AIS용 전력 증폭기 모듈의 새로운 출력 제어 회로 설계 및 제작 (The Novel Control Circuit Design and Implementation for an AIS Power Amplifier Module)

  • 연안에서 선박의 안전한 항행과 관제를 위해 선박간 또는 선박과 관제소간의 항행정보를 교환할 수 있도록 하는 AIS(Automatic Identification System)는 운용 방식(Low setting, High setting)에 따라 서로 다른 송신 출력 크기를 가지며, 1 ms(Transmitter Setting Time)안에 각각의 최종 출력 크기 의 20% 이내로 도달하도록 하는 동작 성능을 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 AIS의 송신 출력 특성에 부합할 수 있도록 전력 증폭기 모듈에 적절한 궤환 회로를 제안하고 이를 설계, 제작하였다.

  • Generally, design of feedback circuit for stable system is performed by pole-zero compensation. For the purpose of reliable and stable closed loop system, the compensator would be designed basing upon the analysis of dynamic characteristics. This paper presents analyzed results of dynamic characteristics of the boost input type ZVS converter using active-clamp circuit. The simulated results by using Matlab and the measured results by using HP4194A are presented.

  • This paper describes a gate drive circuit for series connected IGBTs in high voltage applications. The proposed control criterion of the gate circuit is to actively limit the voltages during switching transients, while minimizing switching transient and losses. In order to achieve the control criterion, an analog closed loop control scheme is adopted. The performance of gate drive circuit is examined experimentally by the series connection of three IGBTs with conventional snubber circuits. The experimental results show the voltage balancing by an active control under wide variation in loads and imbalance conditions.

  • This paper presents the analyzed results of dynamic characteristics including steady state characteristics of the boost input type ZVS converter using the active clamp circuit by the state space averaging method. From the results, it can be seen that the converter has the 5th order transfer functions and the stable closed loop characteristic is obtained by using the compensated error amplifier with 2-pole and 1-zero. The validity of all analyzed results are verified by measurement.

  • Having very small linear displacement, piezoelectric actuators have been restricted in robotic application as positioning devices. In this paper, a mechanical amplifier was developed to enhance the displacement of piezoelectric actuator and the corresponding driving circuit was designed. This equipment was integrated as a robotic wrist having 2 D.O.F micropositioning capability. Each joint was analysed in mechanical and dynamic view points. Experimental result showed that this device has Some hysteresis but could be used as vibratory robotic wrist with relatively high frequency. For more fine positioning control, a closed loop approach must be taken into account.

CDI시스템의 출력발생향상을 위한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Research to Improve the Output Characteristic of CDI System)

  • This paper proposes a new circuit for the CDI system to have a constant ignition power at the engine speed range of 500 to 7500 rpm and the battery voltage range of 12 to 16 volts in the 4-cylinder automobile. The proposed CDI system has a closed-loop with a PWM DC-DC converter controlled by the error signal between capacitor voltage and reference voltage. In order to decrease the capacitor charging time, the primary winding of ignition coil is made to be shorted during capacitor charging. An experimental suystem is fabricated and the results obtained thereof are found to be satisfactory.

  • 본 논문에서는 Switched-Capacitor 지연 기법의 새로운 고해상도 DPWM 발생기를 사용한 Dynamic-Response-Free SMPS를 제안한다. 제안된 회로는 Switched-Capacitor 지연 기법을 이용한 DPWM 발생기의 내부 커패시터 전압 기울기를 제어하는 방식으로 DPWM의 duty ratio를 결정한다. 제안된 회로는 컨버터의 피드백 전압과 기준전압을 비교하여 DPWM 발생기의 내부 캐패시터에 충방전되는 전류량을 제어하는 방식으로 출력전압 tracking이 가능하다. 따라서 제안된 회로는 기존 closed loop 제어 방식의 SMPS들에서 문제점이 되고 있는 동적 응답특성을 고려할 필요가 없으며, 출력 전압에 overshoot/undershoot로 인한 ringing 현상이 발생하지 않는다는 큰 장점을 가진다. 제안된 회로는 1MHz~10MHz까지 스위칭주파수를 사용자가 선택할 수 있으며, 100MHz의 내부 제어 동작 주파수로 10MHz 최대 스위칭 주파수(DPWM) 발생이 가능하다. 100MHz의 내부 제어 동작 주파수를 사용하여 10MHz 스위칭 주파수 발생시 소모되는 내부 회로의 최대 전류는 2.7mA이며, 출력 버퍼를 포함한 전체 시스템의 전류 소모는 15mA이다. 제안된 회로는 0.125%의 DPWM duty ratio 해상도를 가지고 부하에 최대 1A까지 전류공급이 가능하며, 최대 리플 전압은 8mV이다. 동부하이텍 BCD $0.35{\mu}m$ 공정 파라미터를 이용해 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 제안된 회로의 동작을 검증하였다.

Phase Shift Control for Series Active Voltage Quality Regulators

  • A phase shift algorithm based on the closed-loop control of dc-link voltage implemented on a series active voltage quality regulator (AVQR) is proposed in this paper. To avoid pumping-up the dc-link voltage, a general phase shift compensation strategy is applied. The relationships among the operation variables are discussed in detail, which is very important for guiding the design of both the main circuit and the control system. Then on the basis of an investigation of the dc-link voltage pumping-up from viewpoint of the active power flow, a novel phase shift control method based on the closed-loop of the dc-link voltage is proposed. This method can adjust the phase of the output voltage gradually and automatically according to the dc-link voltage variation without introducing a phase jump. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified through simulations of a single-phase 5kVA prototype and laboratory experiments on both a single-phase 5kVA and a three-phase 15kVA prototype.

Half Load-Cycle Worked Dual Input Single Output DC/AC Inverter

  • A novel half load-cycle worked dual input single output (DISO) DC/AC inverter is presented. The basic circuit consists of a dual buck regulator, which works in continuous current mode. The working principle of DISO DC/AC inverter has been used. The control method applied for half load-cycle worked DISO DC/AC inverter has been studied. The control effects of the open-loop proportional control and closed-loop proportional-integral control are compared by using PSIM software. The parameters are adopted in the realistic simulation and experiment test. Moreover, the waveforms, such as voltage of modulation reference signal and output voltage, were given. The simulation and experiment results proved that the half load-cycle worked DISO DC/AC inverter could achieve good performance, gain a line frequency of 50 Hz, and verify the correctness of theoretical analysis.

  • It is widely noted that pressure feedback systems have been devised to damp the fluid resonance effectively in precision speed control-for large inertia system. A compensation technique preserving the natural output disturbance discrimination characteristics at lower frequencies is proposed The load pressure across positive displacement acceleration. The technique involves feeding back load differential pressure, sensed by pressure transducers, though a simple analog compensatory circuit (high pass filter). The effectiveness of the damping is determined by the filter time donstant and loop gain. Nonlinear total hydraulic simulation results verify the possibility of linear model predictions of extending the closed loop bandwidth beyond the uncompensated frequency.
