문제발견 중심의 과학토론수업이 초등학생들의 과학 창의적 문제해결력과 과학탐구능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Scientific Discussion Classes Focusing Problem Finding on the Primary School Students' Scientific Creative Problem Solving Ability and Science Process Skills)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding on the primary school students' scientific creative problem solving ability, science process skills and attitude toward science class. To verify this research problem, the subject of this study was fifth-grade students selected from four classes of M elementary school located in Busan city. For four months, the experimental group of 51 students was taught using the "scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding". The control group also of 53 students was taught in normal classes which used a text-book. All students were given pre and post test to verify the effects of scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding on the primary school students' scientific creative problem solving ability, science process skills and attitude toward science class. The results from this study are as the following. First, the scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding were effective in scientific creative problem solving ability among the primary school students. It is possibly because in the process where one student compare his/her own thoughts with the others' ones and discuss them. Second, the scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding were effective in science process skills among the primary school students. Third, the scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding were effective in attitude toward science class. In conclusion, the scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding had positive effects on improvement of primary school students' scientific creative problem solving ability, science process skills and also could lead to a change in students' cognition about science class to a positive way. Therefore, the scientific discussion class focusing problem finding is hopefully to be provided as an effective instructive strategy of science class in school in the future.

초등학교 3학년 '혼합물의 분리' 단원에서 문제해결 과정을 강조한 수업 전략 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Teaching Strategy Focused on Problem Solving Process in the 'Separation of Mixture' Unit of Third Grade Elementary School)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a teaching strategy focused on problem solving process and explore its effects on science creative problem solving ability, science process skills, science academic achievements and scientific attitudes of students after applying it. Teaching strategy focused on problem solving process employed brainstorming and PMI thinking strategies. The participants were the third grade students of both an experimental class(26 students) and a comparative class(25 students) at the S elementary school located in Goyang-City, Kyonggi Province. The developed strategy was applied to the experimental class for 9 periods of 'Separation of mixture' unit. The results of the tests on the science creative problem solving ability, the science process skills, scientific achievement and scientific attitude were statistically higher in the experimental class.

컴퓨팅사고력, 창의적 문제해결력 신장을 위한 대학 교양 SW 기초 교육의 효과 분석 (Analysis of the Effectiveness of Liberal SW Education focused on Developing Computational Thinking and Creative Problem Solving Ability)

  • 대학 교양 SW 기초 교육은 SW를 기반으로 일상 생활의 문제를 창의적으로 해결할 수 있는 능력을 기르는 데 중점을 두어야 한다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 컴퓨팅사고력, 창의적 문제해결력을 신장시키기 위한 수업을 설계하고, 수업의 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 A 대학교 학생 38명을 대상으로 융합프로젝트, CT-CPS 모형을 고려하여 SW 기초 교육을 실시하고 그 효과를 분석하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, SW 기초 교육을 진행한 후 전체 학생들의 컴퓨팅사고력, 창의적 문제해결력이 유의하게 향상되었다. 둘째, 상위, 하위 집단의 컴퓨팅사고력과 하위 집단의 창의적 문제해결력이 유의하게 향상되었으나, 상위 집단의 창의적 문제해결력은 향상되지 않았다. 셋째, 인문사회계열과 자연과학계열의 컴퓨팅사고력과 자연과학계열의 창의적 문제해결력이 유의하게 향상되었으나, 인문사회계열의 창의적 문제해결력은 향상되지 않았다. 본 연구는, 컴퓨팅사고력, 창의적 문제해결력 신장에 초점을 두어 수업을 설계하고, 수업의 효과를 사전 검사 결과 및 계열에 따라 심층적으로 분석하였다는 점에서 연구의 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

캡스톤디자인 프로그램이 간호학생의 창의적리더십, 문제해결능력, 비판적사고 성향에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Capstone Design Program on Creative Leadership, Problem Solving Ability and Critical Thinking)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호학생에게 캡스톤디자인 프로그램을 적용하여 창의적리더십, 문제해결능력, 비판적사고 성향에 미치는 효과를 파악하고자 시도되었다. 연구 대상자는 P시 U 대학교 간호 캡스톤디자인 교과목을 수강한 18명 실험군과 K 대학교 20명을 대조군으로 선정하였다. 자료는 자가보고식 설문지를 이용하여 간호 캡스톤디자인 수업 전 후에 수집되었다. 연구결과 창의적리더십, 문제해결능력, 비판적사고 성향이 통계적으로 유의하게 향상된 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 창의적리더십, 문제해결능력, 비판적 사고성향 에는 양의 상관관계가 나타나 창의적리더십이 높아지면 문제해결능력과 비판적 사고 성향이 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구를 바탕으로 캡스톤디자인 교육 실시 후 창의적리더십, 문제해결능력과 비판적사고 성향 등을 반복적으로 조사하여 이를 간호교육의 다양한 교수학습방법으로 활용할 것을 제언한다.

샌드박스형 게임을 활용한 게임기반학습이 창의적 문제해결력과 학습몰입도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Game based Learning Utilized Sandbox Game on Creative Problem-solving Ability and Learning Flow)

  • 초등학생을 대상으로 샌드박스형 게임인 마인크래프트 에듀를 활용한 게임기반학습을 적용하여 창의적 문제해결력과 학습몰입도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 그 결과 기존의 전통적인 강의식 교수법보다 샌드박스형 게임을 활용한 게임기반학습을 적용했을 때 창의적 문제해결력과 학습몰입도에서 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 창의적 문제해결력은 모든 하위요소에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며 학습몰입도는 통제감, 시간 감각의 왜곡을 제외한 하위요소에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다.

일반계고의 창의공학설계 수업을 위한 아두이노 기반 STEAM 수업자료 개발과 적용 (Development of STEAM Instructional Materials using Arduino for Creative Engineering Design Class in High Schools and Its Application)

  • The purpose of the study was to develop the Arduino based STEAM instruction materials for creative engineering design class. PDIE model was used in this study. We developed a STEAM lesson plan and a STEAM lesson worksheet for a total of six sessions through the steps of preparation, development, implementation and evaluation. The validity of the instruction materials was evaluated by the 10 experts using a survey. The instruction materials were applied to the class (52 students attended) of the creative engineering designs unit in technology and home economics subject. The class satisfaction and the creative solving-problem ability were examined after the calss. The class satafacition was high as the average of 10 item was 4.57 (out of 5). The paired t-test was conducted to compare the means of the creative solving-problem ability. It was observed that 'understanding and mastery of knowledge, thought, function and skills in a specific domain', 'divergent thinking', 'critical and logical thinking' and ' motivational factors' were significantly increased after the class. The instruction materials develped in this study were successfully designed to enhance the creative solving-problem ability by designing creative tasks and to intrique the interest by adding visual and auditory stimuli with the Arduino.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of 'strata-fossils' STEAM program with questions on the academic achievement, creative problem-solving ability and scientific interests of elementary students. For this purpose, the STEAM program with questions was developed and applied to the third and fourth graders in elementary school. As a result, the academic achievement, creative problem-solving ability and scientific interests of the group applying the program showed a significant improvement in the post-test than the pre-test. The result of learner satisfaction survey of the STEAM program was also high. This means that the STEAM program class with questions for 'strata-fossils' could be meaningful works to encourage students' academic achievement as well as their creative problem-solving ability and scientific interests. Therefore, it seems necessary to apply for other themes in elementary science continuously.

PEOE 수업모형을 적용한 수업이 학습자의 장·단기 파지 및 정의적 영역에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of PEOE-Based Class on Learners' Long- and Short-Term Retention and Affective Area)

  • The purpose of this study is to apply the PEOE class model that can enhance students' scientific creative problem-solving ability and self-directed learning ability in the middle school science subject and analyze the effects of it on students' long- and short-term retention, scientific creative problem-solving ability, and self-directed learning characteristics. And the paper has gained the following results: First, according to the result of analysis through the pre-test, post-test, and delay test to examine the effects of PEOE-based class on learners' long- and short-term retention, it is found to be statistically significant in the significant level of .05. In other words, the class using PEOE influences learners' short-term retention significantly, but it is even more effective in transmitting the concept that students acquire into their long-term memory. Second, according to the result of analysis through the pre-test and post-test to examine the effects of PEOE-based class on learners' scientific creative problem-solving ability, it is found to be statistically significant in the significant level of .05 in general. However, 'elaboration' and 'originality', the subfactors of scientific creative problem-solving ability, do not indicate significant effects. Third, according to the result of analysis through the pre-test and post-test to examine the effects of PEOE-based class on learners' self-directed learning characteristics, it is found to be statistically significant in the significant level of .05 as a whole. However, 'openness' and 'future-oriented self-understanding', the subfactors of self-directed learning characteristics, do not exert significant effects. Based on the above study results, it can be concluded that PEOE-based class is more effective for learners' academic achievement in science, scientific creative problem-solving ability, and self-directed learning characteristics than lecture-method instruction regarding the middle school science unit of 'The Properties of Air and Weather Change'.

간호학 문제중심학습에 기초한 창의성통합교육모형(C-PBL) 개발 및 효과 (Development of Creativity Integrated Problem-Based Learning Model for Nursing Education)

  • Purpose: This study aimed at (a) developing an instructional model of creative thinking education on the problem-based learning method (C-PBL) in undergraduate nursing curriculum at one University, and (b) examining its effect on nursing students' level of creativity and outcomes from problem-based learning. Methods: The C-PBL model was implemented on 43 juniors of the experimental group with a 30 hour-nursing class during one semester. The control group, with 54 seniors, received 4 hours of problem based learning training in an adult nursing class. Pre-and post-tests were done with the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking for creative thinking ability, the Integrated Creativity Instrument for creative motivation and attitudes, the Problem Solving Competency questionnaire, and the Self-Directed Learning Instrument. Results: The C-PBL model was developed using a caring situation scenario to solve nursing problems with 3 training steps of 'encountering a patient in a caring situation', 'exploring nursing knowledge', and 'designing creative caring beyond given knowledge'. Between the experimental group and the control group, there were significant differences in creativity (p<.010), problem-solving ability (p<.010), and self-directed ability (p<.010). Conclusion: This C-PBL method could contribute in increasing creative competency as well as problem-solving ability for nursing students.

트리즈 학습에 따른 공학적 문제해결능력 분석 (Analysis of Engineering Problem-Solving Ability by the TRIZ Learning)

  • Amonng many creative problem-solving methodologies, the TRIZ with practicality and applicability has been utilized a lot in practice and education. This research introduced the TRIZ course for engineering problem-solving training to engineering college students. Then, a survey about students' ability to solve engineering problems after the TRIZ course were analyzed statistically. Finally, problem-solving cases of industry in each team project were examined. It is proved that an understanding of the TRIZ should be confirmed on that can be applied and utilized and can be linked to well performing team projects. Therefore, it is determined that more active efforts are required for the development of TRIZ learing methods to improve the education system to help students improve comprehension for students in creative problem-solving skills.
