다양한 침지처리가 대두의 미생물 오염 및 발아율에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Various Presoaking Treatments on the Microbial Contamination and Germination Ratio of Soybeans)

  • 다양한 조건으로 대두를 침지하여 대두 발아시 미생물에 의한 오염을 최대한 방지하고 발아율을 높이는 조건을 검토하기 위해 대두를 멸균수, 0.1%의 자몽씨 추출물과 0.1%의 비타민 $B_1$ 유도체(AS5, vitagen)용액 등에 $25^{\circ}C,\;35^{\circ}C,\;45^{\circ}C,\;55^{\circ}C$에서 $3\sim12$시간 동안 침지시킨 후 $25^{\circ}C$, 상대습도 95%의 조건에서 3일 동안 발아시키며 발아율을 관찰하였다. 침지전 대두의 일반 미생물수는 $6.0\times10^5CFU/g$, 대장균군수는 $3.0\times10^5CFU/g$이었고, 대부분의 침지조건에서 미생물 오염 정도는 감소하였다. 침지 대두의 발아율은 침지시간이 길어질수록 미침지 대두보다 발아율이 떨어졌고 $45^{\circ}C$이상에서는 급격히 떨어져 $55^{\circ}C$에서는 발아가 거의 일어나지 않음이 관찰되었다. 대두의 발아율은 침지용액의 종류와 침지시간 및 온도에 의해 영향을 받았으며, 대두의 미생물 오염 감소와 초기발아를 유도를 위한 최적 조건은 자몽씨 추출물을 사용하여 $35^{\circ}C$에서 6시간 침지시켰을 때였다.

클린룸 국소환경에서 오염원의 위험율에 대한 수치해석적 평가 (Numerical evaluation of risk rates for contamination sources in a minienvironment)

  • In this study, the risk rates of different contamination sources of the contaminant in a minienvironment were analyzed through Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation. The airflow pattern characteristics can only predict the qualitative variation of contaminant concentration, but cannot evaluate the quantitative variations in the risk rate of sources. From the results, the ambient contamination sources mainly affect wafers in the Front Opening Unified Pod (FOUP), whereas the internal contamination sources mainly affect wafers laid on the robot arm in the minienvironment. And the purging plenum system is very useful in protecting the wafers in the FOUP from contaminants transferred from the Fan Filter Unit (FFU). However, this system is unable to protect the wafers on the robot arm from internal contaminants and the wafers in the FOUP from sources of the interface between the FOUP and the minienvironment.

이온화칼슘이 도계과정 중 도체표면의 미생물 교차오염에 미치는 영향 (Effects of ionized calcium on microbial cross-contamination in surface of carcass via slaughter process of chickens)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of ionized calcium treatment on total bacterial cross-contamination of chicken carcass surface in the slaughtering process. The growth of Escherichia coli was strongly inhibited in a medium prepared by using a 0.5% ionized calcium solution. The total bacterial cross-contamination of chicken carcass surface and the scalding water was significantly increased as the number of scalding was increased (p<0.05). The total bacterial cross-contamination of chicken carcass surface reached a plateau without a further increase as scalding was performed consecutively for 10 or more times. The total bacterial cross-contamination of the scalding water was significantly increased as the number of scalding was increased (p<0.05). The total bacterial cross-contamination of chicken carcass surface of the chickens raised on a floor type farm was significantly higher than that of the chickens raised in a battery cages (p<0.05). The total bacterial cross-contamination of chicken carcass surface of the chickens raised on a floor type farm was significantly lower in the 0.5% ionized calcium solution treatment group than in the control group (p<0.05).

소나무(Pinus densiflora) 묘목의 생장에 미치는 납과 CO2의 영향 (Effects of Pb and CO2 on the Growth of Pinus densiflora Seedlings)

  • 본 연구는 $CO_2$ 증가와 Pb 오염이 소나무 묘목에 미치는 영향에 대하여 조사하였다. 납 오염 토양(500 mg/kg-soil)과 비오염토양에 2년생 소나무를 식재한 후, $CO_2$ 농도를 380 PPM 혹은 760 ppm으로 조절한 배양기에서 3개월간 생육시킨 후, 소나무 묘목의 성장, 납 함량 변화 및 토양의 물리 화학적 변화를 조사하였다. 소나무의 생체량과 뿌리 길이는$CO_2$ 농도에 따라 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 납에 의한 저해는 뚜렷이 나타났다. 납 오염 토양에서 토양중의 납 잔류랑은 $CO_2$ 농도에 영향을 받지 않았으나, 소나무 뿌리중의 축적량은 $CO_2$ 농도가 높으면 2배 정도 높았다. 이러한 결과는 $CO_2$ 농도 증가가 소나무 뿌리의 Pb 생물 이용성에 영향을 미치는 것을 시사한다.

Computational and Experimental Study of Grain Growth in WC-Co and WC-VC-Co Cemented Carbides

  • The knowledge of grain growth of carbide particles is very important for manufacturing micrograined cemented carbides. In the present study, continuous and discontinuous grain growth in WC-Co and WC-VC-Co cemented carbides is investigated using the Monte Carlo computer simulation technique. The Ostwald ripening process (solution/re-precipitation) and the grain boundary migration process are assumed in the simulation as the grain growth mechanism. The effects of liquid phase fraction, grain boundary energy and implanted coarse grain are examined. At higher liquid phase content, mass transfer via solid/liquid interfaces plays a major role in grain growth. Growth rate of the implanted grain was higher than that of the matrix grains through solution/re-precipitation and coalescence with neighboring grains. The results of these simulations qualitatively agree with experimental ones and suggest that distribution of liquid phase and carbide particle/carbide grain boundary energy as well as contamination by coarse grain are important factors controlling discontinuous grain growth in WC-Co and WC-VC-Co cemented carbides. The contamination by coarse grains must by avoided in the manufacturing process of fine grain cemented carbides, especially with low Co.

우리나라의 환경문제 우선순위 도출 - 환경전문가를 중심으로 - (The Priority of Environmental Problems in Korea)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the priority of environmental problems in Korea by investigating the environmental professionals' perception. The delphi technique was applied to identify their risk perception towards some specific items related with pollution. A standardized questionnaire on environmental problems and their priorities was used to 74 subjects. In the questionnaire, the environmental problems were divided into the general ones,9 items, and the specific ones,30 items. Also, the perception was associated with two points of view which were the risk on general human health or ecosystem, and on the present situation in Korea. The priority of risk from general environmental problems on human health or ecosystem was analyzed in the order of 'water pollution', 'air pollution', 'soil contamination', 'waste', 'toxic chemical pollutants', 'food contamination', 'ocean contamination', 'odor pollution', and 'noise pollution'. The priority of risk on the present situation in Korea was analyzed in the order of 'water pollution','air pollution','waste','toxic chemical pollutants','food contamination','soil contamination','ocean contamination','odor pollution', and 'noise pollution'. And these priorities were significantly related with the characteristics of respondents such as sex, age, and major concerned area. However, for the first five priorities of risk from the specific environmental problems on human health or ecosystem, the environmental professionals agreed with 'automotive vehicle exhaust', 'domestic and industrial source pollutants to surface water', '$CO_2$nd g1oba1 warming effect','toxic air pollutant' and 'industrial source air pollution'. The priorities of risk on the present situation in Korea were similar to these results.

반도체 클린룸용 에어와셔 외기공조시스템의 에너지소비량에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Energy Consumption of Air Washer Outdoor Air Conditioning Systems for Semiconductor Manufacturing Clean Rooms)

  • In recent large-scale semiconductor manufacturing clean rooms, the energy consumption of outdoor air conditioning systems to heat, humidify, cool and dehumidify incoming outdoor air represents about 45% of the total air conditioning load required to maintain a clean room environment. Therefore, the energy performance evaluation and analysis of outdoor air conditioning systems is useful for reducing the outdoor air conditioning load for a clean room. In the present study, an experiment was conducted to compare the energy consumption of outdoor air conditioning systems with a simple air washer, an exhaust air heat recovery type air washer and a DCC return water heat recovery type air washer. It was shown from the present lab-scale experiment with an outdoor air flow of 1,000 $m^3/h$ that the exhaust air heat recovery type and DCC return water heat recovery type air washer outdoor air conditioning systems were more energy-efficient for the summer and winter operations than the simple air washer outdoor air conditioning system and furthermore, the DCC return water heat recovery type one was the most energy-efficient in the winter operation.

다공성 제올라이트 콘크리트의 수질정화 특성 (Water Purification Properties of Porous Zeolite Concrete)

  • 친환경 재료에 대한 관심이 급증함에 따라 재료의 구조적 기능성 및 투수성을 동시에 갖는 다공성 콘크리트의 활용이 증가되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 다공성 콘크리트에 제올라이트를 혼합하여 다양한 활용도를 갖는 다기능형 옥석 제품의 수질정화 능력을 평가하여 친환경제품으로서의 적합성을 검토하였다. 흐름이 없는 시험용 수조에서 시간에 따른 오염도 제거율은 T-N (70.6%), T-P (67.0%), BOD (57.7%), TOC (50.6%) 순으로 우수한 수질정화 특성을 보였다. 또한 유입 및 유출이 가능한 비점오염원에서 시간에 따른 유출부에서의 수질오염도 및 중금속 농도의 제거율은 Zn (99.9%), Pb (90.0%), BOD (69.2%), COD (33.5%) 순으로 흐름이 없는 경우에서의 오염도 제거율보다 수질정화 특성이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 다공성 콘크리트 시설물을 실제 하천 등에 시공했을 시에 우수한 오염도 제거율을 바탕으로 친환경제품으로 적합함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • A ball-shape alumina arc-tube for low-wattage lamp was developed by the PIM process. An ultra high purity translucentgrade alumina powder was used. In injection molding process, a hot-runner type mold was developed. The translucent-grade alumina powder was extremely sensitive to contamination so that the injection molding condition and atmosphere control in the furnace should be taken care of with extreme caution. Contamination sources were pinpointed with EPMA. The arc-tube was molded in half and two halves were bonded in the middle by a new bonding technique at room temperature developed in this study.

유체배관 오염 검출장치 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Device Development for the Contamination Detection in the Delivery Line)

  • Process gases with vapor or liquid phase as well as gas phase may experience alteration in itself or be contaminated in the fluid pipe to the process chamber. And thus it result in as particles or defects on the substrates in semiconductor, LCD, LED manufacturing. Purifiers and filters are used for control of contamination. However, none of detection device is available in the delivery line. In this paper, we propose simple device with lighting and sensing in order to predict contamination of the fluid or the tube wall. For some general purpose gases, it showed constant voltage output regardless of the flow rates. But, the smoke and the moisture in the air lowered the figure due to its concentration. Numerical values for several solid and liquid media were obtained. And, the operating temperature tendency was investigated.
