냉각면 성상이 빙부착에 미치는 영향 (Effect on the Adhesion of Ice Slurry by the Characteristic of Cooling Surface)

  • In the process of ice-slurry making, ice adhesion on cooling wall or in narrow flow Path disturbs continuous ice formation. In this study, the effect on the ice adhesion to cooling surface by some freezing experiments was investigated, quantitatively. Three types of solutions were frozen in various coating vessels with stirring. In the experiment, the ice adhesion between cooling wall and Ice-slurry was evaluated by measuring stirring power. From the result, the stirring power of slurry mixture in PTFE-coating vessel was smaller than those in PE-coating, PFA-coating and bare SUS vessel. Especially, in EG H PG 1.S/ HD 1.5 mass$\%$ solution, the stirring power in the PE-coating vessel was smaller than that in the PFA-coating or SUS vessel.

초고층 공동주택의 세대별 냉난방부하 시뮬레이션 결과 및 에너지 실사용량과의 비교 분석 (A Comparative Analysis of Energy Simulation Results and Actual Energy Consumption on Super High-rise Apartments)

  • Apartment Housing has been increasing steadily, particularly our current super high-rise apartment houses that represent the culture has become a trend in Korea. These super high-rise apartment houses' curtain wall system increases heating and cooling loads, it is expected to vary by each unit's thermal properties. In this study, measured indoor environment and energy simulation results were compared to actual energy consumption. As a result, the various factors that affect heating and cooling loads, such as direction, plan type and glazing area, influence each unit's load characteristic. In particular, according to the electricity costs savings behavior, the occupant's thermal discomfort is expected to be large in summer. Therefore, to reduce heating and cooling load for each unit requires a reasonable plan.

고온 초전도 SMES용 전도냉각시스템 특성시험 (Test of the Conduction Cooling System for HTS SMES)

  • The characteristic of the superconducting magnetic energy storage(SMES) system is faster response, longer life time, more economical, and environment friendly than other uninterruptible power supply(UPS) using battery. So, the SMES system can be used to develop methods for improving power quality where a short interruption of power could lead to a long and costly shutdown. Recently, cryogen free SMES has developed using BSCCO(Bismuth Strontium Calcium Copper Oxide) wire. We fabricated and tested the conduction cooling system for the 600 kJ class HTS SMES. The experiment was accomplished for the simulation coils. The simulation coils were made of aluminium, it is equivalent to thermal mass of 600 kJ HTS SMES coil. The coil is cooled with two GM coolers through the copper conduction bar. In this paper, we report that the test results of cool-down and heat loads characteristics of the simulation coils. The developed conduction cooling system adapted to 600 kJ HTS SMES system and cope with the unexpected sudden heat impact, too.

CFD를 이용한 연료전지 차량 레이아웃 최적화 (Engine Room Layout Design Optimization of Fuel Cell Vehicle Using CFD Technique)

  • This paper deals with engine room layout design optimization of fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), which has been proposed as a potential alternative to fossil fuel depletion. Investing the great R&D efforts, the global vehicle manufacturers, especially Honda motor corporate, have shown not prototype vehicle but commercial vehicle using fuel cell in the market recently. In this paper, we analyze cooling performance and flow characteristic in the engine room of newly FCEV, in addition we suggest the optimization process for engine room layout design optimization. The two radiators in the vehicle for fuel cell stack and electronic components cooling have been analyzed and their performance are obtained in terms of cooling performance ratio (CPR). The value of CPR should always be less than one and based on criteria, we have achieved the optimum cooling performance of radiators for stack and electronic components. Aerodynamic performance is evaluated in terms of drag coefficient, improved through underbody modification using air devices.

  • 별도의 엔진 구동형 소형 패키지 해수냉각시스템을 개발하기 위하여 압축기 회전수와 냉각수 유량 및 온도, 냉수 유량을 파라미터로 장치의 운전 특성을 파악한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. (1) 압축기 회전수와 증발기의 냉수 및 응축기의 냉각수 유량이 증가할수록 장치의 냉동능력은 증가하였으며, 압축기 회전수 및 냉각수 온도가 증가할수록 구동엔진의 연료소비량도 증가하였다. (2) 압축기 회전수와 냉각수 및 냉수의 유량이 증가할수록 냉각시스템의 성능계수는 증가하였으며, 냉각수 온도 및 압축기 회전수가 감소함에 따라서는 감소하였다. (3) 별도 엔진 구동용 소형 해수냉각장치 개발 및 운전조건 변화에 따른 시스템의 특성과 운전조건변화의 상관 관계를 파악할 수 있었으며, 시스템의 상용화 설계를 위한 기초자료를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구는 친환경 추진제인 과산화수소($H_2O_2$)와 케로신을 추진제로 하는 액체 로켓 엔진에서의 막냉 각 장치 개발을 목적으로 이를 위하여 막냉각링을 설계/제작하고, 수류 시험을 통해 분무 특성과 공급 유량을 확인하였다. 또한 설계/제작된 막냉각링의 성능 예측을 위하여 열해석을 수행하였다. 수류 실험 결과 설계 유량(42.25g/s)이 공급됨을 확인하였고, 상대적으로 유속이 빠르고 홀 개수가 많은 막냉각링이 더 좋은 분무패턴을 보임을 확인하였다. 또한 열해석 결과 설계된 막냉각링이 충분한 냉각 성능을 가짐을 확인하였다.

  • This paper presents a cooling system using thermoelectron for improving the output of BIPV module. The temperature characteristic in regard to improving the output of BIPV system has rarely teen studied up to now but some researchers only presented the method using a ventilator. The cooling system efficiency of BIPV module applied to a ventilator mainly depends on the weather such as wind, insolation etc. Because the cooling system of BIPV module using a ventilator is so sensitive, that is being set off by wind speed at all time but is unable to operate in the NOCT(Nominal Operating Cell Temperature) which is able to make the maximum output. The paper presents the cooling system using thermoelectron so as to solve such problems. The temperature control of thermoelectron can be controlled independently in the outside environment because that is performed by micro-controller. The temperature control of thermoelectron, also, can be operated around NOCT through algorithm of the temperature control. Therefore, outputs of the whole system increase and the efficiency rises. The paper demonstrates the validity of proposed method by comparing the data obtained through a experiment of the cooling method of BIPV using a ventilator and proposed thermoelectron.

  • The normal cooling system of a refrigerator is applied to indirect a cooling methods. But the Kimchi refrigerator is applied to direct the cooling method. Recently when the model was applied to both direct and indirect the cooling methods, the improvement was considerable. With the development of the living standards in Korea, there has been more sensitive dissatisfaction about the taste and the smell of Kimchi. In order to solve these kinds, there is a need to systematic and scientific approach. Based on these, the purpose of this study is to optimize design for improve the storage period of Kimchi refrigerator. In this research, we concentrate on the temperature change and heat transfer characteristics of interior parts of the Kimchi refrigerator due to control cycle of temperature and flow phenomenon of cooling air.

Preparation of PVDF Membrane by Thermally-Induced Phase Separation

  • PVDF membrane formation via TIPS was performed for PVDF/DBP and PVDF/DMP systems. PVDF/DBP system showed solid-liquid phase separation behavior, while PVDF/DMP system has liquid-liquid phase separation characteristic as well as solid-liquid phase separation characteristic. PVDF contents and cooling conditions had great influence on structure, and the effects of each parameter were examined. Spherulitic structure was obtained due to the dominant PVDF crystallization. Diluent rejected to the outside of spherulite occupied the surface of the PVDF spherulites to result in the microporous spherulite formation and micro-void between spherulites. PVDF/DMP system had competitive solid-liquid and liquid-liquid phase separation depending on the cooling path.

  • In this paper, we analyze customers' working electric energy (kWh) which is served pole-transformer in order to reduce peak load current error which is generated in application load correlation equation. The characteristic of electric load which customers are using is classified by customer's working electric energy (kWh) and ratio of cooling equipment possession. For the input data of fuzzy model, we used to kWh on April which represents basic load and kWh which is increased from April to August. The April kWh is used to classify into large, medium, small customer. Also, the increased kWh is used to know information of cooling equipment possession. For the output value of fuzzy model, we can determined peak load current limit in application load correlation equation.
