  • The aim of this study was to verify an E-driving system of a 44 kW-class electric tractor using agricultural workload data. Workload data were acquired during field test (plow tillage, rotary tillage, loader operation, field driving, asphalt driving) using a conventional tractor with a load measurement system. These workload data were converted to data of a 44 kW-class tractor based on the load factor of the engine. These data were used to verify the design of the E-driving system of an electric tractor. High-load operations such as plow tillage, rotary tillage, and loader operation could be performed at stage L and stage M. High-speed operation (asphalt driving) could be effectively performed at stage H using a rated rotational speed of the motor. As a result, the E-driving system of the electric tractor was possible to perform all major agricultural operations according to gear stages of range shift. Based on results of this research, we plan to develop an electric tractor equipped with an E-driving system and conduct research on actual vehicle verification in the future.

  • The UML(Unified Modeling Language) Class Diagram which is a part of structure of UML is fit for Object Modeling, and more recently, as the appearance of UXF(UML eXchange Format) UML Class Diagram by itself, can be exchanged in many other different system document. So this paper suggest the conversion system from UML Class Diagram to XML DTD. As this we can easily transformation and saving the UML Class Diagram that is the standard of Modeling Language to XML document which is so reusable. Also it can give a flexible method for the representation to the logical structure of document in various way because of converting XML DTD.

  • Let A(p) be the class of functions $f\;:\;z^p\;+\;\sum\limits_{j=1}^{\infty}a_jz^{p+j}$ analytic in the open unit disc E. Let, for any integer n > -p, $f_{n+p-1}(z)\;=\;z^p+\sum\limits_{j=1}^{\infty}(p+j)^{n+p-1}z^{p+j}$. We define $f_{n+p-1}^{(-1)}(z)$ by using convolution * as $f_{n+p-1}\;*\;f_{n+p-1}^{-1}=\frac{z^p}{(1-z)^{n+p}$. A function p, analytic in E with p(0) = 1, is in the class $P_k(\rho)$ if ${\int}_0^{2\pi}\|\frac{Re\;p(z)-\rho}{p-\rho}\|\;d\theta\;\leq\;k{\pi}$, where $z=re^{i\theta}$, $k\;\geq\;2$ and $0\;{\leq}\;\rho\;{\leq}\;p$. We use the class $P_k(\rho)$ to introduce a new class of multivalent analytic functions and define an integral operator $L_{n+p-1}(f)\;\;=\;f_{n+p-1}^{-1}\;*\;f$ for f(z) belonging to this class. We derive some interesting properties of this generalized integral operator which include inclusion results and radius problems.

  • The present study was undertaken in an attempt to see if the segregation frequency of a third chromosome was changed by changing the sex chromosome which were free of SD in the second chromosome. The eight genotype males having different sex chromosome constitution each were constructed by appropriate matings and the two standard laboratory stocks of Drosophila melanogaster, e and se were used as the third chromosome recessive markers for the present experiment. The results of the present investigation are given below: 1. The k values which are the proportion of the se third chromosomes recovered among progeny flies from the mating of se/e males to e females were highly signiicantly different among the four genotypes and between the two sexes, and the interaction of genotype and sex was significantly different. Thus the setregation frequency of the se third chromosome in the male, when made heterozygous with the e third chromosome, was dependent upon the sex chromosome constitution. 2. Both of the k(Woman) and the k(man) remains roughly constant among genotypes. 3. The sex ratio o the se progeny class was highly significantly heterogeneous among the four genotypes but it was homogeneous for the e progeny class. 4. The values of the k(man) and the sex ratio of the se progeny class, on the average, were higher than that of the k(Woman) and of the e progeny class, respectively. 5. Those phenomena suggest that some sort of prezygotic selection could be operating such that the combination of the e third chromosome and the Y chromosome tends to be eliminated before fertilization. This tendency argues for a re-examination of the viability estimations of Drosophila melanogaster.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of Parent Effectiveness Training (P. E. T.) on (1) parental awareness and verbal control patterns of mothers and (2) the relationship between parental awareness and verbal control patterns of mothers. The subjects were 43 mothers whose children were in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades in one of two elementary schools in the City of Seoul. Mothers who participated in a P. E. T. class were assigned either to an experimental or a control group. Mothers in the experimental group received P. E. T. during the study; those in the control group received it after the study. Instruments were the Parental Awareness Interview (Newberger, 1980) and the revised Verbal Control Patters (Gumperz, 1973) for mothers. The data were analyzed by t-tests and Pearson's correlations. The results showed that (1) P. E. T. influenced parental awareness of mothers, and this change was maintained one month after completion of the P. E. T. class. (2) Mothers' verbal control patterns were changed by P. E. T. Specifically, mother' imperative and positional verbal control patterns decreased while personal verbal control patterns increased after P. E. T. (3) P. E. T. was negativeiy related to mother's imperative and positional verbal control patterns but positively related to personal verbal control patterns.

  • This study investigated the academic achievement of science and high school students according to the characteristics of R&E activities in mathematics and science. In addition, based on the survey results, the correlation between R&E activity characteristics and mathematics and science academic achievement was studied through correlation analysis and factor analysis between subjects. There was a difference in academic achievement in mathematics and science according to the characteristics of the R&E activity area, and the experience of R&E activity was found to be closely related to the academic achievement of related subjects. Depending on the area of R&E activity, mathematical and scientific academic achievement was found to be two factors: mathematical logic and natural understanding. Natural understanding factors significantly influenced students' academic achievement in mathematics, physics, and life sciences, and mathematical logic factors significantly influenced the academic achievement of students in chemistry and earth science subjects. In particular, mathematical logic ability was concentrated in excellent physics class students, and natural understanding ability was concentrated in excellent life science class students. Since the characteristics of the R & E activity area greatly influence the academic achievement of mathematics and science, it will significantly contribute to the selection and operation of the R & E activity area of science high school students.

  • To survey trail damage and vegetational change around trail at Bukhan Mountain National Park in Korea, field survey was executed over Bukhan mountain district during August, 1987. Trail damage was surveyed for he section of 7.18km from Ui valley to Jeongnung valley in which user's density was high. Ground vegetation was surveyed with a belt-transect method from trail edge to forest and edge species were surveyed with a belt method along trail edge. Interrelation between trail damage and user's density was not dear. Damage class II of trail showed 23.9% of the surveyed section and class III showed 8.0% and class II and III of natural trail showed 19.7% and those of facilitated trail showed 12.3%. The length of damage class II and III requiring readjustment were estimated as 3.65 km and 1.22km from the main trail course of 15.3km at Bukhan mountain district. In case of no intervention to forest by users, vegetational change around trails was appeared up to 6-8 m from trailside. But in case of intervention to forest by users, vegetational change was not coincident with the change of soil hardness and was diverse locally. Quercus mongolica, Lespedeza cyrtobotrya and Rbo-dodendron mucronulatum were appeared as Raunkiaer frequency class E, and Weigela subsessilis. Lespedeza maximowiczii, Rhododendron schlippenbachii and Sorbus alnifolid were appeared as class D at trail edge of ridge-Quercus mongolica was appeared as class E and Rhododenderon mucrounulatium. Stephanandra incisa were appeared as class D at trail edge of midslope. Rhododenron mucronulatum. Lespedeza maximowiczii and Stepanandra incisa were appeared as class D at trail edge of valley. Lespedeza cyrtobotrya. Lespedeza maximowiczii and Stephanandra incisa were appeared as class D at trail edge of valley beside motorway.

  • The relative class number $H_d(f)$ of a real quadratic field $K=\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{m})$ of discriminant d is the ratio of class numbers of $O_f$ and $O_K$, where $O_K$ denotes the ring of integers of K and $O_f$ is the order of conductor f given by $\mathbb{Z}+fO_K$. In a recent paper of A. Furness and E. A. Parker the relative class number of $\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{m})$ has been investigated using continued fraction in the special case when $(\sqrt{m})$ has a diagonal form. Here, we extend their result and show that there exists a conductor f of relative class number 1 when the continued fraction of $(\sqrt{m})$ is non-diagonal of period 4 or 5. We also show that there exist infinitely many real quadratic fields with any power of 2 as relative class number if there are infinitely many Mersenne primes.
