취원 유아 어머니의 삶의 만족도에 대한 부모 참 역량과 유아교육공동체 인식의 영향: 직업유무별 비교 (The Effects of Authentic Parental Competence and Awareness of the Early Childhood Educational Community on the Life Satisfaction of Mothers With Preschoolers: A Comparison of Employment Status)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of authentic parental competence and awareness of early childhood educational community on the life satisfaction of mothers with preschoolers depending on mothers' employment status. Methods: A total of 238 mothers (98 employed, 130 unemployed) whose children were attending early childhood institutes participated in a survey measuring three variables. Results and Conclusion: The findings of the study were as follows: First, there were positive correlations between authentic parental competence, awareness of early childhood educational community, and life satisfaction, regardless of employment status. Second, comparing employed mothers with unemployed mothers, a common variable affecting life satisfaction was social competence, a sub-variable of authentic parental competence. Further, self-system competence, a sub-factor of authentic parental competence, influenced life satisfaction for employed mothers, and sharing core values, a sub-variable of awareness of the early childhood educational community, influenced life satisfaction for unemployed mothers.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine gender differences in self-competence, social anxiety and depression in upper level primary school children. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, data were collected from 180 students in grades 5 or 6 (83 boys and 97 girls). The instruments used for this study were a self-report questionnaire, the Self-Perception Profile for Children, the Revised Social Anxiety Scales for Children (SASC-R) and a Depression Instrument. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression were used with the SPSS/PC ver 12.0 program. Results: The only gender difference was in depression and girls reported more depression than boys. Social competence showed significantly negative correlations with depression and social anxiety. Gender differences were found in self competence in the prediction of depression and social anxiety. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that there are gender differences in self competence which influence depression and social anxiety. Thus, enhancing self-competence could prevent social anxiety and depression in children but, differences in gender should be considered when developing programs to enhance self-competence.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship among clinical competence of diabetic diet education on standardized patients, self-efficacy, communication skill, learning satisfaction, and professional values of nursing students. Methods: The present study was a descriptive research. The participants were 144 junior nursing students in a university. The clinical competence on diabetic diet education was assessed by trained evaluators when nursing students performed diabetic diet education using the standardized patients. The students' self-efficacy, communication skill, professional values, and learning satisfaction were measured by themselves using the questionnaires. Results: The clinical competence on diabetic diet education showed positive correlations with communication skill and learning satisfaction, while the competence was not correlated to self-efficacy and professional values. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that clinical competence on diabetic diet education may be more related to communication skills and learning satisfaction than self-efficacy and professional values. Promoting communication skills and learning satisfaction using a standardized patient may increase nursing students' competence on diabetic diet education.

A Contiguity of Social Capital, Competence, and Business Performance Moderating by Government Policy

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the contiguity of social capital and competence on business performance moderating by government policy. A total sample of 225 Village Credit Institution (LPDs) managers in Bali, the hypothesis is examined using the WarpPLS analysis. The findings reveal that social capital has an important role in enhancing performance, Competence is also an important factor for managers because it can intensify performance. Social capital is largely related to the recognition of society regarding the credibility of the managers, while competence emphasizes the ability of the managers to manage the organization. Government policy must be viewed as a regulation that is able to help improve performance. However, the public policies issued by the government are still unable to help improve social capital and competence. Thus, to create public policies that are able to improve the competence and social capital, a further examination into the variables must be conducted. The findings suggest that two-way communication must be developed and synergy between the government and organizations to create opportunities and overcome the increasingly complex business challenges. The results emphasized the importance of social capital in enhancing business performance. In addition, the role of competence is of equal importance to enhance business performance.

약물계산 오류예방을 위한 간호사의 역량과 투약안전과 관련된 병원조직풍토간의 정준상관관계 (Canonical Correlation between Drug Dosage Calculation Error Prevention Competence of Nurses and Medication Safety Organizational Climate)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between drug dosage calculation error prevention competence and medication safety organizational climate. Methods: We surveyed 207 nurses from 15 hospitals. An assessment survey was designed to assess the medication safety organizational climate which consisted of four subcategories including medication safety cultures, medication safety initiatives, medication error communication, and medication error management competence. The drug dosage calculation error prevention competence contains two subcategories; Dosage calculation habits and ability. The data were collected from July to August 2011. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, partial Pearson correlation coefficient, canonical correlation were used. Results: Organizational climate was related to dosage calculation error prevention competence with two significant canonical variables. The first canonical correlation coefficient was .53 (Wilks' ${\lambda}$=0.71, df=8, p<.001) and that of the second was .21 (Wilks' ${\lambda}$=0.96, df=3, p=.027). The first variate indicated higher perception of medication safety cultures, safety initiatives, error communication and error management competence were related to better dosage calculation habits. The second variate showed higher perception of medication safety cultures and lower medication error management competence were related to higher calculation ability. Conclusion: Continuous supporting strategies for medication safety organizational climate should be implemented to improve drug dosage calculation habits.

실습과 반성을 통한 수학 예비교사의 평가 전문성 신장 (Improving Mathematics Pre-service Teachers' Assessment Competence through Practice and Reflection)

  • 예비교사에게 요구되는 학생 평가 전문성은 평가방법을 선택하고, 평가도구를 개발하고, 평가를 실시하여 채점하고, 평가 결과를 분석하고 해석하고 활용하는 일련의 과정을 경험하고, 그것을 반성할 때 신장될 수 있다. 본 연구는 예비교사들을 대상으로 평가 과정 전반을 경험하는 실습과 학습 일지를 통한 반성을 경험하게 하여 이들의 평가 전문성 신장이 어떠한지 알아보았다. 학습일지는 예비교사의 평가 관련 지식, 학생과 교사의 이중적 입장, 평가 실행의 영역에서 분석되었고, 그 결과 이 세 가지 영역은 상호작용하며 예비교사의 전문성을 신장시키는 데 기여했으며, 각각의 영역은 예비교사의 평가 전문성을 구성하는 요소가 되었다. 그리고 예비교사의 평가 전문성 신장을 양적으로 확인한 결과, 사전 검사에 비해 사후 검사의 평균 점수가 신장되었다.

결혼이주 여성의 문화적 역량, 건강증진 생활양식 및 삶의 질 (Cultural Competence, Health Promotion Behavior, and Quality of Life in Married Immigrant Women in Korea)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation coefficient cultural competence, health promotion behavior, and quality of life of married immigrant women in Korea. Methods: The participants included 88 married immigrant women who applied to educational programs for medical tour coordinators and agreed to participate in the study. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires that were constructed to include scales to measure cultural competence, health promotion behavior, and quality of life. Data were analyzed using ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients with SPSS/WIN 19.0. Results: Both cultural competence and health promotion behavior were different according to the husband's occupation. There was a positive correlation between cultural competence and quality of life, a positive correlation between health promotion behavior and quality of life, and a positive correlation between health promotion behavior and cultural competence. Conclusion: From a long-term point of view, various programs for married immigrant women should greatly strengthen their cultural competence and help them become genuine members of our society and live an independent life. Developing detailed and active programs for nursing intervention to constitute a healthy lifestyle and improve the quality of life is recommended.

핵심기본간호술 실습교육이 간호학생의 자기효능감과 임상수행능력, 실습만족도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Core Fundamental Nursing Skills Education on Self-efficacy, Clinical Competence and Practice Satisfaction in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to contribute to the development of efficient methods of nursing practice education by evaluating effects of core fundamental nursing skills education on self-efficacy, clinical competence and practice satisfaction in nursing students. Method: The research design was a one group pretest-posttest design and it was done to assess changes in self-efficacy and clinical competence from pre to the post-test which was given after the core fundamental nursing skills education was completed. Data were collected from September 5 to December 20, 2013 from 156 nursing students who were taking the 12-hours core fundamental nursing skills education at one university in Gyeonggi-do. This practicum was composed of 6 core fundamental nursing skills. Results: Self-efficacy and clinical competence scores improved. There was no significant difference in self-efficacy but there was a significant difference of clinical competence. In the subscales of clinical competence, the domain of nursing skill was scored the highest. The score for practice satisfaction was also high. Conclusion: The results indicate that the core fundamental nursing skills education is effective in improving clinical competence and practice satisfaction in nursing students. But new strategies are needed to improve self-efficacy.

간호대학생의 귀인성향과 자기효능감이 임상수행능력에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Attribution Disposition and Self-Efficacy on Clinical Practice Competence of Nursing Student)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of attribution disposition and self-efficacy on clinical practice competence of nursing students. Methods: A descriptive survey design was used. Participants were 214 nursing students who were collected using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed by frequencies, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple stepwise regression via spss win 21.0. Results: The total mean score for attribution disposition was $3.73{\pm}0.46$, self-efficacy was $3.20{\pm}0.42$, and clinical competence was $3.44{\pm}0.47$. Clinical competence is significantly and positively correlated with attribution disposition (r=.179, p=009) and self-efficacy (r=.379, p<.001). In a multivariate approach, predictors included explained 33.5% of variance in clinical competence. Significant predictors of clinical competence were attribution disposition (${\beta}=.245$, p<.001), self-efficacy (${\beta}=.380$, p<.001), and satisfaction with the nursing (${\beta}=.246$, p<.001). Conclusion: Development of an effective intervention program is needed to improve nursing students clinical practice competence, attribution disposition and attribution disposition of nursing students.

신규간호사의 임상수행능력과 현장적응의 관계에서 전문직업성의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effect of Professionalism in the Relationship between Clinical Competence and Field Adaptation in Newly Graduated Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effect of professionalism in the relationship between clinical competence and field adaptation in newly graduated nurses. Methods: The participants in this study were 213 nurses from four tertiary hospitals who had less than 12 months of nursing experience. Data were collected during January and February, 2013. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, and path analysis with the SPSS/WIN 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs. Results: The mean score for clinical competence was $2.85{\pm}0.25$, for professionalism, $3.10{\pm}0.30$, and for field adaptation, $2.79{\pm}0.37$. There was a significant positive relationship between clinical competence and field adaptation. Also, professionalism was positively correlated with field adaptation. Professionalism showed mediating effects between clinical competence and field adaptation. Improvement of clinical competence increased professionalism and the increased professionalism raised the field adaptation. Conclusion: Based on these findings, orientation programs including strategies to increase professionalism, should be established to promote effective field adaptation in newly graduated nurses. These orientation programs can strengthen professionalism, the mediator between clinical competence and field adaptation in newly graduated nurses.
