  • Measures of exploration and exploitation fall into three categories, patent-based measures, survey-based measures, and press-based measures. Such variety stems from the lack of consensus on definitions of exploration and exploitation. Given a dynamic nature of exploration and exploitation, I suggested how to improve existing press-based measures by suggesting strategies and procedures for constructing valid and reliable press-based measures in a single industry context. I illustrate my arguments through a study of the worldwide optical disk industry.

  • YouTube is an OTT service that leads the home economy, which has emerged from the 2020 Corona Pandemic. With the growth of OTT-based individual media, creators are required to establish attractive storytelling strategies that can be preferred by viewers and elected for YouTube recommendation algorithms. In this study, we conducted a study on modeling that proposes a content storyline for creators. As the ability for Creators to create content that viewers prefer, we have presented the data literacy ability to find patterns in complex and massive data. We also studied the importance of compelling storytelling configurations that viewers prefer and can be selected for YouTube recommendation algorithms. This study is of great significance in that it deviated from the viewer-oriented recommendation system method and proposed a story suggestion model for individual creaters. As a result of incorporating this story proposal model into the production of the YouTube channel Tiger Love video, it showed a certain effectiveness. This story suggestion model is a machine learning text-based story suggestion system, excluding the application of photography or video.

  • Purpose The impact of online reviews is widely acknowledged, with extensive research focused on text-based reviews. However, there's a lack of research regarding reviews in video format. To address this gap, this study aims to explore the connection between company-sponsored product review videos and the extent of directive speech within them. This article analyzed viewer sentiments expressed in video comments based on the level of directive speech used by the presenter. Design/methodology/approach This study involved analyzing speech acts in review videos based on sponsorship and examining consumer reactions through sentiment analysis of comments. We used Speech Act theory to perform the analysis. Findings YouTubers who receive company sponsorship for review videos tend to employ more directive speech. Furthermore, this increased use of directive speech is associated with a higher occurrence of negative consumer comments. This study's outcomes are valuable for the realm of user-generated content and natural language processing, offering practical insights for YouTube marketing strategies.

  • This study investigated the proximate composition and $\small{L}$-carnitine and betaine content of meats from 5 lines of Korean indigenous chicken (KIC) for developing highly nutritious meat breeds with health benefits from the bioactive compounds such as $\small{L}$-carnitine and betaine in meat. In addition, the relevance of gender (male and female) and meat type (breast and thigh meat) was examined. A total of 595 F1 progeny (black [B], grey-brown [G], red-brown [R], white [W], and yellow-brown [Y]) from 70 full-sib families were used. The moisture, protein, fat, and ash contents of the meats were significantly affected by line, gender, and meat type (p<0.05). The males in line G and females in line B showed the highest protein and the lowest fat content of the meats. $\small{L}$-carnitine and betaine content showed effects of meat type, line, and gender (p<0.05). The highest $\small{L}$-carnitine content was found in breast and thigh meats from line Y in both genders. The breast meat from line G and the thigh meat from line R had the highest betaine content in males. The female breast and thigh meats showed the highest betaine content in line R. These data could be valuable for establishing selection strategies for developing highly nutritious chicken meat breeds in Korea.

  • The "New Korean Wave" (Shin Hallyu) phenomenon, which is represented by the global popularity of BTS and director Bong Joon-ho's film "Parasite," is making the world excited. The influence of the Korean Wave is not only on politics, society, and culture, but it also has considerable economic ripple effects. We applied individual in-depth interviews with seven media and marketing experts in China to assess the changes in the impact of Korean cultural content (i.e., Hallyu content) and examine the possibility of marketing for Korean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) products using Hallyu content. Considering its massive market potential, China is still an attractive target for Korean companies and is of even greater importance to SMEs, which are highly dependent on exports and lacking marketing budgets as well as a professional workforce. Korean businesses and the economy at large would get a real boost if they could penetrate the Chinese market by utilizing the strength of Hallyu content. Based on the results of the in-depth interviews, the conclusion of our study suggests the direction of advertising strategy on how Korean products can attract the minds of Chinese consumers by utilizing the Shin Hallyu. This research is a practical study that diagnoses the reality of the Korean Wave in China objectively and has excellent practical implications as it proposes methods of how SMEs should use Hallyu for their marketing strategies.

  • The Web is rich with various sources of information. It contains the contents of documents, multimedia data, shopping materials and so on. Due to the massive and heterogeneous web document collections, users want to find various types of target pages. We can classify user queries as three categories according to users'intent, content search, the site search, and the service search. In this paper, we present that different strategies are needed to meet the need of a user. Also we show the properties of content information, link information and URL information according to the class of a user query. In the content search, content information showed the good result. However, we lost the performance by combining link information and URL information. In the site search, we could increase the performance by combining link information and URL information.
