  • In this paper, We characterize a semi-invariant sub-manifold of codimension 3 satisfying ∇$\varepsilon$A = 0 in a complex projective space CP$\^$n+1/, where ∇$\varepsilon$A is the covariant derivative of the shape operator A in the direction of the distinguished normal with respect to the structure vector field $\varepsilon$.

  • This paper observes that the induced homomorphisms on cohomology groups by a cyclic map are trivial. For a CW-complex X, we use the fact to obtain some conditions of X so that the n-th Gottlieb group $G_n(X)$ is trivial for an even positive integer n. As corollaries, for any positive integer m, we obtain $G_{2m}(S^{2m})\;=\;0\;and\;G_2(CP^m)\;=\;0$ which are due to D. H. Gottlieb and G. Lang respectively, where $S^{2m}$ is the 2m- dimensional sphere and $CP^m$ is the complex projective m-space. Moreover, we show that $G_4(HP^m)\;=\;0\;and\;G_8(II)\;=\;0,\;where\;HP^m$ is the quaternionic projective m-space for any positive integer m and II is the Cayley projective space.

  • A complex n-dimensional Kaehlerian manifold of constant holomorphic sectional curvature c is called a comples space form, which is denoted by $M_n(c)$. A complete and simply connected complex space form consists of a complex projective space $P_nC$, a complex Euclidean space $C^n$ or a complex hyperbolic space $H_nC$, according as c > 0, c = 0 or c < 0. The induced almost contact metric structure of a real hypersurface M of $M_n(c)$ is denoted by $(\phi, \zeta, \eta, g)$.

  • An n-dimensional complex space form $M_n(c)$ is a Kaehlerian manifold of constant holomorphic sectional curvature c. As is well known, complete and simply connected complex space forms are a complex projective space $P_n C$, a complex Euclidean space $C_n$ or a complex hyperbolic space $H_n C$ according as c > 0, c = 0 or c < 0.

  • Let $M_n$(c) be an n-dimensional complete and simply connected Kahlerian manifold of constant holomorphic sectional curvature c, which is called a complex space form. Then according to c > 0, c = 0 or c < 0 it is a complex projective space $P_nC$, a complex Euclidean space $C^n$ or a complex hyperbolic space $H_nC$.

  • Niebergall and Ryan posed many open problems on real hypersurfaces in complex space forms. One of them is "Are there any Ricci-parallel real hypersurfaces in complex projective space $P_2C$ or complex hyperbolic space $H_2C$\ulcorner" The purpose of present paper is to prove the nonexistence of such hypersurfaces.

  • The purpose of this paper is to give sample characterizations of n-dimensional CR-submanifolds of (n-1) CR-semifolds of (n-1) CR-dimension immersed in a complex projective space $CP^{(n+p)/2}$ with Fubini-Study metric and we study an n-dimensional compact, orientable, minimal CR-submanifold of (n-1) CR-dimension in $CP^{(n+p)/2}$.

  • Let U, V and W be complex vector spaces of dimensions 3, 3 and 4 respectively. The reductive algebraic group G = PGL(U) $\times$ PGL(W) $\times$ PGL(W) acts linearly on the projective tensor product space (equation omitted). In this paper, we show that the G-equivalence classes of the projective tensors are in one-to-one correspondence with the PGL(3)-equivalence classes of unordered configurations of six points on the projective plane.
