Bangudae Petroglopys of the national treasure No. 285 located in elevation of 53 m to 57 m have been damaged by repetition of submergence and exposure due to the Sayeon-dam of EL.60 m constructed in down stream. In this study, as a preservation plan of the petroglyphs from the contact with water, the construction of eco-levee was suggested and its effect was investigated in the views of hydraulic engineering. It was designed to be located aside of 80 m from Bangudae Petroglyphs with the length of 440 m in streamwise direction, and it was need to construct a new channel maintaining the original hydraulic capacity and conveyance. Hydraulic characteristics such as water surface elevations and velocities near Bangudae Petroglyphs were measured after the eco-levee was installed in the hydraulic model with the scale of 1:50. It showed that there were not much changes of water surface elevations and velocities between sayeon-dam spillway EL. 60 m (Suggestion 1) and EL. 54 m (Suggestion 2). It was concluded the eco-levee could be made of natural materials like soil, pebble, gravel in terms of allowable velocity and shear stresses. The slope of water surface at Suggestion 2 was steeper, and velocities near Bangudae Petroglyphs were also faster than Suggestion 1. As the vorties occured at the left side in Suggestion 2, more detailed study is required.

Linear form of public works such as roads, railways and rivers, generally used as long work crossing administrative districts, can be several hundreds km length and narrow. These linear forms use SCM sheets, which do not include the quadrangle shape, to make a public announcement of topographical drawing in order to get the work approval. the Integrated measurement channel investigation and cadastral act that are established in 2009 apply the ITRF for the composition of design and construction books and coordinates of topographical map in order to get the work approval. However according to the article 5 of additional clause, while the cadastre is maintaining local coordinates, if there is a technical error in the content of the Public Announcement of Topographical Drawing that used the SCM, the question of responsibility of land borders and the efficacy or not of the announcement is raised as an administrative measure. After analysing the causes and enforcing coordinate conversion and correction taking into account linear form work's features, the result was reflected in the existing SCM. As a conclusion, the present study proposes the improvement of the procedures of the Public Announcement of Topographical Drawing.
The riverbed material survey is to investigate the particle size distribution, specific gravity, porosity, etc. as basic data necessary for river channel plan such as calculation of sediment transport and change of river bed. In principle, the survey spots are 1 km interval in the longitudinal direction of the river and 3 points or more in the 1 cross section. Therefore, depending on longitudinal length of the river to be investigated, the number of surveyed sites is very large, and the time and cost for the investigation are correspondingly required. This study is to compare the particle size analysis method with the volumetric method and the image analysis method in work efficiency and cost and to examine the applicability of the image analysis method. It was confirmed that the diameter of the equivalent circle converted by the image analysis method can be applied to the analysis of bed material particle size. In the gravel stream with a particle size of less than 10 cm and a large shape factor, the analytical result of the bed material by the image analysis method is accurate. However, when the shape factor decreases as the particle size increases, the error increases. In addition, analysis results of the work efficiency and cost of the volume method and the image analysis method showed a reduction of about 80%.

Steady state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) has been actively studied because of its short training time, relatively higher signal-to-noise ratio, and higher information transfer rate. There are two popular analysis methods for SSVEP signals: power spectral density analysis (PSDA) and canonical correlation analysis (CCA). However, the PSDA is known to be vulnerable to noise due to the use of a single channel. Although conventional CCA is more accurate than PSDA, it may not be appropriate for the real-time SSVEP-based BCI system when it has short time window length because it uses sinusoidal signals as references. Therefore, the two methods are not efficient for the real-time BCI system that requires a short TW and a high recognition accuracy. To overcome this limitation of the conventional methods, this paper proposes a frequency recognition method with a combination of CCA and PSDA using the difference between powers of canonical variables obtained from the results of CCA. Experimental results show that the performance of the combination of CCA and PSDA is better than that of CCA for the case of a short TW.

In this paper, we have examined electrical characteristics of LDO regulator according to the process variation using a 1 ${\mu}m$ 20 V high voltage CMOS process. The electrical analysis of LDO regulator have been performed with three kind of SPICE parameter sets (Typ : typical, FF : fast, SS : slow) by process variation which cause change of SPICE parameter such as threshold voltage and effective channel length of MOS devices. From simulation results, we confirmed that in case of SS type SPICE parameter set, the LDO regulator has 3.6 mV/V line regulation, 0.4 mV/mA load regulation and 0.86 ${\mu}s$ output voltage settling time. And in case of Typ type SPICE parameter set, the LDO regulatorhas 4.2 mV/V line regulation, 0.44 mV/mA load regulation and 0.62 ${\mu}s$ output voltage settling time. Finally, in the FF type SPICE parameter set, the LDO regulator has 7.0 mV/V line regulation, 0.56 mV/mA load regulation and 0.27 ${\mu}s$ output voltage settling time.

It is well known the fact that turbo lodes has better performance as the number of iteration and the interleaver size increases in the AWGN channel environment. However, as the number of iteration and the interleaver size are increased, it is required much delay and computation for iterative decoding, and caused the flattening effect phenomenon which is very litter BER performance improvement at the arbitrary SNR. In this paper, We proposed the new asymmetric turbo codes, which consist of parallel concatenated turbo codes that use mixed types of component codes with different not only constraint length but also generate polynomial and analyzed its BER performance for log-MAP decoding algorithm with frame size of 128, 256, 512 and 1024 bits, and coding rate of 1/3. As a results of simulation, proposed asymmetric turbo codes verify that its BER performance is superior to conventional symmetric turbo codes. It can be also observed that the flattening effect phenomenon is very reduced by applying the proposed asymmetric turbo codes. It gains respectively 1.7dB ~2.5dB and 2.0dB~2.5dB SNR improvements in the case of short frame(128, 256) and large frame(512, 1024) size for the BER $10_{-4}$>/TEX> region.

In this paper, two-dimensional numerical simulation of GaAs MESFFT with 0.7${\mu}m$ gate length is perfomed. Drift-diffusion model which consider that mobility is a function of local electric field, is used. As a discretization method, instead of FDM (finite difference method) and FEM (finite element method), the Control-Volume Formulation (CVF) is used and as a numerical scheme current hybrid scheme or upwind scheme is replaced by power-law scheme which is very approximate to exponential scheme. In the process of numerical analysis, Peclet number which represents the velocity ratio of drift and diffusion, is introduced. And using this concept a current equation which consider numerical scheme at the interface of control volume, is proposed. The I-V characteristics using the model and numerical method has a good agreement with that of previous paper by others. Therefore, it is confined that it may be useful as a simulator for GaAs MESFET. Besides I-V characteristics, the mechanism of both velocity saturation in drift-diffusion model is described from the view of velocity and electric field distribution at the bottom of the channel. In addition, the relationship between the mechanism and position of dipole and drain current, are described.

3-dimensional(3-D) simulations of ideal double-gate bulk FinFET were performed extensively and the electrical characteristics. were analyzed. In 3-D device simulation, we changed gate length($L_g$), height($H_g$), and channel doping concentration($N_b$) to see the behaviors of the threshold voltage($V_{th}$), DIBL(drain induced barrier lowering), and SS(subthreshold swing) with source/drain junction depth($X_{jSDE}$). When the $H_g$ is changed from 30 nm to 45nm, the variation gives a little change in $V_{th}$(less than 20 mV). The DIBL and SS were degraded rapidly as the $X_{jSDE}$ is deeper than $H_g$ at low fin body doping($1{\times}10^{16}cm^{-3}{\sim}1{\times}10^{17}cm^{-3}$). By adopting local doping at ${\sim}10nm$ under the $H_g$, the degradation could be suppressed significantly. The local doping also alleviated $V_{th}$ lowering by the shallower $X_{jSDE}\;than\;H_g$ at low fin body doping.

In this study, we develop a highly efficient conical-air diffuser that generates fine bubble. By inserting a sufficient number of aerotropic microorganisms with dissolved oxygen from an air diffuser and minimizing the air-channel blockages within the air diffuser, we expect to improve the efficiency and durability of the decomposition process for organic waste. To upgrade the conventional air diffuser, we perform experiments and numerical analysis to develop a conical-type that generates fine bubble, and which is free from nozzle blockage. We complement the air-diffuser design by numerically analyzing the internal air-flow pattern within the diffuser. Then, by applying the diffuser to a mockup bioreactor, we experimentally and numerically study the bubble behavior observed in the diffuser and the 2-phase fluid flow in the bioreactor. The results obtained include statistics of the cord length and increased velocity, and we investigate the mechanisms of the fluid-flow characteristics including bubble clouds. Throughout the study, we systemize the design procedures for the design of efficient air diffusers, and we visualize the fluid-flow patterns caused by bubble generation within the mockup bioreactor. These results will provide a meaningful basis for further study as well as the detection of oxygen transfer and fluid-flow characteristics in real-scale bio-reactors using sets of air diffusers.

The friction factor in a rod bundle and the loss coefficient at a spacer grid were examined. As a test section, 25 smooth rods, 9.5 mm in diameter and 2000 mm in length, were prepared and installed in a $5{\times}5$ square array in a square channel. In this case, the P/D (Pitch-to-Diameter ratio) was 1.35. In this work, plain (i.e., no mixing vanes), split-vane, and hybrid-vane spacer grids were tested. In a bare rod bundle (i.e., no spacer grid), the measured friction factors were in good agreement with the previous correlations. Among the spacer grids tested, the hybrid-vane spacer grid presented the largest friction factor in the rod bundle and loss coefficient. This may be because of the flow pattern change induced by large relative plugging of the flow cross section and mixing vane geometry. At Re=$5{\times}10^5$, the predicted loss coefficients of plain, splitvane, and hybrid-vane spacer grids were approximately 0.79, 0.80, and 0.88, respectively.
