This study focuses on educational services that DT has a positive impact on organizational competitiveness by providing opportunities for customers to engage in operational processes. This case study summarizes competitiveness using SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis. Results: The findings of the case study indicate that DT-enabled competitive factors contribute to an organization's competitive advantage. The study results present key resource as social cloud services, data combination, content sharing, and products/services. The online application that collects user data about education and shares class and evaluation information creates a new class operational process in the field of educational service for a value proposition of collection-merging-sharing with social cloud function. Conclusion: The results of this study can be used as a good guideline for educational service providers interested in applying DT for improved customer satisfaction and educational organizations' competitiveness. In addition, the study findings provide theoretical and practical implications on SWOT approaches to changing the educational service provision ways through digital transformation.

  • Manufacturing enterprises have been doing their best endeavors to obtain competitiveness using various methodologies, such as information technology. In order to achieve competitiveness, they are adopting manufacturing execution system (MES). MES is a total management system that manages from the beginning of the production by product order until the quality inspection of the finished product. And MES is an inter-mediator for supplementation of information gap between ERP and inspection machine and equipment. This paper describes on establishment of effective strategy based on BPR methodology and implementation of MES small and medium PCB manufacturing company with multiple-types of products and mixed process flows. And then we proposed evaluation model based on balanced score card (BSC) for considering non-finance elements as well as finance elements. With evaluation model, we analyzed benefits and effects of MES.

  • With lower quality and three to four times higher price than those of imported malting barley, the competitiveness of domestic malting barley is decreasing. Although the causes can be found in that the domestic environments are much unfavorable to cultivate the malting barley compared with those of USA or Canada, it is mainly reasoned from poorer developments in variety of high quality malting barley as well as in cultivation technology. For assuring the competitiveness of domestic malting barley, therefore, not only the development of high quality malting barley suitable to the climatic environment of this country but also the political supports of the government are required. Also, in addition to the breeding of the good quality malting barley haying higher germinative energy, and heavier and larger kernels of good plumpness as well as lower protein content, the modification of quality inspection standards from the system relying only on the visual characteristics such as kernel size distribution rate, shrimped kernel rate, foreign materials and so on, to such system as those of developed countries haying quality criteria such as protein content for inspection is absolutely required for the quality improvement of domestic malting barley.

  • The purpose of this study was to extract and evaluate the factors to improve the quality of shipping logistics platform suggested as an alternative to the stagnant shipping logistics industry. For this, we selected factors through previous research and expert interviews, and conducted surveys on carriers, forwarders, shippers, and platform operators with experience using shipping logistics platforms. As a method of analysis, quality evaluation of the shipping logistics platform was conducted using IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis). The results of this study are as follows "Competitiveness of services provided", "Connectivity with other transportation mode", "Competitiveness of freight", "Transparency of freight", and "Stability of booking space". For the shipping logistics platform to be activated in the future, priority should be given to focusing on these factors. This study has academic significance for establishing configuration function of shipping logistics platform and deriving evaluation factor. Additionally it is an industrial significance for suggesting strategies to improve users' participation in the shipping logistics platform.
