보육교사가 지각하는 학부모와 의사소통의 어려움이 영유아와 상호작용에 미치는 영향: 보육교사의 자아존중감의 매개효과 (Child Care Teachers' Difficulties Communicating with Parents and How It Affects Teacher-Child Interactions: The Mediating Effects of Teachers' Self-Esteem)

  • Objective: This study examined the mediating effects of child care teachers' self-esteem in the relationship between teachers' difficulties communicating with parents and teacher-child interactions. Methods: A total of 450 child care teachers answered questionnaires based on three research variables. Data were analyzed using SEM. Results: First, child care teachers' difficulties communicating with parents had a direct effect on teacher-child interactions. That is, child care teachers who experienced more difficulties communicating with parents showed more negative teacher-child interactions. Second, child care teachers' difficulties communicating with parents had an indirect effect on teacher-child interactions through teachers' self-esteem. In other words, when child care teachers experienced more difficulties communicating with parents, their self-esteem was lower, which led to increased negative teacher-child interactions. Conclusion/Implications: This study highlights the importance of effective communication between child care teachers and parents. In addition, these findings contribute to a better understanding of the mechanism by which child care teachers' difficulties communicating with parents influence teacher-child interactions.

육아지원 (A Study on the Policy for Supporting Child Care and Education in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is to review the characteristics of the policy for supporting child care and education in Korea. In order to suggest the theoretical and practical issues for child care and education policy, it is necessary to evaluate the existing policies. Based on the review of the literature, the legal system, and the policy, the child care support system in Korea is evaluated to be fragmentary and inconsistent. And Korean child care policy is a mixture of the conservative and the liberal one. In order to meet the needs of the family and children of Korea, more progress approach to child care policy is needed. The suggestions of this study are to have Korean government give more weight on societal care of children, introduce children's allowance, integrating child care and education system and developing policy monitoring systems in Korea.

한국 보육의 역사 및 관련법과 현황 (History and Law of Child-care in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 보육사업의 성과와 과제를 조망하기 위한 보육백서 발간 작업의 일부로서 우리나라 보육의 역사와 보육관련 법들의 주요 특징을 알아보고, 보육현황을 소개함으로써 향후 발전적인 보육정책 방안을 모색하기 위한 정책적 기초자료를 구축하는데 목적을 둔다. 먼저 보육역사 부분에서는 1기 아동복리법 시기, 2기 유아교육진흥법 시기, 3기 영유아보육법 초기, 4기 영유아보육법 전면 개정 이후 등으로 구분하여 전반적인 보육사업의 흐름을 고찰하였다. 둘째, 보육 관련 법 부분에서는 기본법인 영유아보육법과 보육관련법인 유아교육법과 아동복지법 그리고 기타 관련법으로 보건복지부와 그 소속기관 직제, 남녀고용과 일 가정 양립지원에 관한 법률, 장애아동복지지원법, 사회복지사업법에서의 영유아보육 관련 내용을 열거하였다. 셋째, 보육현황 부분에서는 일반 현황, 어린이집 운영 및 보육아동 현황, 어린이집 유형 별 현황 등으로 나누어 살펴보았다.

보육정책의 실태와 과제 (The Status and Challenges of Child Care Policy)

  • 본 연구는 문헌조사방법을 통해 보육정책의 현황을 정리하고, 문제점을 파악하여 향후 보육정책의 과제를 제시하는 것이다. 실태 분석을 통해 발견한 보육정책의 문제점은 0~2세 전 계층 무상 보육으로 인해 실수요계층인 맞벌이 가정의 이용이 어려운 점, 양육수당의 지원 대상에서 36개월 이상의 보육시설을 이용하지 않는 저소득층이 제외된 점, 보육시설 이용아동 대부분 국공립이 아닌 민간어린이집을 이용하므로 보육의 공공성 확보가 어려운 점 등이다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 향후 보육정책에서 국공립어린이집 확충으로 보육의 공공성을 확보하고, 양육수당을 현실화하고, 질 높은 영아전담 어린이집의 수를 늘리고, 시간제 보육서비스를 확대하고, 부모교육 및 상담 프로그램을 지원하는 것이 필요하다.

맞벌이 가정 영유아의 어린이집 이용시간에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting the Number of Hours Children Spent in Child Care Centers among Dual-working Families)

  • This study examined the factors affecting the number of hours spent in child care centers by children of dual-working families. Data for this study was collected by way of a survey that involved a total of 33 child care centers. A total of 465 families took part in the study. Child factors, parental factors, household factors, and child care center factors were included in the hierarchical regression model on which this study was based. The results of this study identified eight primary factors related to the number of hours spent in child care centers by children of dual working families, which were as follows: (1) children's engagement in extracurricular activities, (2) maternal working hours, (3) parents' preference for child care center as a non-parental care provider, (4) the number of children attending the child care center in the household, (5) the presence of adults other than parents in the household, (6) accessibility to the child care center, (7) the satisfaction with child care services, and (8) the primary purpose of child care center use.

유아기자녀를 둔 어머니의 종사상지위별 자녀돌보기 시간사용과 유료 자녀양육서비스 선택 (Mothers' Time Use in Child Care and Market Child Care Services Depending on Their Employment Status)

  • This study analysed the effect of mothers' work status on time use in child care and use of market child care services. There were two major questions: Do self-employed (and family worker without being paid) mothers have a flexible work schedule and so can they care her child(ren) well? If it is true, is the work status as self-employee related to non-market child care services? To answer these questions, 1,196 samples were selected from the Time Use Data of 1999, which had been administered by Korea National Statistical Office. Major results were as follows: First, a mother who is family workers without being paid made time to care children frequently more than wage earners. Second, according to regression analysis, mothers' work status was one of the important variables to explain child care activity frequency. Third, among categories of child caring ('physical caring', 'non-physical caring', and 'caring of the others'), mothers spent more frequently in 'caring of the others', and had higher probability to use market child care services. But the more frequently a mother made time in 'non-physical caring' for her child, the lower probability to choose market child care services. In conclusion, it was certain that self-employed mothers benefit from a flexible time schedule at work places. But the relationship of child care activity frequency with use of market child care services was inconsistent.

보육시설장의 리더십과 보육교사의 임파워먼트와의 관계 (The Relationship between the Leadership of Child Care Center Director and the Empowerment of Child Care Teachers)

  • This study sought to determine the mediating effect of followership in the relationship between the leadership of child care center director and empowerment as perceived by child care teachers. Data were collected from 294 child care teachers in child care centers located in four cities labeled A, B and C through a structured questionnaire. To describe data the Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis were computed. The level of child care center director's leadership which child care teacher perceived was 3.64 points in a scale of 5 points, child care teacher's empowerment was 3.50 points in a scale of 5 points and followership was 3.30 points in a scale of 5 points. COMMENT A positive correlations were found between leadership, empowerment and followership. Followership was shown to be a mediating variable between child care teachers' perceptions of leadership and empowerment. Furthermore, results also showed a strong relationship between the leadership of child-care center director and the child-care teachers' followership and empowerment, thus implying that the child-care teachers' followership is very important to increase the empowerment.

취업모의 자녀양육지원제도에 대한 인식 및 요구 (Working Mothers' Perception and Demand on Child Care Policy and Institution Supporting the Working Mothers)

  • This study surveyed the perception and demand for the child care policy and child care service of working mothers with children under age 6. The subjects were 266 working mothers in Seoul and Kyoung-Gi Province. Data were collected with the questionnaire method and analyzed by spss-win program, including median, mode, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The result of this study can be summarized as follows. (1) The working mothers considered both parents have the responsibility on child care and strongly demanded the national support on child care. (2) The working mothers prefered own mother and relatives to child care center as a carer of infants and toddlers, but prefered child care center for children age 3-5. (3) The working mothers demanded the increase of finantial support for family and child care center. (4) The working mothers focused on 'the security and care Program' and focused next on 'diet and health care program' in child care service. (5) The working mothers did not nearly know about the accreditation system of child care centers. This results suggest that the national and social support for child care service is an essential part in promoting children's and the working mothers' welfare.

서울형 어린이집 공인인증에 대한 보육시설 종사자의 인식연구 (A Study on the Child Care Providers' Perception on the Seoul-Type Child Care Accreditation System)

  • 본 연구에서는 서울형 어린이집 공인인증을 통과한 보육시설의 종사자를 대상으로 서울형 어린이집 공인인증에 대한 인식을 알아보았다. 이를 위해 시설장 69명과 보육교사 240명, 총 309명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 빈도분석, ${\chi}^2$ 검증을 이용하여 수집된 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 시설장과 교사 모두 서울형 어린이집 공인인증 시행의 주요 목적은 보육서비스에 대한 효과적인 질관리 시스템 마련이며, 서울형 어린이집의 인증 대상으로 가장 적합한 시설은 민간보육시설이고 다음은 가정보육시설이라고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 서울형 어린이집 공인인증을 준비하는 것이 보육시설 평가인증에 비해 쉽다는 응답이 높았으며, 서울형 어린이집 공인인증을 통해 국 공립과 민간보육시설 사이의 선호도 차이가 해소될 것을 시설장과 교사 모두 기대하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 서울형 어린이집의 운영체계에서 시설장은 맞춤보육서비스 평가 시 '계획서만 제출'하는 방식을, 교사는 '맞춤보육서비스 실시 후 평가'를 가장 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 안심보육서비스와 클린운영 영역에서는 시설장과 교사 모두 현재 제도에 대한 선호도가 높았다. 셋째, 서울형 어린이집 공인인증의 활성화를 위해 가장 필요한 것은 보육교사의 시간 외 수당에 대한 보완과 정부의 연속성 있는 보육정책이라는 응답이 높았다.

보육교사적성이 보육실습 스트레스 대처에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Aptitude of Child Care Teachers of Child Care Trainees on the Stress Coping)

  • 본 연구는 최근 보육교사에 대한 자질 및 적성이 재논의 되고 보육실습생의 실습관련도 재평가의 필요성이 제기됨에 따라 보육실습생의 보육교사적성이 보육실습스트레스 및 스트레스대처에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 보육실습생 268명을 대상으로 자료를 수집한 결과, 첫째, 보육실습스트레스와 스트레스대처는 학년에 따른 차이만 보였다. 둘째, 보육교사적성의 하위변인 중 영유아에 대한 친화력이 낮을수록 어린이집원장 및 지도교사와의 관계에서 스트레스가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보육교사적성 하위요인 가운데 창의성과 자기개발, 적극성, 긍정성이 높을수록 보육실습스트레스에 잘 대처하는 것으로 나타났다.
