Raw mulberry (Morus spp.) juice was prepared by minimal processing using several filter aids, fining agents, and clarifying enzymes, followed by filtration, centrifugation, and membrane filtration. Control of browning in minimally processed mulberry juices by anti-browning agents, sodium hydrosulfite, L-ascorbic acid, citric acid, and NaCl, was investigated using quantitative measurements of color changes during storage. Clarification of mulberry juice was improved by adding several filter aids, fining agents, and enzymes, followed by filtration and centrifugation. Several fining agents, including chitosan, chitin, PVPP, gelatin, and casein at a concentration of 1%, and combination of ultrafiltration and centrifugation at 8,000 rpm were not suitable for clarification of juice owing to strong adsorption of anthocyanin pigment. Combination of $0.01\;{\mu}m$ membrane filtration and centrifugation at 8,000 rpm was effective for clarification of mulberry juice. Browning of minimally processed mulberry juice was inhibited significantly by adding 200 ppm sodium hydrosulfite, and 0.1% L-ascorbic acid (L-AsA) and 0,1% citric acid (CA) also showed considerable browning inhibition. Combination of L-AsA and CA, which was moderately effective for browning inhibition of juice, may be useful as a sulfite alternative for mulberry juice. Optimum sugar ($^{\circ}Brix$)/acid ratio and commercial sterilization of minimally processed mulberry juice were approximately 40 and 10 min at $85-90^{\circ}C$, respectively.

In Japan, the vacancy rates of office buildings have been at high in big cities since 1992. This problem is especially acute in Tokyo, where it is estimated that over 2.27 million square meters of office floor area will be oversupplied in 2003: big urban redevelopment projects will be completed in 2003. Under these circumstances, International Cooperative Research and Development on Sustainable Urban Management by Conversion of Buildings, called “SUMCOB”, has been carried out. This research aims to regenerate urban areas by converting redundant offices into flats, although instances of conversion are still very few in Japan. This paper introduces part of current results by SUMCOB, and discusses legal problems with conversion and basic capacity of vacant offices in Tokyo. It has been confirmed that there are no constraints concerned with Real Estate Registration Law (although it requires the change of the registration after conversion). and City Planning Law. However, some criteria are incompatible with Building Standard Law and Fire Service Law if the use of the building is changed from offices to flats. Typical incompatibility between offices and flats is lightening. If the buildings do not satisfy criteria for flats, the cost of renovation works for conversion will increase. To examine the basic capacity of vacant office buildings for conversion, field surveys in Tokyo have carried out at three areas: Kodenmacho (Chuo-ku), Toranomon (Minato-ku), and Iwamonocho (Chiyoda-ku). They are typical office areas that are included in center core of Tokyo. In Chuo-ku, the oldest commercial area in Tokyo, textile merchants have been located their headquarters. In Minato-ku, many rental office buildings have been located and several large scale redevelopments are advancing. Chiyoda-ku includes Marunouchi area, which is the prime office area in Japan. Thirty percent of the buildings in survey areas suffer from over twenty percent vacant floor rate, and fifty five percent were constructed before 1990. Especially most of buildings over forty percent vacant floor rate were constructed in 1980s. Vacant office problems haven't been seen in old buildings in Tokyo yet. The number of dwelling units made from office space will influence the conversion scheme. Seventy percent of the office buildings in survey areas have floor area of less than two hundred square meters. If they have been subdivided into two bedrooms type or three bedrooms type, the number of dwelling units in a floor would be less than three. The difficulty of conversion planning derives from frontage size, depth size, and their proportion. The five categories are proposed to grasp actual requirements for converting offices into flats.

Many disputes are happened with various causes in overseas construction projects. One of major disputes is closely related with nominated subcontractors (NSC). This paper investigates 30 judical precedents for Singapore, Malaysia and Hongkong to analyze the detailed disputes related with the NSC, and then the judical precedents are classified into 6 categories: Delay and Defect Trouble (T1), Contract Relation (T2), Payment Trouble (T3), Set-off (T4), Liquidation (T5) and so forth (T6). According to the analytical results, the frequency of occurrence of disputes is considerably related with social and economical changes, and the dispute between NSC and employer for residential and commercial building projects is the most frequently happened case. As the results of analysis, therefore, it is concluded that the employer needs to response aggressively to the problems related with NSC, and it is also important to make the council for communication among related bodies. Furthermore, the institutional reform that make the role and the responsibility of employer consistent under considering contract terms and conditions is considered as the most important and fundamental issue.

In this paper, a planar structure negative group delay circuit(NGDC) is proposed to overcome the limited availability of the component values required for the prototype lumped element(LE) NGDC design. From the prototype LE circuit analysis, general design equations and the conditions to obtain the NGD are derived and illustrated. Then the LE circuit is converted into the planar structure by applying the transmission line resonator(TLR) theory. As a design example, the LE NGDC and the proposed planar structure NGDC are designed and compared. To estimate the commercial applicability, 2-stage reflection type planar NGDC with -5.6 ns of total group delay, -0.2 dB of insertion loss, and 30 MHz of bandwidth together with 0.1 dB and 0.5 ns of the magnitude and group delay flatness, respectively, for Wideband Code Division Multiple Access(WCDMA) downlink band is fabricated and demonstrated. Also, to show the applicability of the proposed NGDC, we have configured a simple signal cancellation loop and obtained good loop suppression performance.

In this paper, we propose a method of near-field analysis for vehicle LF antennas in order to estimate the accurate reading range of a smart key. The LF antenna consists of a ferrite core and a conducting wire which is coated with polyethylene for insulation, and it is mounted at the rear bumper frame of a commercial vehicle. The reading range of a smart key is measured at nine azimuthal directions distributed around the rear bumper, and then, the received power at each maximum reading range is measured by using a spectrum analyzer. The measurement shows that the maximum reading range exists between 1.38 m and 1.53 m, and the radiated power is between -83.6 dBmW and -75.0 dBmW. We further conducted EM simulation to estimate the reading range and the received power under the same condition that we applied for the measurement. The results demonstrate that an accurate reading range and received power can be achieved by simulation.

Government has recently restricted heating and cooling set temperatures for the commercial and public buildings due to increasing national energy consumption. The goal of this paper is to visualize a future two way indoor set temperature control impact on building energy consumption by using TRNSYS simulation modeling. The building was modelled based on the twin test cell with the same dimension. Air source ground coupled heat pump performance data has been used for modeling by TRNSYS 17. Daejeon weather data has been used from Korea Solar Energy Society. The heating set temperature in the reference room is $24^{\circ}C$ as well as the target room set temperature are $23^{\circ}C$, $22^{\circ}C$, $21^{\circ}C$ and $20^{\circ}C$. The cooling set temperature of the reference room is also $24^{\circ}C$ as well as the target room set temperature of $25^{\circ}C$, $26^{\circ}C$, $27^{\circ}C$ and $28^{\circ}C$. For the air source heat pump system, heating season energy consumption is $35.52kWh/m^2y$ in the reference room. But the heating energy consumption in the target room is reduced to 7.5% whenever the set temperature decreased every $1^{\circ}C$. The cooling energy consumption in the reference room is $4.57kWh/m^2y$. On the other hand, the energy consumption in the target room is reduced to 22% whenever the set temperature increased every $1^{\circ}C$ by two way controller. For the geothermal heat pump system, heating energy consumption in the reference room is reduced to 20.7%. The target room heating energy consumption is reduced to 32.6% when the set temperature is $22^{\circ}C$. The energy consumption in the target room is reduced to 59.5% when the set temperature is $26^{\circ}C$.

In this paper, we investigated a manufacturing process of metal micro-wire interconnection on submillimeter diameter catheter. Over the years, flexible electronic researches have focused on flexible plane polymer substrate and micro electrode manufacturing on its surface. However, a curved polymer substrate, such as catheter, is very important for medical application. Among many catheters, importance of submillimeter diameter steerable catheter is increasing to resolve the several limitations of neurosurgery. Steering actuators have been researched for realizing the steerable catheter, but there is no research about practical wiring for driving these actuators. Therefore we developed a new manufacturing process for metal micro-wire interconnection on submillimeter diameter catheter. We designed custom jigs for alignment of the metal micro-wires on the submillimeter diameter catheter. An UV curing system and commercial products were used to reduce the manufacturing time and cost; Au micro-wire, UV curable epoxy, UV lamp, and submillimeter diameter catheter. The assembled catheter was characterized by using an optical microscope, a resistance meter, and a universal testing machine.
In context of e-commerce, negotiation is a procedure to help negotiate between buyer and seller by adjusting their negotiation issues such as price and in terms of payment. We used intelligent agent and mobile device to promote new framework of e-commerce. Moreover, this framework can help buyers and sellers to carry their commercial transactions effectively. In regard to that issue, we need to carry out the research of negotiation agent that can be used in e-commerce fields. In this paper, we modeled the negotiation using CSP for the performance of agent in m-commerce environment. Furthermore we implemented interface for mobile device to extract buyer's requirement and preference easily Besides that we used utility function to make a decision for various evaluation functions and suggestions that are used for evaluation of negotiation issues. A difficulty of generating offer is dependent on the number of negotiation issues and the range of the values. Therefore, if any offer has a number of negotiation issues and the range of values are wide, the search space will be exponentially expanded. There have been many studies fur solving this problem, we applied those techniques to improve the agent's ability of negotiation. For example, a contract can be accomplished by exchanging seller and buyer's offer that is generated by agent to adjust the requisite profit for each party. Finally, we show the improvement of satisfaction as the negotiation is processed.

As the use of smartphones and tablet PCs has exploded in recent years, there are many occasions where such devices are used for treating sensitive data such as financial transactions. Naturally, many types of attacks have evolved that target these devices. An attacker can capture a password by direct observation without using any skills in cracking. This is referred to as shoulder surfing and is one of the most effective methods. There has been only a crude definition of shoulder surfing. For example, the Common Evaluation Methodology(CEM) attack potential of Common Criteria (CC), an international standard, does not quantitatively express the strength of an authentication method against shoulder surfing. In this paper, we introduce a shoulder surfing risk calculation method supplements CC. Risk is calculated first by checking vulnerability conditions one by one and the method of the CC attack potential is applied for quantitative expression. We present a case study for security-enhanced QWERTY keyboard and numeric keypad input methods, and the commercially used mobile banking applications are analyzed for shoulder surfing risks.

Injection molding is one of plastic forming technology which can easily mass-produce plastic parts with various and even complex shape. The technology has lots of difficulties in making a good part due to phase change of material, high applied pressure, and fast melt flow speed in the cavity. To overcome the problems, they had to make trial and error method until the CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) could be a tool for concurrent engineering. In this paper, we investigate the optimal design for a plastic DVD tray part by systematic approach of the commercial CAE program. In design, we should consider two objectives which are both dimensional stability and cost-down. The dimension of the part is crucial because the tray should carry a DVD correctly, but the part is too thin to injection-mold easily. In order to improve the moldability, the mold is designed in the form of stack mold which is a kind of 4 hot runner system. In first, we changed the stack-mold system with one hot-runner to cost down, and decided the optimal position of the gate. After that, we investigate the effect of both the layout of cooling channels and the cooling temperature on the shrinkage of the DVD tray. A optimal simulation approach, the gate design is 2Gate#3 and the layout is Case2 cooling line as the optimal temperature of $70^{\circ}C$. The Moldflow and PC+ABS are used for the CAE program and material respectively.
