  • Productivity is also a very important indicator in the construction industry as it can measure economic growth and the efficiency of each related production activity, either at the industrial level or at the corporate level. Technical factors indeed have a great impact on productivity, but in order to improve productivity in the actual construction industry, various productivity factors must be analyzed first, and the efforts to improve productivity at the project level are more important than the efforts to improve productivity at the construction industry level, which are addressed from a macro perspective. This study was designed to provide basic data for efficient productivity management activities of the project by selecting priority management factors through the causal analysis of the factors and the elicitation of the productivity degradation factors at the construction site to improve the quality of the construction industry.

  • This study has been carried out to provide data for the workforce by analyzing personnel status of medical device manufacturers, level of difficulty in securing human resource, reason for difficulty in securing human resource, resignation rate, and recruitment methods. Results, medical device manufacturers are required overseas sales personnel responsible for international certification and exported, regardless of the production item. And the company is located in the metropolitan area did not facilitate a secure workforce. Medical device manufacturers have difficulties in securing personnel, regardless of the employees and sales. In particular, Class 3 production company was more difficult. The reason that it is difficult to secure the human resources is attributable to the poor working conditions of the private companies and there is a few possible employees equipped with the job competency demanded by corporate entities. With respect to the analysis on the retirement rate, the larger the company scale and the more the employee number, more difficulty is experienced in the human resource management. Therefore, for any medical device manufacturers with large organization scale, it would be critical to introduce appropriate human resource management program.

  • In this paper, we analyze the comparative advantage of industry innovation (R & D) activities. The method is that companies are classified suppliers dominated- industry, productionintensive industries and science-based industries, and data of Statistical analysis were collected HCCP (KRIVET). The result is that Tipping phenomena of science-based is apparent and suppliers dominated- industry is the lack of comparative advantage. The implications are as follows. suppliers dominated- industries that specialize in R & D capabilities, support R & D capability is required. Second, the policy in terms of support for R & BD (linking technology commercialization support innovation) should be strengthened. Third, SMEs in the leveling down of industry R & D capabilities should be supplemented.

  • This paper tests a correlation between degrees of operating leverage(DOL) and financial leverage(DFL). For an empirical analysis, this paper extracted information from financial statements of manufacturing companies listed in the Korea Stock Exchange. Data extend from 1990 to 2009. The DOL continued to increase until 1997, but decreased dramatically after the IMF financial crisis. However, the DOL has been at a higher level than companies of other countries such as USA and Japan. The DFL has been maintained at a much higher level, as expected. The empirical results indicate a positive correlation between the DOL and the DFL. To further investigate, we divide the whole sample into subgroups according to such management elements as asset size, IMF crisis. The results for sub-samples are different from those of whole sample. This indicates we need to incorporate specific managerial factors in order to correctly explain financial decision processes.

  • NDF (No Defect Found) is a phenomenon in which defects have been found in the manufacturing, operation and use of a product or facility, but phenomenon of defects is not reproduced in the subsequent investigation system or the cause of the defects cannot be identified. Recently, with the development of the fourth industrial revolution, convergence of hardware and software technologies in various fields is spreading to products such as aircraft, home appliances, and mobile devices, and the number of parts is increasing due to functional convergence. The application of such convergence technologies and the increase in the number of parts are major factors that lead to an increase in NDF phenomena. NDF phenomena have a significant negative impact on cost, reliability, and reliability for both manufacturers, service providers and operators. On the other hand, due to the nature of NDF phenomena such as difficult and intermittent cause identification and ambiguity in judgment, it is common to underestimate the cost of NDF or fail to take appropriate countermeasures in corporate management. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a methodology for estimating NDF costs by the PAF model which is a quality cost analysis model and ABC (Activity Based Costing) technique. The methodology of this study suggests a detailed procedure and the concept to accurately estimate the NDF costs, using ABC analysis, accounting system information, and IT system data. In addition case studies have validated the methodology. We think this could be a valid methodology to refer to when estimating the cost of other parts. And, it is meaningful to provide important judgment information in the decision-making process based on quality management and ultimately reduce NDF costs by visualizing them separately by major variable factors.

  • The macroeconomic concept represents the movement of a country's economy, and it affects the overall economic activities of business, government, and households. In the macroeconomy, by looking at changes in national income, inflation, unemployment, currency, interest rates, and raw materials, it is possible to understand the effects of economic actors' actions and interactions on the prices of products and services. The US Federal Reserve System (FED) is leading the world economy by offering various stimulus measures to overcome the corona economic recession. Although the stock price continued to decline on March 20, 2020 due to the current economic recession caused by the corona, the US S&P 500 index began rebounding after March 23 and to 3,694.62 as of December 15 due to quantitative easing, a powerful stimulus for the FED. Therefore, the FED's economic stimulus measures based on macroeconomic indicators are more influencing, rather than judging the stock price forecast from the corporate financial statements. Therefore, this study was conducted to reduce losses in stock investment and establish sound investment by analyzing the FED's economic stimulus measures and its effect on stock prices.

  • In a fiercely competitive market, brands have become an important foundation for people to choose their products, and brands are also symbols of people's status and strength. Therefore, the importance of brand image design is growing. And color is an expression of emotion and can improve the communication and marketing environment of brand image as an important element of brand image. In this study, Interbrand selected Korea-China TOP 50 brand as a survey target in 2019 and downloaded brand CI from each brand's homepage to data images through Adobe Photoshop program and HSB system, and analyzed the color of the brand. There is no big difference in analyzing the color characteristics of Korean and Chinese brands, and the I.R.I color image scale analysis shows that the overall design of Korean brands is vibrant, elegant and warm to consumers. On the other hand, the overall design of the Chinese brand offers consumers a solemn, modern and sophisticated emotional adjective. Based on the results, this study can provide practical implications for companies to select colors and forms when launching their own brands and developing products.

  • This study examined the dynamic role that automation has had upon employment, productivity, and profitability. For the analysis, 342 companies of the Workplace Panel Survey of the Korea Labor Institute conducted from 2005 to 2015 was used. For analytical models, the fixed effect model, which is capable of controlling the endogeneity problems of variables, was used. According to the analysis results, the increased ratio of automation in Korean companies (1) resulted in the increase of turnover in the short and long terms, a temporary decrease in employment, and (2) a decrease of productivity in the short and medium terms, and thereby (3) failing to change profitability in a positive manner.
