  • Very convenient equivalent circuits fur the design of bandpass filters with an attenuation pole in the lower or upper stopband are provided together with necessary closed-form solutions. The proposed approach gives us much flexibility and simplifies the design of inserting attenuation poles.

  • Recently, a number of papers on adaptive control scheme of manipulators are proposed. Slotine and Li[1] showed an adaptive control scheme for robot manipulator. The controller was described in closed form. And later Niemeyer and Slotine discussed about a computational implementation of the controller in recursive form[2]. Walker proposed another adaptive control scheme which can be implemented by a recursive-form controller[4]. Closed-form description is used for the analysis or design of adaptive control systems while recursive-form realization is used for implementation of the controller. The relation between the closed-form realization and the recursive-form one seems to be inadequately referred. Hence, it makes sense to consider the relation between the closed-form description and the recursive-form one. In this paper, first, we make a simple derivation of an closed-form dynamics description of a robot arm from its recursive-form description. And then we derive the closed-form realization of Walker's scheme applied to manipulators having no kinematic loop. We clarify the difference between the Walker's scheme and Slotine's and evaluate the convergence under the controllers.

Closed form interaction surfaces for nonlinear design codes of RC columns with MC 90

  • The closed form solution of the equilibrium equations in the ultimate design of reinforced concrete sections under biaxial bending is presented. The stresses in the materials are described by the Model Code 1990 equations. Computation of the integral equations is performed generally in terms of all variables. The deformed shape of the section in the ultimate conditions is defined by Heaviside functions. The procedure is convenient for the use of mathematical manipulation programs and the results are easily included into nonlinear analysis codes. The equations developed for rectangular sections can be applied for other sections, such as T, L, I for instance, by decomposition into rectangles. Numerical examples of the developed model for rectangular sections and composed sections are included.

  • in this paper the design procedure of three phase voltage source inverter output filter is described. The 'd' axis transfer function of the filter output voltage to the load current is described with the capacitor value and the system time constant including the controller. This means that the relation between the filter capacitor value and the system time constant is given as the closed form. By using the above closed form the capacitor value can be calculated with the system time constant is given as the closed,. form the capacitor value can be calculated with the system time constant which can be implemented practically not using the try and error method. And as the effect of the load is connected.

유리 B$\acute{e}$zier 곡선과 곡면의 호도그래프 (The Closed Form of Hodograph of Rational Bezier curves and Surfaces)

  • The hodograph, which are usually defined as the derivative of parametric curve or surface, is useful far various geometric operations. It is known that the hodographs of Bezier curves and surfaces can be represented in the closed form. However, the counterparts of rational Bezier curves and surface have not been discussed yet. In this paper, the equations are derived, which are the closed form of rational Bezier curves and surfaces. The hodograph of rational Bezier curves of degree n can be represented in another rational Bezier curve of degree 2n. The hodograph of a rational Hazier surface of degree m×n with respect to a parameter can be also represented in rational Bezier surface of degree 2m×2n. The control points and corresponding weight of the hodographs are directly computed using the control points and weights of the given rational curves or surfaces.

  • In this paper. the design procedure of the inverter output filter is described. The transfer function of the filter output voltage to the load current is described with the capacitor value and the system time constant including the controller. This means that the relation between the filter capacitor value and the system time constant is given as the closed form. By using the above closed form. the capacitor value can be calculated with the system time constant which can be implemented practically not using the try and error method. And as the effect of the load current to the voltage distortion can be calculated from the closed form, it can be verified how much the voltage distortion is effected when the nonlinear load is connected.

  • A new controller design algorithm based on the Hessenberg form for linear control systems has een proposed. The controller is composed of the dynamic compensator and the state feedback (dynamic state feedback). The algorithm gives a simple way to assign the eigenstructure (eigenvalues and eigenvectors) of the closed loop system and it also provides a method to assign the frequency shapes near the corner frequencies of the closed loop transfer function matrix. Because of this property, the algorithm is called the independent frequency shape control (IFSC) method.

  • The pultruded structural shapes are usually composed of thin-walled plate elements. Because the composite material has relatively low elastic moduli, the design of pultruded compression members may not be governed by the material strength limit state but by the stability limit state such as the local buckling or the global buckling. Therefore, the stability limit state must be checked to design pultruded columns. In this research, the local buckling analysis of pultruded I-shape column was conducted for various composite materials using the closed-form solution. To establish the design guidelines for the local buckling of pultruded I-shape compression members, the simplified form of equation to find the local buckling coefficient of pultruded I-shape column was proposed as a function of mechanical properties and the width ratio of plate components using the results obtainde by the closed-form solution. In order to verify the validity of proposed solution, the results obtained by the proposed approximate solution were compared with those of the closed-form solution and the experimental results.

제로 위상을 갖는 광대역 저역통과 MAXFLAT FIR 필터 설계를 위한 새로운 폐쇄형 전달 함수 (A New Closed-form Transfer Fuction for the Design of Wideband Lowpass MAXFLAT FIR filters with Zero Phase)

  • 일반적으로 기존의 선형 위상을 갖는 저역통과 MAXFLAT FIR 필터 설계 방법들은 폐쇄형 전달함수의 특성으로 인하여 하프 주파수 대역 $(0{\leq}w{\leq}{\pi}/2)$에서 이득 응답을 갖는다. 더욱이 주파수 영역에서 MAXFLAT과 선형 위상 특성에 도달하기 위해 추정 알고리즘을 사용하기 때문에 설계 필터들은 저지대역에서의 리플 에러, 완만한 차단감쇠, 위상 및 그룹지연 그리고 부정확한 차단주파수와 같은 문제점들을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위하여 제로 위상의 광대역 이득 응답을 갖는 MAXFLAT FIR 저역통과 필터 설계를 위한 새로운 수학적인 폐쇄형 전달함수를 제안하였다. 더욱이, 제안된 폐쇄형 전달함수는 임의의 차단 주파수를 포함한 MAXFLAT 조건들을 이용하여 새롭게 유도한 일반화한 공식들로 쉽게 실현됨이 증명되었다. 따라서 제안방식은 간단하고 빠른 설계에 적합하다. 결론적으로 제안된 설계 기술은 제로 위상과 광대역 이득 응답을 갖는 MAXFLAT FIR 저역통과 필터 실현이 가능하며, 설계된 필터들은 모두 250dB가 넘는 최대 차단 감쇠를 갖는 것을 알 수가 있다.

Characteristics of Optical Current Sensors by Sensor Design

  • This paper will suggest that the 1 cross orthogonal loop type sensor improves on the orthogonal loop form sensor-head, which is available a calibration of the linear birefringence, when a fiber optic current sensor was composed. An output characteristics of the 1 cross orthogonal loop form, a general closed loop form, the orthogonal loop form are compared by the IEC(International Electrotechnical Commission) 60044-8 standard, and the state of polarization is compared with three forms. As a result, when the closed loop form was changed to the orthogonal loop form, retardation decreased 15.3[%]. When the closed loop form was changed to the 1 cross orthogonal loop type, the retardation decreased 33.8[%]. As a result of the Faraday Effect measurement, the 1 cross orthogonal loop form has the highest output characteristic and the lowest error ratio. It met the 0.5 class of the IEC 60044-8 standard. Thus, in application of the 1cross orthogonal loop form, the possibility to develop high reliability fiber optic current sensors that have a high output and stable error ratio rises is increased.
