Design and Fabrication of Super Water-Saving Toilet System by Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) (창의적 문제해결 이론(TRIZ)를 활용한 초절수형 양변기 시스템의 설계 및 제작)

  • This paper describes the design and fabrication process of super water-saving toilet bowl system by the theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ). The physical contradiction in TRIZ is defined to obtain the conceptual design for saving water in toilet bowl system with preventing the bad smell from septic tank. The super water-saving toilet bowl system is obtained by using the separation principle in time for resolving the physical contradiction. The consumption of water in the prototype system fabricated, is estimated about $3{\ell}$ comparing with $13{\ell}$ of that in conventional toilet bowl system. The noise from water in the prototype toilet bowl system is decreased by 1/3 of that in conventional toilet bowl system.

  • In master-slave teleoperation system, time delay may be a critical problem because a task is performed over a distance. Even if the system is stable without time delay, time delay can make the system unstable. In this paper a new control scheme applicable to the system with time delay would be proposed,which is based on the conventional position-position feedback type controller. The stability of this control system is proved using scattering theory, and is compared with the conventional ones. By performing the simulation of a one-d.o.f master-slave system, the validity of the proposed algorithm is verified.

  • This paper designed and developed the image processing system of integrating feature extraction and matching by using convolutional neural network (CNN), rather than relying on the simple method of processing feature extraction and matching separately in the image processing of conventional image recognition system. To implement it, the proposed system enables CNN to operate and analyze the performance of conventional image processing system. This system extracts the features of an image using CNN and then learns them by the neural network. The proposed system showed 84% accuracy of recognition. The proposed system is a model of recognizing learned images by deep learning. Therefore, it can run in batch and work easily under any platform (including embedded platform) that can read all kinds of files anytime. Also, it does not require the implementing of feature extraction algorithm and matching algorithm therefore it can save time and it is efficient. As a result, it can be widely used as an image recognition program.

  • The object of this research is to develop the autobalancing system based-on microprocessor for hemodiafiltration(HDF). The results obtained from the proposed system are as follows: (1) Conventional HD system is not proper for removal medium molecular articles but HDF is proper when this autobalaning system is interfaced. (2) we can get mere exact information than conventional HD system using electronic balancemeter.

  • In this paper, the wavelet denoising techniques using thresholding method are applied to the low cost micro electromechanical system (MEMS)-global positioning system(GPS) integrated system. This was done to improve the navigation performance. The low cost MEMS signals can be distorted with conventional pre-filtering method such as low-pass filtering method. However, wavelet denoising techniques using thresholding method do not distort the rapidly-changing signals. They can reduce the signal noise. This paper verified the improvement of the navigation performance compared to the conventional pre-filtering by simulation and experiment.

  • In this paper, Modified system of the asynchronous repeat FH/MFSK transmission system is proposed. By transmitting data bits less that address bits, we can improue the system performance, we have evaluated the probability of word error of modified system and compared with the conventional system. And it is found that the modified system shows the improved performance. Also the structure of the receiver is remarkably simplified with the comparison of the conventional system.

  • For the improvement of welding performance, high-efficiency inverter system was designed and applied that system to the conventional large scale Flashbutt welder. The inverter systems are consists of full bridge PWM power control system and DSP controller. This inverter system has increased switching frequency of power control system of Flashbutt welder. For the test of application effects, we compared an our inverter control system with a conventional thyristor control system. In the results, we confirmed that our system has decreased the welding spatter amouts and improved welding performance.

  • This paper proposes a novel tracking algorithm considering radiation to improve the power of a photovoltaic (PV) tracking system. The sensor method used in a conventional PV plant is unable to track the sun's exact position when the intensity of solar radiation is low. It also has the problem of malfunctions in the tracking system due to rapid changes in the climate. The program method generates power loss due to unnecessary operation of the tracking system because it is not adapted to various weather conditions. This tracking system does not increase the power above that of a power of tracking system fixed at a specific position due to these problems. To reduce the power loss, this paper proposes a novel control algorithm for a tracking system and proves the validity of the proposed control algorithm through a comparison with the conventional PV tracking method.

  • This paper proposes a robust active noise control (ANC) system. The system constructs filter with a standard model. An adaptive litter, connected to the system in parallel, compensates the modeling error. When the adaptive filter does not work, the proposed system is robust while the conventional system loses the noise control capability. But proposed ANC system shows that the performance is comparable with that of the conventional ANC system under normal conditions.

  • In order to inspect the quality of spot welding, inefficient destructive test and NDT (non destructive testing) utilizing expensive foreign ultrasonic inspection are being conducted in the automobile production lines, but NDT will be difficult to be used in the domestic automobile production due to complexity of the waveform analysis and lack of mobility. In this paper, NDT system inspecting the quality of spot welding based on mobile network is proposed to complement drawbacks of the conventional inefficient destructive testing and NDT inspecting the quality of spot welding. Regardless of daily condition of NDT tester, the proposed NDT system can determine the quality of spot welding automatically and transmit the information of NDT quality to smart devices of field workers in real-time so that convenience of NDT and productivity of automobile production will be improved. Several specimens with a variety of welding quality was produced to evaluate the performance of the proposed mobile ultrasonic NDT system and the conventional foreign equipment, through this experiments, the proposed mobile ultrasonic NDT system indicate the superior properties compared to the conventional equipment in terms of convenience, productivity, and economic.
