Parallel Operation of Two Converters using Zero Current Transformer Method (영산변류기 동작 방식을 이용한 2개의 컨버터 병렬 운전)

  • In the conventional method, two CTs have been used to share the load current equally with two converters. A new simle method to find out the current difference between two converters using only one CT as a ZCT is suggested. Two experimental prototype converters were designed and implemented for the evaluation of the load current sharing. The results of experiment show that the newly proposed ZCT method using only one CT could make a good load current sharing than the conventional method required two CT when operating two converters in parallel.

  • This paper deals with the parallel operation of several numbers of PWM converters for a high speed railway train application. Several considerations are made to reduce the transformer interaction which can cause a current control problem in severe case. Also, in this paper, novel control strategy is proposed to achieve a harmonic free primary-side current control under a light load condition using one current sensor independent of the number of converters. In addition, the modified predictive current controller, which is suitable to a digital current controller with a relatively large sampling period, is used. Finally, to verify the system validity, digital control system with TMS320C44 micro-processor and small scale simulator are made and tested.

Isolated Topologies of Switched-Resonator Converters

  • Switched-resonator converters are a new family of soft switching DC-DC converters where the energy is transferred via a resonator. This paper introduces some isolated topologies of this family. The achieved advantages include, load independent soft-switching, self short-circuit protection, and optimization capability due to topology variety. Compared to conventional series-resonant converters, outstanding advantages such as a smaller fewer number of switches and diodes, a smaller transformer, and lower current stresses are achieved. A general synthesis scheme, functional topologies, and essential relations are included. Experimental results from a laboratory prototype confirm the presented theoretical analysis.

  • 본 논문에서는 슬림화 및 고밀도 전원을 위한 고효율 2-변압기 LLC 공진형 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안된 컨버터는 기존 단일 변압기 LLC 공진형 컨버터에 비해 슬림화에 유리하고 누설 인덕터 확보가 용이할 뿐만 아니라 트랜스포머 1, 2차 권선의 근접효과를 최소화 할 수 있어 도통손실 저감의 장점을 갖는다. 최종적으로 제안된 컨버터의 타당성 검증을 위해 이론적 동작분석을 비롯하여 240W급 모의실험 결과를 제시한다.

  • This paper proposes the boost input type resonant power supply for driving the magnetron device of the high-capacity microwave oven. Circuit topology of the proposed power supply is the boost input type resonant converter which uses the resonance between transformer leakage inductance and resonance capacitance. Proposed power supply obtains high power factor more than 98% through continuous current mode pulse width modulation. To verify the validity of the proposed power supply, operation principle in the steady state is analyzed and experimental results are presented.

  • This paper introduces the drive system for 500MVA short-circuit generator. Drive system is usually low-voltage, but this system is 2300V high-voltage using Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor(IGBT). Drive system consists of switchgear, 18-pulse transformer, converter(source bridge), inverter(load bridge) and control rack. In this paper, It describes the function and construction of each part.

  • The conventional types of X-ray generators were bulky in physical size and heavy in weight, and the control accuracies of the output voltages were not always satisfactory. The high frequency switching inverter and converter technology on power conversion and control systems have been greatly closed up introducing power semiconductor devices. To decreasing the volume and the weight of high voltage transformer, and to stabilize ripple. In this paper, the newly developed x-ray generator in a low cost using duty modulation PWM inverter. This system verify improved performance by stabilize ripple of X-ray tube voltage and compared the reproducibility, linearity and dose in single phase, three phase and PSU.

  • 최근 용접분야에서는 용접성능을 향상시키기 위하여 인버터회로를 용접기에 적용한 인버터 용접기에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다,. 그러나 범용의 인버터 용접기의 경우 다이오드 정류기를 사용함에 저차의 전류고조파가 발생하고 시스템 역율을 저하시킨다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 인버터 아크 용접기의 역율개선을 위한 PWM 컨버터에 관하여 연구하여 입력전류의 저차 고조파를 저감하였고 전원전압과 동상으로 전원전류를 제어함에 의한 단위 역율형 인버터 용접기의 특성을 해석하였다. 또한 본 논문에서는 에너지 절약, 용접 특성, 역율, 사용율, 크기 및 부피 등의 관점에서 인버터 아크용접기의 응용연구 및 실험적 분석을 수행하였고 용접기 시스템에서 발생하는 전기적 노이즈를 억제하고 전력용 반도체 소자를 보호할 목적으로 새로운 노이즈 차폐변압기를 채택하였다. 이상의 전체시스템은 싱글칩 마이크로 프로세서를 이용한 디지털 제어기로 구현함으로서 제어기의 유연성과 기능의 다양화를 추구하였다.

  • Tilting train has been developed to increase the operational speed of the trains on conventional lines which have many curves. This train are tilted at curves to compensate for unbalanced carbody centrifugal acceleration to a greater extent than compensation produced by the track cant, so that passengers do not feel centrifugal acceleration and thus trains can run at higher speed at curves. This paper show that results of normal capacity calculations of the electrical equipments such as Main transformer, PWM converter, VVVF inverter, traction motor in TTX(tilting train express) with maximum operation speed 180 km/h.

  • Recently, power conversion equipment increased rapidly makes a lot of harmonics. Thus, it is growing that wrong operation and break down of sensitive devices. There are two kinds of causes of harmonics. One of them is lots of power conversion equipment as modem controller, inverter, converter and SWS(Switching Mode Power Supply). Another is nonlinear operating machines as transformer and motor. The more nonlinear loads like them grow, the more serious problems as harmonic current to source and low power factor because of increasing reactive power grow. It is installed for reactor and L-C Filter to decrease harmonic in general. This paper analysis and compares two of characteristics and harmonic from reactor and L-C Filter with operation of induction motor and power conversion equipment. In the result, L-C Filter more improves unbalance rate and THD than reactor.
