In this study, we examined whether the intention to choose varies according to the experience of the regret of consumers when experiencing a failure in the status quo or non-status quo, and how self-compassion plays a moderating role in this relationship. A experiment was conducted to achieve the purpose of the study. First, this study also confirmed that regret was a mediator between dissatisfaction with choice outcomes and behavioral intentions. Second, like previous studies, this study confirmed the effect of status quo in general. However, it can be seen that the effect depend on self-compassion. Or, the regrets of those with high self-compassion and their future behavioral intentions did not change significantly whether it was wrong due to maintaining on or changing of the status quo. On the other hand, those with low self-compassion showed the bigger differences, so they were typically showing the status quo effect.
This study utilized the Giorgi's phenomenological analysis to understand the rearing experiences of the single adolescent parent. The study consisted of eight single parents living in the local community. The single parents had given birth during the ages between 16 and 24 and were currently rearing children between 6 months and 11 years of age. The results of the research consisted of 140 meanings, 34 subcategories, and 7 structure factors. The final structure factors consisted of 'onset as an escape from the unfulfilling reality', 'conflict upon unexpected choice situation', 'difficulties of starting and adapting to single adolescent parenting', 'brutal realities of at home single parenting', 'search for the best parenting role for the young parent', 'changes and growth associated with discovering one's self identity as a single parent', and 'concerns and wishes for a better life of the single adolescent parent'. Based on the results, discussions and suggestions to better understand the experiences of the single adolescent parent with anticipations for organized institutional aid and changes of the social attitude have been proposed.

Autonomous vehicles can significantly reduce accidents due to 'driver's carelessness', which occupies the majority of causes for traffic accidents, but they may fail to avoid traffic accidents due to unexpected situations, such as "trolley dilemma", vehicle defects and road defects. Therefore in situations Autonomous vehicles need to be made ethical choices. This study assumes that Autonomous vehicles can not avoid traffic accidents due to unexpected sink holes. In this situation, the traffic accident costs was analyzed for the ethical choices of Autonomous vehicles. In the process, Autonomous vehicles were made to choose one of three ethical choices : (1) Egoism with priority on passenger safety, (2) Deontology for minimizing human damages, (3) Utilitarianism with minimizing traffic accident costs. As a result of the analysis, egoism had the highest traffic accident costs, and deontology for minimizing human damages had the lowest traffic accident costs.
Background: Recent studies about completely displaced midshaft clavicle fractures have reported that their nonunion/malunion rates were significantly higher in conservatively treated patients compared to surgically treated patients. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the factors associated with treatment decisions for midshaft clavicle fractures and also the factors that affect patient satisfaction with their treatment choice. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the records of 75 patients who had been diagnosed with a midshaft clavicle fracture and were treated conservatively at a single institution between March 1, 2013, and December 31, 2014. Their medical records were reviewed to investigate the severity of the initial vertical displacement. A telephone survey was carried out to identify the presence of any patient-perceived deformity and determine if the patient eventually underwent surgery and whether the patient would prefer surgery if the injury recurred. Results: Significantly more patients with vertical displacement ≥100% (9/28) eventually underwent surgery compared to patients with vertical displacement <100% (3/32, p=0.028). Patients with vertical displacement ≥100% (13/28) were significantly more likely to prefer surgery compared to patients with vertical displacement <100% (7/32, p=0.044). Among the conservatively treated patients, nine of 32 participants with a patient-perceived deformity and one of 16 without a patient-perceived deformity responded that they would prefer to receive surgery in same situation in the future (p=0.079). Conclusions: Patients with a midshaft clavicle fracture with vertical displacement of ≥100% may eventually require surgical treatment. When conservative treatment is carried out, the long-term patient results may be unsatisfactory due to perceived residual deformities.
For count responses, the situation of excess zeros often occurs in various research fields. Zero-inflated model is a common choice for modeling such count data. Bayesian inference for the zero-inflated model has long been recognized as a hard problem because the form of conditional posterior distribution is not in closed form. Recently, however, Pillow and Scott (2012) and Polson et al. (2013) proposed a Pólya-Gamma data-augmentation strategy for logistic and negative binomial models, facilitating Bayesian inference for the zero-inflated model. We apply Bayesian zero-inflated negative binomial regression model to longitudinal pharmaceutical data which have been previously analyzed by Min and Agresti (2005). To facilitate posterior sampling for longitudinal zero-inflated model, we use the Pólya-Gamma data-augmentation strategy.
In order to examine the cultural vicious cycle of gender representation in online educational content, this paper reviewed the top five popular webtoons of inamootoon (EBStoon), Korea's first children's webtoon platform. The patterns of appearance representation that distinguish character's gender, the desire and psychology of characters according to gender, and their functions in the work were critically analyzed from a feminist perspective. In most of the works, the appearance of characters often follows gender stereotypes. It appears that women have long hair and wear dresses while men have short hair. On the other hand, the gender characteristics in terms of psychology and function show the aspect of breaking gender's cliche. The gender proportion of the protagonists is almost the same. Regardless of gender, they function as solvers or rescuers, bravely and wisely overcoming the problem situation. By the way, it is interesting that in representing the main character's gender, the weaker the gender stereotypes, the more popular the work among the readers. This fact suggests that the critical acceptance and choice of young readers can break the cultural vicious cycle of gender representation.
PURPOSE. The purpose of this study was to investigate the misfit and screw preload at the implant abutment connection of implant supported fixed dental prosthesis with cantilever (ICFDP) manufactured using different digital manufacturing techniques and to compare the screw preload before and after cyclic loading. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Mandibular jaw model with four intra-foraminal implants was scanned using digital scanner. Stereolithography file was used to design a framework with nonengaging (NE) abutments and 10 mm cantilever distal to one terminal implant. Five frameworks were constructed using combined digital-conventional techniques (CAD-cast), and five frameworks were constructed using three-dimensional printing (3DP). Additional CAD-cast framework was constructed in a way that ensures passive fit (PF) to use as control. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) measured the implant abutment connection misfit. Sixty screws were used on the corresponding frameworks. Screws were torqued and pre-cyclic loading reverse torque value (RTV) was recorded. Frameworks were subjected to 200,000 loading cycles with a loading point 9 mm from the center of terminal implants adjacent to the cantilever and post-cyclic loading RTVs were recorded. RESULTS. Microscopic readings showed significant differences between frameworks. PF demonstrated the lowest measurements of 16.04 (2.6) ㎛ while CAD-cast demonstrated the highest measurements of 29.2 (3.1) ㎛. In all groups, RTVs were significantly lower than the applied torque. Post-cyclic loading RTV was significantly lower than pre-cyclic loading RTV in PF and 3DP frameworks. Differences in RTVs between the three manufacturing techniques were insignificant. CONCLUSION. Although CAD-cast and three-dimensionally printed (3DP) both produce frameworks with clinically acceptable misfit, 3DP might not be the technique of choice for maintaining screw's preload stability under an aggressive loading situation.

COVID-19 has caused a global disturbance, increased anxiety, and panic, eliciting diverse reactions. While its cure has not been discovered, new infection cases and fatalities are being recorded daily. The focus of the present study was to analyze the reaction of gifted undergraduate students on social media during the quarantine period of the COVID-19. A special group of gifted students, who joined the program of attracting and nurturing talents at the University of Jeddah, University students as were the target sample of this study. To analyze online reactions during the pandemic; the choice of university students was arrived at as they are perceived to be gifted academically. Hence, the analysis of the impacts on their behavior on social media use is imperative. This study presented accurate and consistent data on the effects of social media using Twitter platforms on gifted students during the quarantine occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. The behavior of learners due to during the use of social media was extensively explored and results analyzed. The study was carried out between April and May 2020 (quarantine period in Saudi Arabia) to establish whether the online behavior of gifted students reflects positive or negative feelings. The methods used in conducting this study the research were online interviews and scraping participants' Twitter accounts (where most of the online activities and studies take place). The study employed the Activity theory to analyze the behavior of gifted students on social media. The sample size used was 60 students, and the analysis of their behavior was based on Activity theory Overall, the results showed proactive, positive behavior for coping with a challenging situation, educating society, and entertaining. Finally, this study recommends investing in gifted students due to their valuable problem-solving skills that can help handle global pandemics efficiently.
Purpose - This paper analyzes all possible issues that need to be considered in case disputes occur with regard to force majeure in international commercial contracts through the comparative study between English and Korean during COVID-19. Design/methodology - This paper belongs to the field of explanatory legal study, which aims to explain and test whether the choice of law is linked to the conditions that occur in the reality of judicial practice. The juridical approach involves studying and examining theories, concepts, legal doctrines, and legislation that are related to the problem. Findings - English law does not permit general economic impracticability to qualify as a valid force majeure event. If a party asserts that they were prevented from performing the contract, the courts will examine this strictly. Many commercial contracts in a broad range of sectors and industries are chosen by parties to be governed by English law. With COVID-19, there have been discussion of parties being released from performance as a result of force majeure. Meanwhile, under Korean law, a force majeure event should be unforeseeable and beyond a party's control. Since COVID-19 is a known event for future contracts, to avoid the risk that a similar situation in the future is deemed foreseeable and under a party's control, parties must ensure that such a risk is properly addressed in a contract. Therefore, it is necessary to have a new clause to cover a pandemic. Originality/value - In light of the ongoing unexpected and uncertain economic impacts COVID-19 is expected to bring to the world, it is anticipated that companies will experience an increased number of claims involving force majeure around the world, including English and Korea. As such, taking proactive steps to assess the applicable legal principles, including the concept of force majeure of contract, will help companies be prepared for the financial or legal implications of COVID-19. In this regard, it would be advisable for companies and businesses to take specific actions.
The fourth industrial revolution is affecting the industry as a whole, and the current logistics industry is coexisting with crises and opportunities. As part of overcoming this situation, the online platformization of the logistics market has recently been rapidly taking place, and the growth of e-commerce around developed countries has emerged as a demand for flexible freight services that can send and receive cargo anywhere and anytime at appropriate cost. However, the logistics industry has not been able to change rapidly in line with the demands of the market as it is immersed in traditional transportation transactions. Thus, the digital transformation of the freight market has become urgent to address problems such as uncertainty over traditionally closed and conservative freight market transaction processes and the lack of reliability caused by information asymmetry. Therefore, innovative domestic and foreign companies are attempting to establish a new way of transporting cargo, especially a marketplace way of connecting suppliers and consumers. Current status analysis and case studies were conducted through existing literature surveys, and prior research on freight market place selection factors was previewed, and the selection factors were stratified into five upper and 19 lower factors. Through this study, it is expected that improvements for sustainable growth of freight marketplace companies will be derived and that it will be a basic study of establishing management strategies through marketplace operation and quality control. In addition, it is deemed that the priority of customer requirements can be actively accepted, providing an opportunity to actively respond and strengthen corporate competitiveness.
