클라우드 게임산업 동향분석 및 전망에 관한 연구 - 디바이스, 플랫폼, 콘텐츠를 중심으로 - (A Study on trend Analysis and Future Prospects of Cloud Game Industry - Focus on Device, Platform, Contents -)

  • The game Industry has been a major leader in business world with its size and volume in terms of profit and culture contents, and ever increasing at the moment. Cloud Game has appeared as a new, combined game format, playable on smart TV and smart phone with its upgraded storage size and fast spreading N-screen. This research studies the present reality of the cloud industry by focusing on three categories which are device type, Platform, and game contents consequently in order to determine the future prospect of cloud games. First, the cloud game business will thrive as devices such as smart TV and smart phone are used widely. Second, the cloud game industry will have a new era when OS systems of Platform are united effectively. Third, the previous platform holders will have to face new challenges brought up by cloud games' service providers. Forth, the gamer, developer, and service provider need each other in order to widen the spectrum of business in cloud game industry.

  • This letter presents a model for a dynamic collaboration (DC) platform among cloud providers (CPs) that prevents adverse business impacts, cloud vendor lock-in and violation of service level agreements with consumers, and also offers collaborative cloud services to consumers. We consider two major challenges. The first challenge is to find an appropriate market model in order to enable the DC platform. The second is to select suitable collaborative partners to provide services. We propose a novel combinatorial auction-based cloud market model that enables a DC platform among CPs. We also propose a new promising multi-objective optimization model to quantitatively evaluate the partners. Simulation experiments were conducted to verify both of the proposed models.

  • To implement a cloud game service platform supporting multiple users and devices based on real-time streaming, there are many technical needs, including game screen and sound capturing, audio/video encoding in real time created by a high-performance server-generated game screen, and real-time streaming to client devices, such as low-cost PCs, smart devices, and set-top boxes. We therefore present a game service platform for the running and management of the game screen, as well as running the sound on the server, in which the captured and encoded game screen and sound separately provide client devices through real-time streaming. The proposed platform offers Web-based services that allow game play on smaller end devices without requiring the games to be installed locally.

  • As multimedia content technology developed, there are many cases that service contents are being provided in many different ways in the cloud-based media service system. A DRM is a technology that can enhance the copyright of the digital content by providing right information. It is available on a single platform and has a problem that the additional cost when the platform is changing. In this paper, we propose a media service system based on cloud computing. It can be used on multiple platforms at the same time by applying a number of DRM for digital contents, and allows use of a new authentication for another platform without any additional cost.

  • Purpose: Cloud-computing technology has several advantages, including maintenance, management, accessibility, and computing power. A greenhouse-control system utilizing these advantages was developed using a private cloud-computing system. Methods: A private cloud needs a collection of servers and a suite of software tools to monitor and control cloud-computing resources. In this study, a server farm, operated by OpenStack as a cloud platform, was constructed using servers, and other network devices. Results: The greenhouse-control system was developed according to the fundamental cloud service models: infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, and software as a service. This system has four additional advantages - security, control function, public data use, and data exchange. There are several considerations that must be addressed, such as service level agreement, data ownership, security, and the differences between users. Conclusions: When the advantages are utilized and the considerations are addressed, cloud-computing technology will be beneficial for agricultural use.

A Study on the Medical tourism customized service platform for clinic

  • Through diversification of 4th industries and transportation and globalization, tourism was developed for medical purposes, not limited to touring tourist attractions. The trend of medical tourism in Korea is shifting from large and medium-sized hospitals to professional medical services in one area of small hospitals rather than professional medical services. However, small hospitals lack medical coordinators and interpretation services, and tourists who visit Korea for treatment lack information on small hospitals. Therefore, a platform is needed to match small hospitals with medical tourists. In this study, using Platform as a Service (Paas) in cloud computing, clinic administrators can access the app to introduce information about their hospitals with simple manipulations. Tourists also want to propose a customized platform to select the right area for them to check information about small-scale hospitals and choose the treatment and tourist attractions they wants.   • 스마트팜은 현재 농업 환경 모니터링 분야에서 각광받고 있다. 무선 원격 시스템의 사용으로 스마트팜의 응용 프로그램들은 농민이 어디에 있던지 생장 정보를 제공할 수 있다. 부재중에서도 모바일 폰을 사용하여 도표화된 정보를 얻을 수 있다. 우리는 클라우드 플랫폼 기술을 기반으로 스마트팜을 관리, 운영하는데 있어 필요한 시스템 및 서비스의 기술적 요구사항과 구성 내용을 설계한다. 클라우드 플랫폼은 스마트팜을 모니터링, 제어, 관리 및 운영하기 위한 클라우드 기술의 요구사항을 기술하고 있으며, 특히, 클라우드 플랫폼 기반 스마트팜 시스템 및 서비스는 3가지 인터페이스와 3가지 서비스로 구성되어 있다. 또한, 클라우드 플랫폼을 활용한 스마트팜은 재배작목, 농장의 규모, 시설형태 등에 따라 다양한 방식으로 구축, 운영 될 수 있으며, 이에 따라 다양한 유형이 존재한다. 이를 통하여 오픈 (개방/표준) 클라우드 플랫폼의 중요성에 대해 산업계의 관심을 고조시키고 농업에서의 스마트팜의 활성화에 기여할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문은 클라우드 서비스를 위한 초고화질 영상 송수신 미디어 플랫폼인 레고형 UHD(Ultra High Definition) 미디어 플랫폼을 제안한다. 이 플랫폼을 이용하면 옥/내외 환경에서 UHD 영상을 이용할 수 있는 클라우드 서비스를 자유롭게 공유할 수 있고, 차세대 무선 통신기술(802.11ac, LTE Broadcast 등)이 적용된 다양한 미디어 제품과 제안된 플랫폼을 활용한다면 누구나 손쉽게 개발시킬 수 있으며, 다양한 비즈니스 모델에 적용할 수 있어 새로운 시장과 산업 창출을 기대 할 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.

  • Artificial intelligence is becoming a global hot topic and is being actively applied in various industrial fields. Not only is artificial intelligence being applied to industrial sites in an on-premises method, but cloud-based artificial intelligence platforms are expanding into "as a service" type. The purpose of this study is to develop and verify a measurement tool for an evaluation framework for the adoption of a cloud-based artificial intelligence platform and test the interrelationships of evaluation variables. To achieve this purpose, empirical testing was conducted to verify the hypothesis using an expanded technology acceptance model, and factors affecting the intention to adopt a cloud-based artificial intelligence platform were analyzed. The results of this study are intended to increase user awareness of cloud-based artificial intelligence platforms and help various industries adopt them through the evaluation framework.
