A-young (2002)'s school adaptation scale and Sherer et al. (1982) was conducted before and after the creative musical, and the results were analyzed through the corresponding t-test. As a result of the study, the subject's school adaptation (p<.05) and the sub-factors of companionship (p<.05), school class (p<.05), and school rules (p<.05) all increased and were statistically significant after the creative musical compared to before. The subject's self-efficacy (p<.01) and the sub-factors of the study, general self-efficacy (p<.01), and social self-efficacy (p<.05) also increased and were statistically significant after the creative musical compared to before it was conducted. Therefore, this study revealed that creative musicals are effective in improving school adaptation and self-efficacy of school maladjusted adolescents.

The purpose of this study is to develop and implement an alternative elementary mathematics curriculum to enhance creative problem solving ability. The curriculum consisting of three main elements was developed. The three elements are content knowledge, process knowledge and creative thinking skills. The curriculum contents and the units were developed by mathematics educators, elementary educators, psychologists, elementary school teachers and curriculum specialists for 3 years. In order to test the effectiveness of the developed curriculum, the 5 units based on a problem-based-learning (PBL) method were implemented in a 5th grade class as an experimental group during the second semester. For the comparison group the ordinary lesson based on the 6th national mathematics curriculum was implemented during the same period. Performance assessment was developed and used for the pre and post test. T-est was use to testify that the effect of the curriculum is statistically signigicant. The results of the test showed that the experimental group progressed significantly in the creative problem solving ability, but the comparison group did not.

This paper deals with the introduction of capstone design project by team activities in Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Korea Maritime University. This course is referred to as Creative Engineering Design for spring semester of 4th-year undergraduates. The course focuses on creative thinking and cooperative mind to students by learning engineering design skills, realizing their idea through design project and recognizing practicality of their systems. The intent of the course is to provide a true "capstone" experience, where students can combine their skills to achieve the successful completion of a project. This paper describes class process and evaluation method, and cooperative works with mentees and industrial mentors connected through Hanium network for IT mentoring activities.

Education for International Understanding is not fully implemented in middle schools although it is underlined in the 7th Curriculum. So this study aims to analyse the areas in which Education for International Understanding through the creative optional activities in the middle schools can be conducted, and the method to promote Education for International Understanding through these areas. And we propose the specific instruction plans which can be used in class on each area and some points of the methodological improvement.

The purpose of this study is to develop creativity-based creative convergence subjects for nursing students. For the purpose of this study, the procedures are conducted that the needs analysis, setting educational goals, segmentation of educational goals, selection of educational contents and organization by F. Bobbitt's curriculum development model and the creative convergence subject was developed through the verification process of the validity of experts. Through a theoretical review, the contents of education in creative convergence subjects consisted of converging with other areas, focusing on creativity. It was presented as a liberal arts subject with two credits, and as an educational method, an online class utilizing blended learning and offline classes centered on activities by teams were presented. In addition, the curriculum was divided into understanding, application, synthesis, and deepening so that students could understand the concept of creative convergence thinking and apply it through thinking techniques and strategies, and finally improve their creative convergence thinking abilities through team projects.

This study aims to verify the effects of the sewing practice class, developed for the cultivation of creativity and personality, the two qualities that the Korean Department of Education tried to emphasize in 2009 national curriculum. We conducted a single-group pretest-posttest experiment with the developed sewing practice class as a treatment. Results are as follows. First, the comparison results of before and after the developed sewing practice class showed that there were meaningful differences in creativity and its subfactors such as divergent thinking skill, problem solving ability, open-mindedness and patience. This is because in-class activities such as coming up with ideas by group discussion, creative activities and problem-solving experiences make the students be aware that they are the hosts of the class. It also affected their abilities of producing creative ideas and solving problems proactively. Second, the developed sewing practice class had an impact on students' personality and its subfactors like responsibility, diligence, consideration, communication skill, and collaborative ability. This practice class is based on personal activities which lead to the completion of the group assignment. This has not only emphasized individual responsibilities, but also highlighted the completion of group work and encouraged the flow of communication and cooperation among students. As a result, we concluded that this practice class helped nourish the participating students' personality.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of creative product performance on scientific attitude, scientific self efficacy and creative problem solving ability of science-gifted elementary students. The subjects of the study were 20 students who were enrolled in science-gifted class of G elementary school. 8 period lessons of the creative product performance were given to the students after simulated creative product performance lessons. Pre and post tests were done before and after executing lessons to assess the change of students' scientific attitude, scientific self efficacy and creative problem solving ability. The findings and results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, creative product performance had meaningful effect in improving scientific attitude of science-gifted students. Second, creative product performance had meaningful effect in improving scientific self efficacy of science-gifted students. Third, creative product performance had meaningful effect in improving creative problem solving ability of science-gifted students. From questionnaire interview, we could know that subject students had difficulties in carrying out the performance at first but after the performance they came to have favorable impression and high satisfaction level about the performance.
