  • The solar cell should be operated at the maximum power point every instant. Because this maximum power point is fluctuating due to the change in the insolation and temperature. In this paper, we propose a new maximum power' point tracker by using the microprocessor. The proposed step-down chopper system tracks always the maximum power point, regardless of the change in the insolation, temperature and load.

  • As a starting point of investigating what molecular dynamic simulations can reveal about the nature of atomic level of heating and cooling process, argon described by the LJ potential is considered. Stepwise heating and cooling of constant rates are simulated in the NPT (constant number, pressure and temperature) ensemble. Hysteresis is found due to the superheating and supercooling. Drastic change of volume and energy is involved with phase change, but the melting point can not be obtained by simply observing the changes of these quantities. Since liquid and solid phases can co-exist at the same temperature, Gibbs free energy should be calculated to find the temperature where the Gibbs free energy of liquid is equal to that of the solid since the equilibrium state is the state of minimum Gibbs free energy. The obtained melting temperature, $T^*=0.685$, is close to that of the experiment with only 2% error.

  • The effect of concentration fluctuations on the changes of azimuth and ellipticity are analytically obtained in a binary chiral liquid mixture, when the incident light is completely linearly polarized above (or below) the horizontal at 45°. The important results are as follows;(1) When the binary liquid is in the critical region far from the cr5itical point, the ellipticity change is proportional to isothermal compressibility factor and the fifth order of frequency and shows the logarithmic divergence. (2) In the case that the system is in the critical region far from the critical point, the azimuth change is solely due to the molecular contribution. As the system approaches to the critical point, the effect of fluctuations becomes important. If it is in the extreme close to the critical point, the term due to the concentration fluctuations is comparable to or larger than the molecular contribution.

  • When we estimate the optimal solution satisfy the objective function and subjective equation in the integer programming, The optimal solution of the objective function Z is decided by the positive integer at extreme point or revised extreme point in the convex set. The convex set is made up the linear subjective equation. The purpose of the paper is thus to establish a stepwise optimization in the integer programming model by estimating the variation △C/sub j/ of the constant term C/sub j/ in the linear objective function, after an application of the modified Branch & Bound method.

  • Denoising, registering, and detecting changes of 3D digital map are generally conducted by skilled technicians, which leads to inefficiency and the intervention of individual judgment. The manual post-processing for analyzing 3D point cloud data of construction sites requires a long time and sufficient resources. This study develops automation technology for analyzing 3D point cloud data for construction sites. Scanned data are automatically denoised, and the denoised data are stored in a specific storage. The stored data set is automatically registrated when the data set to be registrated is prepared. In addition, regions with non-homogeneous densities will be converted into homogeneous data. The change detection function is developed to automatically analyze the degree of terrain change occurred between time series data.

  • Knowing the time of the process change could lead to quicker identification of the responsible special cause and less process down time, and it could help to reduce the probability of incorrectly identifying the special cause. In this paper, we propose the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) for the process change point when a control chart is used in monitoring the parameters of a process in which the observations can be modeled as a IMA(1,1).

  • This study was carried out to investigate the influence of the various physiological function caused by brassiere wearing. The four experimental methods used in this study are as follows. For example, the Roentgen photographing, Body measurement by Sliding Gauge, the measurement of the Electrocardiogram and Blood Pressure. The results of the Electrocardiogram and Blood Pressure. The results of the investigation were as follows: 1. In experimental change by Sliding Gauge and Body measurement, The bust point was rised in order AB1>B2. The width of right and left bust point was decreased in order of A>B1>B2. According to, The supplementary effect of brassiere wearing was excellent in B2. 2. In the change of various organs by Roentgen photographing, The width of the chest and size of the heart were decreased in regular order of A>B1>B2. The diaphragm and the others were not showed change. 3. In the experimental result by measurement of the electrocardiogram, The interval of heart palpitation was decreased in order A>B1>B2 and the pulse frequency was similar. 4. In the experimental result by the blood pressure measurement, A had the highest blood pressure and B2 had the lowest pressure in all variables.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the spatial characteristics of business-type-changed parcel in the Hongik-University commercial area, from the view point of commercial gentrification. A commercial gentrification occurs through a business-type-change in a spatial basic unit (microscopic spatial unit such as parcel) of an area which has not been considered in relavent policies and research. So, this study analyzed the spatial characteristics of business-type-changed parcels using the Cox's proportional hazard regression model. The main results of this study are as follows. First, as new developments in the adjacent area occur, the business-type-change probability increases. Second, by the commercial area division, the business-type-change probability is different. Finally, the accessibility is better, the probability is higher. These results could suggest that a consideration of the spatial characteristics form microscopic viewpoint is necessary to understand the commercial gentrification. And these could be used as basic data for a gentrification diagnostic and management system, which can predict gentrification from the view point of business-type-change on the basis of a parcel.

  • This study is to analyse the timing of the structural change of price volatility and the asymmetry of price volatility during the period before and after the timing of the structural change of price volatility using Jeju Farming Olive Flounder's production area market price data from January 1, 2007 to June 30, 2013. The analysis methods of Quandt-Andrews break point test and Threshold GARCH model are employed. The empirical results of this study are summarized as follows: First, the result of Quandt-Andrews break point test shows that a single structural change in price volatility occurred on May 4, 2010 over the sample period. Second, during the period before structural change, daily price change rate has averagely positive value which means price increase, but during the period after structural change daily price change rate has averagely negative value which means price decrease. Also, daily volatility of price change rate during the period before structural change is higher than during the period after structural change. This indicates that price volatility decreases after structural change. Third, the estimation results of Threshold GARCH Model show that the volatility response against price increase is larger during the period after structural change than during the period before structural change. Also the result shows the volatility response against price decrease is larger during the period after structural change than during the period before structural change. And, irrespective of the timing of structural change, price increase has an larger effect on volatility than price decrease. This means volatility is asymmetric at price increase.

  • This study analyzed structural changes and asymmetry of price volatility during the period before and after a point of structural change in price volatility, using the Korean fresh common squid daily retail price data from January 1, 2004 to September 30, 2015. This study utilized the following analytical methods: the unit-root test was applied to ensure the stability of the data, the Quandt-Andrews breakpoint test was applied to find the point of structural change, and the Glosten-Jagannathan-Runkle GARCH and EGARCH models were applied to investigate the asymmetry of price volatility. The empirical results of this study are as follows. First, ADF, PP, KPSS and Zivot-Andrews tests showed that the daily retail price change rate of the Korean fresh common squid differentiated by logarithm was stable. Secondly, the ARIMA (2,1,2) model was selected by information criteria such as AIC, SC, and HQ. Thirdly, the Quandt-Andrews breakpoint test found that a single structural change in price volatility occurred on June 11, 2009. Fourthly, the Glosten-Jagannathan-Runkle GARCH and EGARCH models showed that estimates of coefficients within the models were statistically significant before and after structural change and also that asymmetry as a leverage effect existed before and after structural change.
