드라마 <인생은 아름다워>의 동성애 재현과 담론 (Representation of Homosexuality and Related Discourse in )

  • 본 연구는 최근 미디어에서 동성애의 재현이 표면으로 가시화되고 있는 시점에서 주류 미디어인 지상파 방송에서의 동성애 재현이 지니는 의미를 살펴보고자 하였다. 성적 소수자로서의 동성애자에 대한 주류 미디어의 재현의 경계는 무엇인가에 대한 문제의식을 바탕으로 드라마 <인생은 아름다워>에서의 재현 전략을 분석함에 있어 동일 드라마 내에서의 이성애 커플과 동성애 커플의 갈등의 원인과 유형, 갈등의 해결과정에서의 상호작용의 재현 방식의 비교를 통하여 동성애의 재현에서 허용되고 배제된 재현 방식은 무엇인지를 규명하고 이를 통해 생산되는 담론을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 이성애 커플에서 재현되는 사회적 요인으로 인한 갈등이 동성애 커플에는 부재하는 것으로 나타나며, 동성애 커플의 경우 가족과의 심화된 대인관계 갈등 속에서 피해자로 묘사됨으로써 동정심을 유발하는 방식으로 재현되고 있다. 또한 이성애 커플은 갈등의 해결에 주체적인 것으로, 동성애 커플은 갈등은 중재자의 적극 개입을 통해 비주체적으로 재현되고 있다.

  • This paper explores ways to develop efficient methods to construct the web-based interior design database based on hypermedia technology. First the role of hypermedia in design was investigated. We propose the structure of knowledge representation for interior design works. Also, we discuss how a design case can be retrieved from the design database. This paper also identified further research issues such as design case retrieval from numerous design cases and components of the virtual design studio.

  • In this paper, we compute the Hankel matrix representation of the Hankel operator on the Hardy space of a general bounded domain with respect to special orthonormal bases for the Hardy space and its orthogonal complement. Moreover we obtain the compact form of the Hankel matrix for the unit disc case with respect to these bases. One can see that the Hankel matrix generated by this computation turns out to be a generalization of the case of the unit disc from the single simply connected domain to multiply connected domains with much diversities of bases.

  • It is one of the most important thing to select pneumatic components in pneumatic system design. For the purpose of selecting pneumatic components, case objects are described as a knowledge representation and the most similar case object must be selected by decision making in computer. In this paper, case objects are represented using the methodology that is used for CBR(Case Base Reasoning) and methodology that the most similar case can be selected is Proposed. Algorithm VIWNNR(Varying Index Weight-based Nearer Neighbor Retrieval) is accomplished by varying index weight, that is not considering a index matching as true or false but varying a size of weight according to the degree of matching and enhance the flexibility of SCRM(Similar Case Retrieval Module) involving fuzzy concept in matching the cases. SCRM is tested In verify the feasibility to select pneumatic linear components and is peformed effectively.

Development of Case-adaptation Algorithm using Genetic Algorithm and Artificial Neural Networks

  • In this research, hybrid method with case-based reasoning and rule-based reasoning is applied. Using case-based reasoning, design experts'experience and know-how are effectively represented in order to obtain a proper configuration of midship section in the initial ship design stage. Since there is not sufficient domain knowledge available to us, traditional case-adaptation algorithms cannot be applied to our problem, i.e., creating the configuration of midship section. Thus, new case-adaptation algorithms not requiring any domain knowledge are developed antral applied to our problem. Using the knowledge representation of DnV rules, rule-based reasoning can perform deductive inference in order to obtain the scantling of midship section efficiently. The results from the case-based reasoning and the rule-based reasoning are examined by comparing the results with various conventional methods. And the reasonability of our results is verified by comparing the results wish actual values from parent ship.

  • In this paper we propose a new estimator of relative odds ratio in the two-sample case of proportional odds model under censorship. Also, we show that the estimator consistent and asymptotically normal by using martingale-representation. The efficiency of the proposed is assessed through a simulation study.

  • Building Information Modeling(BIM) is rooted in the economic and functional advantages of maturing from paper-based 2D drawings. The paper-based design and construction drawings are typical production from BIM and using the drawing under BIM environment is needed because there is not an alternative media instead of paper-based drawings. However using the 2D drawing process based on 2D CAD for BIM environment directly has difficulties because there are significant differences in data structure between CAD and BIM. CAD is based on traditional drawings as a whole while BIM is focused on individual objects and providing various levels of information associated with the objects. It can be an obstacle to move from 2D CAD to BIM that we don't have a standard or guideline for BIM. Futhermore, the complexity of drawing in representation would be the obstacle too, so the solution is discussed in the research based on the case of Samoo Architects and Engineers.

초등교사의 시각적 표상 활용 실태 및 시각적 표상의 기능에 대한 인식 (Elementary School Teachers' Use of Visual Representations and their Perceptions of the Functions of Visual Representations)

  • This study surveyed the elementary school teachers' use of visual representations and their perceptions of the functions of visual representations in the teaching of electricity unit. A total of 110 elementary teachers who have experiences in teaching electricity unit responded to online survey. The result showed firstly that most of the teachers use visual representations in their teaching and it is mostly limited to those presented in textbooks or images that they can get easily from internet search. Secondly, elementary teachers thought that they have high ability in using visual representations and low ability in understanding students' visual presentation ability. Thirdly, visual representations are more often preferred to be used as teacher-centered ways than student-centered ways for motivating students and conceptual understanding. However, in case of scientific inquiry, both teacher-centered and student-centered ways were equally preferred. Lastly, the teachers' perceptions of the functions of visual representations were categorized into 'teaching-instrumental function', 'learning-instrumental function', 'communicative-instrumental function' and 8 subcategories were found. The most frequent function was the 'information delivery function' in the 'teaching-instrumental function' category. Implications for teacher education and further studies were discussed.

디즈니 애니메이션의 외시 의미적 표현과 소통의 경향 (The Tendency of Denotative Representation and Communication in Disney Animation)

  • 롤랑 바르트에 의하면 신화란 상호 연결된 함축적 개념의 연쇄로서 1단계 의미작용 체계가 촉발하는 상호 연관된 연쇄적 함축의미를 통해서 그 모습을 드러내는 것이다. 그러므로 실사영화나 애니메이션에서 보이는 특정 장면의 함축의미는 그 장면이 만들어지기 이전에 사회적 통념이나 가치로서 이미 문화 속에 내재되어 있는 것이다. 디즈니 애니메이션의 경우에도 바르트가 언급한 외시의미와 함축의미의 두 가지 층위를 가지고 있다. 그러나 디즈니 애니메이션은 작품에 내재되어 있는 신화를 표현하고 전달하는 데에 있어서 명확하고 구체화된 캐릭터의 전형성을 토대로 외시적 표현과 직접적 소통을 추구하는 경향을 보인다. 그러므로 디즈니 애니메이션에서 보이는 의시적 의미작용의 경향은 디즈니 애니메이션 미학에 접근하는 한 갈래의 연구 방법이라고 할 수 있다.

가에타노 페세의 디자인에서 나타나는 비재현성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Non-Representational Characteristics that Appears in the Design of Gaetano Pesce)

  • Since the 1960's, diverse movements that oppose the uniform design tendency of modernism appears in Italy. Especially, Gaetano Pesce, who opposed uniformity and standardization that are based on mass production system, had interests in making unique product, not an identical product, while accepting modern production technology. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to comprehend Pesce's design, which creates diversity by arranging contingent, non-predictive, and episodic aspects in creative and acceptance processes according to the intension of the designer within mass production system, as a non-representational characteristic, which appears widely in modern thought and the arts, and examine how it is materialized in detailed design work. The study methods are first examining non-representation with theoretical contemplation and dealing with the design philosophy of Pesce based on the examination. Next, in order to discover non-representational characteristics that appear in the work of Pesce, it examines from introducing worker's creativity, user's possibility of choice, openness in the working process, and the aspects of researching materials. And a specific application method will be drawn through case analysis centered on furniture design. Gaetano Pesce's design that denies the world of representation based on the sameness comes to possess non-representational characteristics that acknowledge contingency and ceaselessly create difference by intentionally arranging during the working process.
