  • This paper proposes a framework of engineering education for product development processes based on product data management (PDM) software and 3D printing. The PDM software supports the product development process-oriented educational coursework, collaborative team projects and project-based learning environment. The 3D printing supports the prototyping step in the product development process and helps participants consider physical realization of their designs during the product design and development phases. The framework was implemented in an introductory course for engineering students to product design and development, and author found that it is important to support rich communication among participants including lecturers, teaching assistants and students to enhance the quality of education and to overcome the burden of learning various computer-aided tools and 3D printing techniques needed for the framework.

  • Shortest path problem belongs to the combinatorial optimization problem and plays an important role in the field of computer aided design. It can either be directly applied as in the case of routing or serves as a important subroutine in more complex problems. In this paper, a systolic array for the SSSP(single-source shortest path problem) was derived. The array was modeled and simulated in RTL level using VHDL, then synthesized to a schematic and finally implemented to a layout using the cell library based on 0.35 $\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS 1-poly 4-metal CMOS technology.

  • In this paper we derive an integral formula on an (n + 1)-dimensional, compact, minimal contact CR-submanifold M of (n - 1) contact CR-dimension immersed in a unit (2m+1)-sphere $S^{2m+1}$. Using this integral formula, we give a sufficient condition concerning with the scalar curvature of M in order that such a submanifold M is to be a generalized Clifford torus.

  • This paper describes about the development of the 3 Dimensional interactive physics experiment system using virtual reality technologies. Until now, most of the computer aided education systems have adopted one-sided learning way which only shows or tells. It excludes students during learning processes. To solve the problems of the one-sided learning way and to improve the educational productivity, the 3 Dimensional interactive physics experiment system is developed. The 3 Dimensional interactive physics experiment system introduced in this paper provides a new learning motivation for students and improves their educational effects through the 3 Dimensional graphics, realtime action, and realistic interactive experiment.

  • Along with development of the Internet, education is achieved on-line actively. Therefore, interest about computer aided learning is growing. By a lot of advantages such as expense and time-saving side, this type of learning is widening area gradually. In this paper we discuss some of the learning technology, such as e-learning, m-learning, and u-learning.

  • In this paper we have studied the efficiency of GSP which is widely used in the school. In order to study the efficiency of the computer aided education we divided the students into two groups in the Namwon Middle School : One group called "A" is the classes using GSP, the other called "B" is the classes not using GSP. In the three times examination group A got good marks better than group B. In the questionnaires about the interest in geometry group A is higher than group B. By the results of this study the effort on education with using various multi media can come into the utmost educational effect. Therefore it is necessary for the teachers at school to have self training continuously in order to carry a higher educational quality.

  • The geometry field in the current high school curriculum deals mainly with analytic geometry and the reference to logic geometry leaves much to be desired. This study investigated the construction on a heptagon by using conic sections as one of measures for achieving harmony between analytic geometry and logic geometry in the high school curriculum with the Geometer's Sketchpad(GSP), which is a specialized software prevalent in mathematics education field and is intended to draw an educational suggestion on it.

  • Vocal and instrument apprenticeship in applied music has been accepted without significant changes since the introduction of applied music education to South Korea. Few discussions or suggestions about other types of teaching than 'one-to-one lessons' or 'education of apprentices by assigned specialists' have been made. Since the introduction of applied music education to South Korea late in the 1980s, the CAI(Computer Aided Instruction) courseware development for applied music education has not actively been under way. The area of applied music has also made rapid progress in terms of music producing or music videos using computers. Actually, the improved computer program is not positively applied to applied music education. This study aimed to present learning methods using the improved functions of music production softwares to improve the traditional apprenticeship system in the area of vocal training in applied music. In particular, it used the technique of auto tune-pitch shift developed for interval correction in sound sources. By giving real-time feedbacks concerning intervals or monitors visually after recording, it intended to present a learning method to induce improvement in accuracy of intervals in vocal training. This study is expected to present a method that allows vocal trainers to overcome temporal and spatial limitations in applied music and make their vocal training more efficient.
