The subjects of this study are 434 students and formal survey methodologies were used in collecting data. Moreover SAS Package(Ver 6,12) Program was used for analysis and various methods such as factor analysis cluster analysis ANOVA Scheffe test conjoint analysis multiple regression correlation analysis and {{{{ chi ^2 }}-test were followed. The results of this study were as follows : 1) Clothing involvement consists of the affective factor and the cognitive factor 2) The consumers were divided into three groups with regards to the degree of their clothing involvement : those are the high cognitive and high affective involvement group the low cognitive and high affective involvement group and the low cognitive and low affective involvement group 3) The objective attributes of clothing were determined by such factors as price brand style and color whereas the subjective and fashionability 4) Significant differences were found regarding the importance of such clothing attributes among these groups 5) Partial significant differences were found regarding the importance of such clothing attributes among these groups. 5) Partial significant differences were found with regards to the influence of the objective attributes on the subjective attributes among these groups 6) Partial significant differences were found with regards to the influence of clothing attributes on the preference and purchase intentions among these groups. 7) There were differences in the correlation of preference and purchase intentions among these groups : such among these groups with regards to the demographic characteristics of these groups.

This study makes use of meta-analysis to statistically integrate the quantitative results of individual research on the influence of fashion product attributes on purchase; in addition, this study utilizes the effect sizes of correlation coefficients. This study was based on 24 individual studies from January 2000 to March 2015. The meta-analysis analyzed 91 effect sizes and 24 studies and calculated the correlation coefficient effect sizes. A random effect model was employed for meta-analysis because the results for the homogeneity test indicated that the effect sizes of each research were heterogeneous. The analysis results are as follows. First, when the total effect sizes of the fashion product attributes that influence clothing purchase decisions were calculated as .256; this indicated that the effect size is slightly below the mid-sized level. Second, upon examining the effect sizes of the categorized fashion product attributes, the intrinsic attributes yielded .222, extrinsic factors yielded .235, and the compiled attributes yielded .420; this demonstrated that the compiled attributes have a larger effect size than individual attributes. Third, when they were measured by the characteristics of study targets, they were larger for a mixed-gender group than women as well as for ordinary citizens than university students. When the effect sizes were measured based on the characteristics of fashion products as suggested in the study, there were significant differences with respect to sportswear, followed by SPA brand clothing, general clothing, fashion accessories, and designer clothing. The cases where the clothing were purchased in non-retail stores were found to have a slightly larger effect size than those of offline retail stores when the effect sizes were measured based on purchase routes; however, the difference was not statistically significant. Next, an investigation of the trend of effect sizes based on published year via the meta regression analysis indicated slightly larger effect sizes as shown in more recent publications, but this was not statistically significant.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the cognitive complexity of clothing attributes, which influence the preference and purchase intentions. The subjects of this study are 434 female college students and formal survey methodologies were used for collecting data. Those data were analyzed with SAS program, and various methods such as factor analysis, cluster analysis, conjoint analysis, path analysis of Lisrel were followed. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Clothing involvement consists of the affective factor and the cognitive factor. 2) The consumers were divided into three groups with regards to the degree of their clothing involvement. 3) Significant differences were found regarding the cognitive complexity of clothing attributes among these groups.
The purpose of this study was to take the gauge of the importance-performance of the clothing store attribute in the department store. The survey was administered to customers of department stores in Deajeon city and frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and importance-performance analysis were used to analyze the data of 37 clothing store attributes. The findings of this study were as bellows: 1. 8 factors were distracted from 37 clothing store attributes by factor analysis (Factor 1: goods, Factor 2; store's facility and environment, Factor 3; salesman and service, Factor 4; brand, Factor 5; price, Factor 6; store's atmosphere, Factor 7; convenience of the transportation and access, Factor 8; promotion and advertisement) 2. as results of importance-performance analysis, 10 attributes were shown in area I (high importance and high performance) which needed a strategy of Keep Up the Good Work, 6 attributes in area II (low importance but high performance) fitted a strategy of Possible Overkill, 12 attributes in area III (high importance but low performance) corresponded to a strategy of Concentrate Here, and finally a strategy of Low Priority was needed to 9 attributes in area IV (low importance and low performance).

The data were obtained from 603 questionnaires. Data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 10 and LISREL 7.0. Major statistical methods were factor analysis, Cronbach's a coefficient, multiple regression analysis, and structural equation model analysis. The results were as follows: 1. Involvement was related to the consumer knowledge and the knowledge influenced evaluation of intrinsic attributes, social attributes, and economic attributes. 2. The dimensions of objective knowledge significantly influenced intrinsic attributes and economic attributes. This study classifies consumers according to apparel shopping values to find the differences of apparel attributes in accordance to shopping value segments between Korean and Chinese college students. College students from Seoul and Beijing participated in the study and a quota sampling method collected the data. Data from 504 questionnaires is used for the statistical analysis. A factor analysis through, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, ANOVA, and a post-hoc test are conducted. Two factors of apparel shopping values are classified (hedonic shopping values and utilitarian shopping values). Four segments of apparel shopping value were classified (hedonic shopping, low involvement shopping segment, high involvement shopping, and utilitarian shopping). Three factors of apparel attribute are classified (external attributes, internal/aesthetic attributes, and internal/quality attributes). The result indicate that high involvement shopping segments considered all the clothing attributes more importantly than the other three segments. Chinese respondents of hedonic shopping segments and high involvement shopping segments considered advertisements in terms of external attributes, assembly, and fit in terms of internal/quality performance attributes as more important than Koreans. Chinese respondents of low involvement shopping segments also considered assembly and fit in terms of internal/quality performance attributes as more important than Koreans. Korean respondents of utilitarian shopping segments had a special regard for design and color in terms of internal/aesthetic attributes but the Chinese had a special regard for assembly, fit, and ease of maintenance in terms of internal/quality performance attributes.

This article develops the perceived attributes of fashion goods and hierarchical structure among these attributes. In-depth interviews of 12 adult women in the exploratory research and a questionnaire survey of 472 adult women in the empirical research were conducted. The results of the research are as follows: First, a total of 5 perceived subjective attributes of fashion goods are composed of newness, mass fashionability, social compatibility, personal compatibility and self-expressiveness, and the dimensions of the five drawn attributes show a hierarchical causality rather than an equal level. Newness and mass fashionability, perception attributes effect social compatibility and personal compatibility as consequence attributes exert a direct influence on the self-expressiveness represented by value attributes. Personal compatibility and social compatibility as consequence attributes also directly effects self-expressiveness while mediating newness and mass fashionability.
