A Study on Performance Analysis for Error Probability in SWSK Systems

  • This paper presents a new method for shift keying using the combination of scaling function and wavelet named scaling wavelet shift keying (SWSK). An algorithm for SWSK modulation is carried out where the scaling function and the wavelet are encoded to 1 and 0 in accordance with the binary input, respectively. Signal energy, correlation coefficient and error probability of SWSK are derived from error probability of frequency shift keying(FSK). The performance is analyzed in terms of error probability and it is simulated in accordance with the kind of the wavelet. Based on the results, we can conclude that the proposed scheme is superior to the performance of the conventional schemes.

영역 분할에 의한 SIMPLER 모델의 병렬화와 성능 분석 (Implementation and Performance Analysis of a Parallel SIMPLER Model Based on Domain Decomposition)

  • Parallel implementation is conducted for a SIMPLER finite volume model. The present parallelism is based on domain decomposition and explicit message passing using MPI and SHMEM. Two parallel solvers to tridiagonal matrix equation are employed. The implementation is verified on the Cray T3E system for a benchmark problem of natural convection in a sidewall-heated cavity. The test results illustrate good scalability of the present parallel models. Performance issues are elaborated in view of convergence as well as conventional parallel overheads and single processor performance. The effectiveness of a localized matrix solution algorithm is demonstrated.

  • Noise problem that occurs on the road is raising a lot of problems in the economic, social and environmental aspects. The objective of this paper is to propose ANC(active noise cancellation)-based road traffic noise reduction algorithm-model which can reduce noise by generating frequency opposed to noise sources to improve and complement the problem that existing physical form of a noise barrier. In this paper, we measured the noise characteristic from collection of two difference car noise also ANC simulation has been performed by using road traffic noises input. In order to compare the control performance, we performed noise reduction simulation of ANC by filtered-X LMS algorithm and delayed control signal injection. As a result of this simulation, we confirmed that convergence performance and noise decrease effect to the filtered-X LMS algorithm by inputting the road traffic noise.

GPU 기반 행렬 곱셈 병렬처리 알고리즘 (Parallel Algorithm for Matrix-Matrix Multiplication on the GPU)

  • Matrix multiplication is a fundamental mathematical operation that has numerous applications across most scientific fields. In this paper, we presents a parallel GPU computation algorithm for dense matrix-matrix multiplication using OpenGL compute shader, which can play a very important role as a fundamental building block for many high-performance computing applications. Experimental results on NVIDIA Quad 4000 show that the proposed algorithm runs about 208 times faster than previous CPU algorithm and achieves performance of 75 GFLOPS in single precision for dense matrices with matrix size 4,096. Such performance proves that our algorithm is practical for real applications.

Distributed CoAP Handover Using Distributed Mobility Agents in Internet-of-Things Networks

  • The constrained application protocol (CoAP) can be used for remotely controlling various sensor devices in Internet of Things (IoT) networks. In CoAP, to support the handover of a mobile sensor device, service discovery and message transmission needs to be repeated, although doing so would increase the handover delay significantly. To address this limitation of CoAP, a centralized CoAP scheme has been proposed. However, it tends to result in performance degradation for an inter-domain handover case. In this letter, we propose a distributed CoAP handover scheme to support the inter-domain handover. In the proposed scheme, a distributed mobility agent (DMA) is used for managing the location of mobile sensors in a domain and performing handover control operations with its neighboring DMAs in a distributed manner. A performance comparison reveals that the proposed scheme offers a performance improvement of up to 29.5% in terms of the handover delay.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new robust control scheme to implement stable control of robot manipulators including nonlinear perameters The proposed robust controller is composed of a nonlinear controller and linear compemsation controller. It shows a good robust performance in reaching mode which does not possess invariance property. Thus, the proposed nonlinear controller showed a good robust performance in the whole region, It was illustrated that the proposed control showed a good transient response and trajectory tracking performance for robot manipulator with four joint by experiments.

  • This study proposes the development and performance evaluation of electronic proportional control valve having an LVDT. The electronic proportional control valve is composed of hydraulic valve, proportional solenoid and controller. LVDT is to reduce the steady state error for the reference input of the controller by the feedback signal to detect the displacement of the spool. Designed LVDT is applied to the common proportional valve. In order to evaluate the performance of the developed valve, the hydraulic test equipment was developed and flow tests were carried out. From experimental results, it was proved that the hysteresis was less than 1% based on the maximum flow rate.

  • 실제 이미지에서 에지의 속성을 찾아내고 그 정확한 위치를 지정하기 위하여 밝기 분포에 대한 국소적 미분 대신에 "적응성 방향 미분"(Adaptive Directional Derivative, ADD)이라는 비국소적 연산자를 도입함으로써 에지의 램프 폭의 변화에 무관하게 적용할 수 있는 알고리듬을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 이미 제안한 적응성 방향 미분을 이용한 에지 검출 시스템을 현재 에지 검출을 위해 보편적으로 사용되고 있는 Canny 알고리듬과의 성능평가를 실험을 통해 보여준다.

Dual Diversity over Correlated Ricean Fading Channels

  • The performance of dual diversity receivers operating over correlated Ricean fading channels is analyzed. Using a previously derived rapidly converging infinite series representation for the bivariate Ricean probability density function, analytical expressions for the statistics of dual-branch selection combining, maximal-ratio combining, and equal-gain combining output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are derived. These expressions are employed to obtain novel analytical formulae for the average output SNR, amount of fading, average bit error probability, and outage probability. The proposed mathematical analysis is used to study various novel performance evaluation results with parameters of interest the fading severity, average input SNRs, and the correlation coefficient. The series convergence rate is also examined verifying the fast convergence of the analytical expressions. The accuracy of most of the theoretical performance evaluation results are validated by means of computer simulations.

  • 본 논문에서는 주파수영역에서 동일한 주파수 간격을 갖는 직교반송파에 의하여 만들어지며 DS-CDMA에 주파수 다이버시티 효과를 줄 수 있는 CI 칩 파형 형성 방식에 대하여 검토한다. CI 칩 파형을 이용한 새로운 통신 방식 CI/DS-CDMA을 소개하고 대표적인 주파수 선택성 페이딩 채널환경에서 성능을 분석을 통하여 이 시스템의 주파수 다이버시티 효과가 시간영역에서 경로 다이버시티를 이용하는 RAKE 수신기를 갖는 통상적인 DS-CDMA에 비하여 성능개선 효과를 가져올 수 있음을 보인다.
