간호대학생의 핵심역량 구조모형 (A Structural Equation Model on Core Competencies of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to propose and test a predictive model that could explain and predict the core competencies of nursing students. Methods: A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted with 361 nursing students. The data was analyzed using SPSS Windows 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. Results: The elements that directly influence the core competencies of nursing students were satisfaction with their academic discipline (nursing) and critical thinking disposition in which the disposition toward critical thinking directly influenced their satisfaction with nursing as an academic discipline and clinical practice. Conversely, satisfaction with clinical practice indirectly influenced core competencies through critical thinking disposition. Conclusion: This result provides the basic data for a competence-based curriculum intent on strengthening the core competencies (communication, problem-solving, and self-directed learning) by improving satisfaction with both clinical practice with their major and disposition toward critical thinking on the part of nursing students.

Education satisfaction and self-assessment of competency among new general dentists in Korea

  • Dental education is gradually transitioning to competency-based education system, which aims to help dentists achieve certain core competencies by means of various systems, such as curriculum accreditation. This study examined satisfaction with dental school education and the differences in the perceived importance and self-assessment of competencies among general dentists, in an attempt to propose a desirable direction for dental education. A questionnaire was administered to new general dentists who graduated from a dental school within the past 10 years. The results of the survey were analyzed using the Importance-Performance Analysis to understand differences in dentists' perceptions. Overall satisfaction with education was low in terms of the curriculum's relevance to actual practice and its capacity for cultivating required competencies. Furthermore, many of the respondents strongly perceived the need to improve dental education. Additional investigations into the satisfaction with education showed no difference. Among the seven key competency domains, dentists perceived Health Promotion to be important and also assessed themselves as having high competence. However, regarding the perceived importance of the remaining domains, self-assessment of competence was low for Professionalism, Communication & Interpersonal Skills, Knowledge Base, Information Handling & Critical Thinking, Clinical Information Gathering, Diagnosis & Treatment Planning, and Establishment & Maintenance of Oral Health. The results of this study suggest that a competency-based education model should be developed and incorporated into dental education to set performance standards and to promote systematic self-assessment in order to foster the development of competence in dental students.

제 4차 산업혁명시대의 공과대 여학생 역량분석을 반영한 교수법 모델 (A Pedagogical Model Reflecting on Competency Analysis of of the Female Engineering Students in the Fourth Industrial Revolution)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an educational model based on the capacity analysis of college students. In order to measure the learning ability of female science and engineering students, we used various tools to derive core competencies. The competency element of human resources implementation, the element of learning achievement area in the undergraduate education actual condition survey, and the analysis of the learning achievement elements of the engineering certification program were analyzed and the development of teaching method was searched to find ways to increase the competence of female students. In addition, we developed a model that can apply the development of pedagogy in the curriculum to the liberal arts, majors, and comparative courses, and presented the internship in field experience area, the improvement of on the spot learning, and teaching method and guidance to enhance the female students' competence. Also, as a case study of the proposed teaching method, new curriculum of 'Understanding of Big Data' which is the basis of the fourth industrial revolution technology in the second semester of 2016 was developed and applied to the education model. The results of this study are very positive, and we can expect the effectiveness of the new education model to enhance the learning ability and capacity of female students.

  • Due to the development of information technology, IT industry has become the core factor of a country competence. So we recognized the importance of information network technology as a basis of IT industry. The infrastructure and service in domestic super-highway information networks show the rapid growth both in quantity and quality because of the government programs. However, foreign information network equipment companies have most of the domestic market-share and have controlled core part of the industry, thus national companies are having a difficulty in penetrating the industry market. In this paper, we will analyze domestic super-highway information network equipment industry and make its activating plan using competitive strategy model.

A Study on Major Curriculum Based on Individual's Capacities-Focused on Physical Therapy Department in U University

  • Purpose: Since core competence-based training is in demand, this study aimed to develop a suitable talent model and major competencies for the Department of Physical Therapy at U University and use it to propose appropriate educational subjects. Methods: This case study was conducted at U university in Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. To study curricula based on major competence, related documents were analyzed, expert opinions were obtained, and a consumer survey was conducted. Results: U University assigns major competencies for each department, develops subjects accordingly, maps them, and constructs a competency matrix. The four major competencies of physical therapy were defined as musculoskeletal system, nervous system, cardiorespiratory system and sports injury, and physical management abilities. In order to realize these major competencies, U University added subjects to its curriculum. Conclusion: The results of internal and external environmental analysis should be more actively considered to enable changes in subjects at the departmental level. In addition, the setting of major competencies should be subjected to more detailed, specific reviews to maintain the basic principles of major curricula.

후임구급대원을 위한 구급현장 프리셉터의 핵심역량에 대한 연구 (A study on preceptor's core competencies for junior 119 paramedics in prehospital field)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate basic data on preceptor's core competencies required for junior 119 paramedics to improve the quality of emergency care in the prehospital field. Methods: From February 23 to March 10, 2021, data were collected through structured mobile questionnaires from 163 paramedics working in Sejong, Daejeon, and Chung Nam fire stations. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 25.0. Results: The average score of core competencies for junior 119 paramedics accounted for the importance of core competency (3.92 points), level of competence (3.43 points), educational needs (3.65 points). Among them, the importance of a role model accounted for 4.02 points, the highest among the sub-areas. Additionally, there was a significant correlation (r=.686), which was the highest, between the importance and educational needs of core competency; therefore, higher the importance of core competency, higher are the educational needs. Conclusion: Preceptor's core competencies concern three domains: role model, socialization facilitation, and instructional design. It would be more effective for those with higher professionalism and professional self-development needs to be trained as a prehospital preceptor.

Fusion human resource education(STEAM), of "human resources to practice respect and compassion", "human resources equipped with communication skills", "human resources to pursue creativity and innovation" "human resources to understand the knowledge of the fusion to take advantage" in training I have presented to the area of core competence of the 4C 'Creativity"," Communication","Convergence', 'Caring'. In this study, the area of c ore competency for each element by elementary, middle, and high schools around the analysis of the target can be made by each school level to develop a practical program in the sense of basic research is to conduct. The findings are as follows: First, Area of Creativity, communication area, the contents fusion region, as well as care areas, to the detailed item capacity, the design of the class that contains the entire area should be performed. Second, Elementary and secondary school level analysis, design of the class containing the entire region up to capacity detail is required. High school was required study of school full of normal. Third, In general, for STEAM class environment and teaching model was developed by applying operations. Research and methods of teaching a wider variety of form was required. Later in this study is to develop programs and organize. and It intends to become the base to be able to interest and interest in science education by structured around the status of problems that can be found in the life of around themes STEAM.

  • This paper has explored the analyzing and defining the core competencies of IT consultants who carry out IT consulting projects which desperately are needed by companies to survive in business competitions. Many companies have used IT consultants for their IT projects to achieve their project objectives. The problem of this is the results of IT projects carried out by IT consultants from the recognized consulting firms are quite often criticized by many clients who pay high price for hiring IT consultants. The purpose of this paper is that to weight of capability evaluation model for IT consultants. To define the capability model, I conducted the surveys from the IT professionals by the interview and e-mails. The result of this, this paper defines what core skills IT consultants should have to perform well when they carry out the IT projects. There are 6 major skills and 17 sub skills IT consultants should have in succeeding IT projects. 6 major skills are job competence skill, communication skill, business attitude, vocational values, job performance skill, leadership skill and related 17 sub skill are defined. With the capability evaluation model, the managers who are in the charge of incubating and enhancing the capability of IT consultants in the large corporation and also small, medium companies will utilize their companies' strength to get the advantage on the business competition.

미래 가족학 전문가를 위한 다양성 교육: Hollinger의 모델에 근거한 상호작용적, 반영적 교수법에 관한 제언 (Diversity Education for Future Family Science Professionals: Interactive and Reflective Teaching Implications based on Hollinger's Model)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how an undergraduate family diversity course supported students to enhance undergraduate students' understanding of diversity issues and cultural competence that are necessary to work with diverse families and children as future family science professionals. We collected qualitative research data from 108 students who were enrolled in five sections of an undergraduate-level diversity course, Working with Diverse Families and Children , using nine open-ended questions. In the current study, we specifically focused on four questions in relevant to what undergraduate students learned and what they desired to learn more about diversity issues in families grounded in Hollinger's developmental model of ethical reflection. Using inductive and deductive iterative processes and triangulation, we conducted thematic analysis. Overall, our findings showed that undergraduate students understood the core concepts of diversity and cultural competence. However, they understood these issues at different stages of Hollinger's model of ethical reflection after taking the course. Most undergraduate students accomplished their cognitive and empathetic understanding of diversity and were primarily in Stages 1 and 2. We suggest interactive and reflective teaching strategies that may be effective for undergraduate students to challenge their own biases, practice ethical decision, and prepare for social actions as family science professionals.

공공도서관 사서의 공통역량 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Public Librarian's Core Competency Value)

  • 본 연구는 공공도서관 사서의 공통역량 수준을 진단하는 자가진단 도구를 개발하여 실제 공공도서관 사서들을 대상으로 적용해보고 실증적 연구방법을 통해 역량가치 평가요인을 분석함으로써, 공공도서관 현장에서 사서의 역량강화 제고를 위한 개선방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 기존의 도서관 사서의 역량가치 평가 지표를 공공도서관 관점에서 수정, 보완하여 직급이나 직무에 관계없이 누구나 기본적으로 갖추어야 할 기본적 자질인 공통역량을 중심으로 한 자가진단 도구가 제시되었다. 공공도서관 사서 역량에 대한 자기 진단 분석 결과, 공공도서관 사서들은 전문직 사서가 갖추어야할 공통역량의 습득 정도를 보통보다는 다소 높은 수준으로 인식하고 있다고 스스로 평가하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 사서의 전체 역량 중 '사서의 행동 및 태도' 영역의 평균이 가장 높았으며, '사서의 기량', '사서의 지식' 영역 순으로 나타났다. 다양한 직무 수행에 필요한 공공도서관 사서의 역량강화를 위해서 사서 재교육 체계 구축 및 강화가 필요하며 전문직으로서의 사서 직무에 대한 대외 홍보, 사서 전문역량 계발을 위한 체계적 제도와 전문성 계발을 위한 인사제도가 마련되어야 할 것을 제언하였다.
