Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the relationship among health promotion behavior, perceived stress and constipation. Method: The subjects of this study consisted of 212 female university students. The data was collected using questionnaires from October to December, 2003 and analyzed t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Coefficients using SAS. Result: The subjects with difficulties in bowel elimination were 57.6% and there was a significant negative correlation between health promotion behavior and constipation. Conclusion: Data from this study suggest that constipation is an important health problem among female university students and needs further research to understand factors related to constipation.
This study is basic research for developing health promotion programs in elementary school and is looking at the effect factor of School nurses perception and school health promotion. This study was conducted with the ACCESS model for school health promotion from WHO. The subjects of this study were 28 elementary school nurses located in the west side of Kung-Nam from the 7th of June to the 30th of June by direct interview. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. the score from obesity, dental caries, health counselling, scoliosis, hepatitis B, immunization BCG items are higher in the low grade but showed significant difference in visual disturbance items. 2. the average score of school health promotion perception is 5.04. The list of school health promotion is composed of school health policies(5.39), physical environments (5.38), school health services(5.34), social environments (5.22), personal health skills (4.92), and community relationships(4.64). 3. after an analysis of the perception of school health promotion from school nurses, the relationship between the school health budget and the school health policy and school health service was shown to be significant. 4. after analysis of the effect factor of perception of school health promotion from school nurses, school health policy, school social environment, personal health skills, and school health service were shown to be significant. 5. The factors in school health promotion are the number of classes and students, school budgets, school nurses' final education and age, health education classes per week, and teaching experience. Particularly the school health budget and school nurses of the classes per week are statistically significant. The suggestions of this study are as follows: 1, as a related factor of school health promotion. the generally characteristics of schools and school nurses should be considered for improving the perception of school health promotion. 2, the period of health education for effective school health management and health education should be an on-going program. 3. the scope of school health promotion and perception should be considered for developing health promotion programs. 4. elementary school health promotion programs should be developed and applied to research. 5. computer system programs should be developed for effective school health projects.

In general, the applications of health education in Thailand have developed from efforts to solve the health problems of rural people, who have been under- served by the health services delivery system of the government. The concept of community oriented health education is a basic one and it provides the key to success of the health care program. In order to promote efficient and effective project promotion by checking the management status that meets the purpose of the local community service investment project, to provide systematic services necessary to consumers, improve quality, and improve the environment, the accurate situation and situation through the efficiency analysis of the service provider organization It is necessary to identify problems, develop programs suitable for regional characteristics, and actively manage services. Purpose: This study attempted to access the health promotion activities and employee's health promotion needs in workplaces. Methods: Subjects were 280 health care managers employed at small to large scale enterprises in national-wide areas of Korea. The instrument was a structured questionnaire included characteristics of workplace and respondents, health promotion activities, health promotion needs, and bottlenecks to operate programs. Data was analyzed using SAS 8.1 by applying $x^2-test$, t-test and ANOVA. Results: 1, 25.4% of the total workplaces employed health care managers. 2. Musculoskeletal management programs(49.6%) were the highest operating program. 3. The highest needs of health promotion programs were lifestyle management and disease prevention. 4. Health promotion activities were significantly different according to the type and size of workplaces. The programs were more frequently applied in manufacturing industries than non-manufacturing and in large-scale enterprises than small and middle-scale enterprises. 5. The needs of health promotion programs were high in non-manufacturing industries than manufacturing industries in all programs. 6. The major bottlenecks to operate programs were the difficulty in securing time, lack of budgets and lack of legal regulations. Conclusions: Health promotion activities were linked to their work environments including budgets, time, and law. Therefore, to operate effective health promotion programs in workplaces, various health promotion programs are required to be developed and systems for governmental support and management should be established.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate Seoul teacher's satisfaction with and needs for health examination and health promotion programs. Methods: The participants were 3,186 teachers in Seoul. Data were collected through an on-line survey system from November 16 to December 7, 2008. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Scheffe's test using PASW 18.0 program. Results: Teacher's satisfaction with teacher health examination was low and needs for detailed tests of cancer and vocal cord disorders were high. Teacher's satisfaction with teacher health promotion programs was low and needs for stress management, exercise and vocal cord protection program were high. Conclusion: Vocal cord disorders should be included in teacher health examination and vocal cord protection program should be provided for teacher's health promotion. Stress management and exercise program should also be provided for teacher's health promotion.
This study purports to develop a quality assessment tool for the process of health promotion programs at public health centers(PHC). The draft of the assessment tool developed by the literature was distributed to 242 staffs who were in charge of the health promotion programs at PHCs for evaluating the feasibility of the tool on September and October 2002. The major results of the study were as follows; The quality assessment tool developed in the study consisted of four domains: strategic planning, program management, monitoring and evaluation, and resources and information. The strategic planning dealt with the function of the planning staff and committees, community data analysis, the feasibility of the program, and the approach methods for attaining the goal of the program. The program management included the items on the qualification and power of the program staff. The monitoring and evaluation included the items on the reporting and communication among program units, and feed back after monitoring. Finally, the resources and information dealt with community networking, clients' response, and consulting activity of the staff. The validity of the tools was tested and partly supported by both formative and criterion-related methods. The assessment tools developed in this study could be used by health promotion workers in the self-evaluation of the program quality. In conclusion, the quality assessment tool developed in the study will be a good safeguard for assuring the quality of the process of health promotion programs.

Health Insurance System in Korea was introduced in 1977 and expanded health insurance benefits for all people in 1989. The development of medical service and technology takes a growing concerning for public health and medicine. And also, it helps to extend the average life span of Koreans. Therefore, the old people are steadily increased over seven percent of total population and will take more than 14% in 2023.
