  • This study aims to analyze the correlation of creative personality, environment, process, and product as related to scientific creativity for different levels of elementary school students. We evaluated 105 fifth graders' responses to two tests: i) the scientific creativity test for creative process and product and ii) the self-report test for creative personality and environment. In the self-report test, creative personality comprises cognitive and affective personality, and creative environment constitutes home and school environments. To attain a deeper understanding of phenomena that cannot be explained by a quantitative analysis, interviews were conducted with four students who had the highest scores in creative product and four students who had the lowest scores in creative product while having higher-than-average scores in creative process. First, correlation of creative personality and environment were not significant. Second, in the interviews, students who had the highest scores in scientific creativity had common characteristics, namely, the ability to endure current difficulties to achieve future success and the propensity to listen to other people's ideas critically. Third, students who had the highest scores in creativity hailed from families that respected their opinions, whereas students with the lowest scores belonged to families that disregarded or neglected their opinions. Finally, this study specifies the criteria that should be considered for affective and environmental aspects of scientific creativity education.

  • This study explores factors that influence the development of creative ideas among apparel design students. This research is to understand how past experience (especially in art and design), influences the development of creative ideas in apparel design. The interaction between two related elements of student experience and work process is explored. A design process model based on Wallas's (1926) creative problem-solving process and Koberg and Bagnall's (1974) design process was used in the context of a beginning-level apparel design course comprised of Korean and Chinese students at a university in Seoul, South Korea. The results show that students with past experience in art and/or design performed differently than inexperienced students when faced with the same stimulation. Significant differences were also observed between experienced and inexperienced students in the development of creative ideas.

  • The theory of creative class has shown that the creative people are the key factor of success in regional economic growth. The creative people strengthen the economic competitiveness which is crucial to attract, cultivate and mobilize the resources of that region. In order to examine the theory of creative class for regional economic growth and firm productivity in Korea, this study uses the panel data of 492 Korean firms of the industrial complex producing electic and electronic manufactured goods. They are grouped into 10 industrial complexes among 16 metropolitan areas. Our findings demonstrate that creative class and 3Ts are related to the ratio of creative population density and the regional economic growth. Specifically the creative core class is of more significance to the regional economic growth than the creative professional class or the creative artist class. In our findings the panel analysis of random effects model shows that the talent index of 3Ts as well as the regional climates arc related to the individual firm's total factor productivity. This also reflects a conglomeration of the other regional climates statistically. On the other hand, the research and development expenditure of individual firms shows positive influence for each second consecutive year for the total factor productivity. Sales volume also contributes to the total factor productivity. In conclusion, we recommend that it is important to upgrade the level of creative climates by attracting the creative minds and R&D investment of the enterprises for regional economic growth and firm's total factor productivity.

  • COVID-19 pandemic has brought the world into economic recession. This study aims to present an analysis of the readiness of creative e-commerce in Indonesia. Data was collected from various locations that may represent the Creative Industry in Indonesia. The quantitative method has been applied as a research approach by gathering questionnaires from 383 business owners selected using the cluster random sampling method. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it is concluded that E-Commerce Readiness is very important in times of uncertainty such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The level of readiness will determine the continuity and sustainability of a company or business in a volatile business environment. E-Commerce Readiness can be evaluated based on Technology Readiness, Organizational Readiness, and Environmental Readiness. Not all perspectives are taken into consideration in making decisions about the implementation or improvement of E-Commerce in the pandemic period. Technology Readiness is seen as the most significant impact on a company's ability to cope with volatility, while Environmental Constraints encourage businesses to adopt E-Commerce and take it to the next level. On the other hand, Organizational Readiness has no effect on the E-Commerce readiness of the company because the company or organization does not consider this aspect.

As subjects of the study, two classes of first grade in high school were selected. One of them was treated with problem posing learning, the other was treated with learning-in-a-body. Each has 40 students and was also divided into two groups(high- level and low-level) according to their learning-level. Two instruments were used for this study. One was the teaching-learning method developed by the researcher. The other was TTCT(Torrance Test of Creative Thinking). The 't-test' was used for this study and the significant level of test was within 5 percent. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The group with problem posing learning showed significantly higher academic achievement(learning-ability) than the one with learning-in-a-body. 2. There was no significant difference in the academic achievement(creativity) between the two groups. But there was significant difference in the creative factors. 3. There was no significant differences in the academic achievement between high-level-groups in each group. 4. There was significant difference in the academic achievement (learning-ability) between low-level groups in each group. And there was significant difference in the creative factors. On the basis of the results above, the following conclusions could be made. The problem posing learning method was more effective in the academic achievement in highschool mathematics than learning-in-a-body. Especially low-level group was more effective than high-level group. These facts implies that it is more effective for a teacher to adopt the problem posing learning considering the students' learning-levels.

As a result of the analysis, 6th graders were influenced by their possession of smartphone and the degree of one's smartphone addiction on their creative personality. However, the usage period of smartphone did not turn out to affect their creative personality. In addition, none of the factors above, related to students' smartphone usage, influenced the creative personality of 4th graders. Particularly, there was a negative correlation between the level of students' smartphone addiction and the creative personality and it was found that whether the students own a smartphone or not played a crucial role in creative personality rather than the usage period of smartphone. Therefore, students should be properly educated how to use smartphone appropriately and to prevent them from smartphone addiction in order to improve creative personality which is one of the core competences in 21st century.
