음운인식은 구어의 기본 단위인 말소리를 지각하고 조작하는 능력으로, 이것은 이후 문자습득에 영향을 주는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 몇몇 연구에서는 문자의 기본 단위인 철자에 대한 지식이 반대로 음운인식에 영향을 준다고 주장한다. 본 연구에서는 5, 6세 아동을 대상으로 철자표상 과제와 말소리분절 과제를 실시한 후, 두 과제 수행력 간 상관관계, 철자표상 상위집단과 하위집단 간 말소리분절 과제의 정반응 점수, 그리고 오류유형을 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 철자표상 과제와 말소리분절 과제 수행력은 자소-음소 일치 단어에서는 양의 상관, 불일치 단어에서는 음의 상관을 보였다. 자소-음소 일치 단어의 경우 두 집단 간 말소리분절 수행력에 차이가 없었지만, 자소-음소 불일치 단어의 경우 하위집단이 상위집단보다 말소리분절 수행력이 유의하게 좋았다. 두 집단 모두에서 가장 많이 나타난 오류는 철자화 오류였고, 이러한 경향은 상위집단에서 두드러졌다. 본 연구는 철자를 배우기 시작한 직후부터는 아동들이 말소리분절 과제 수행에 철자지식을 활용하고 있음을 시사한다.

수학적 과정에서 나타나는 언어 구문론적 표현 체계와 정의적 표현 체계 사이에는 긴밀한 상호 작용이 이루어진다. 한편, 수학적 개념 체계도 본질적으로 은유적이므로 언어적 표현을 통해 나타나는 수학적 개념 구조에 대한 분석은 수학 학습에 작용하는 인지 정의적 장애 요인의 근원을 밝히는데 도움이 될 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 수학 영재아의 문제해결 프로토콜을 인지언어와 메타정의의 관점에서 분석하여 텍스트 및 은유의 기능적 특성과 메타정의의 기능적 특성 사이의 관계성을 파악하였다. 그 결과 문제해결의 성공 여부에 따라 수학 영재아의 인지적, 정의적 특성이 반영된 행위의 양상이 서로 다르게 나타났다. 성공적이지 못한 문제해결의 경우에는 성공적인 경우에 비해 내부 표현 체계로서의 은유를 활용하는 행위가 상대적으로 빈번하게 나타났다. 또한 은유의 인지언어학적 측면이 문제해결에 중요하게 작용하면서 동시에 은유라는 외적 표현에는 메타정의적 속성이 긴밀하게 관련되어 나타났다.

In this paper, we describe how to represent lower case hand-written English alphabets by a sequence of two to seven fuzzy sets. Each fuzzy set represents an arc segment of the character and each arc segment is assumed to be a part of an ellipse. The part of an ellipse is defined by five quantities: its short and long radii, its orientation angle, whether it is a part of the lower half or the upper half and whether it is the full half or a part of a half. Hence, we use the Cartesian product of five fuzzy sets to represent each arc segment. We show that this representation is a translation, rotation, and scaling invariant and that it can be used to generate the hand-written English alphabets. The representation we describe is different from the one proposed earlier by the author and when compared with the previous representation, the one described in this paper simulates more closely the behavior of how one writes English characters.

It needs a skillful experience to design and implement sequential circuits with a relay circuit or LD (Ladder Diagram). One makes out the operation of relay contacts sequentially in case of analyzing a relay circuit or LD. Still more, the design and analyzing of a complex relay circuit or LD are difficult. In this paper, we propose the EMFG (Extended Mark Graph) representation on relay circuits and LD.

In this paper, we show the weak convergence of U-empirical processes for two sample problem. We use the result to show the asymptotic normality for the generalized dodges-Lehmann estimates with the Bahadur representation for quantifies of U-empirical distributions. Also we consider the asymptotic normality for the test statistics in a simple way.

We consider a(worst-case) robust optimization version of the Economic Order Quantity(EOQ) model. Order setup costs and inventory carrying costs are assumed to have uncertainty in their values, and the uncertainty description of the two parameters is supposed to be given by an ellipsoidal representation. A genetic algorithm combined with Monte Carlo simulation is proposed to approximate the ellipsoidal representation. The objective function of the model under ellipsoidal uncertainty description is derived, and the resulting problem is solved by another genetic algorithm. Computational test results are presented to show the performance of the proposed method.

A Fock representation of q-commutation relation is studied by constructing a q-Fock space as the space of the representation, the q-creation and q-annihilation operators (-1 < q < 1). In the case of 0 < q < 1, the q-Fock space is interpolated between the Boson Fock space and the full Fock space. Also, a unitary decomposition of the q-Fock space $(q\;{\neq}\;0)$ is studied.

This paper Introduces a method to automate process design using Case Based Reasoning technique. A case is represented hierarchically through functional requirement, behavioral model, and process mechanism model Specifically, a case retrieval algorithm to use function and behavior, case adaptation method to use hierarchical case representation, and a machine selection method are presented.

This study discovers the dynamic nature of an interactional hierarchy as well as an institutional hierarchy in the use of Korean honorifics. Data was collected from the conversations of two Korean female interlocutors. The interlocutors met for the first time in the U.S. and often changed their use of honorifics. The paper examines the method in which the two interlocutors negotiate hierarchies during interaction and how the negotiation is reflected in their use of honorific shifts. The paper also investigates honorific shifts in terms of self-representation to suggest that there is another hierarchy at work other than the institutional hierarchy. An examination of the data shows that the shifts occurred not randomly but strategically. The findings suggest that 1) interlocutors may negotiate interactional hierarchy during their conversation, often in the same sentence, 2) interactional hierarchy often cross the boundary of the institutional hierarchy to obtain interactional goals, in this case, intimacy, and 3) the utterance contents may play a significant role in the interlocutors' honorific shifts.

This study concentrates on a new idea that is formulated as a creative space recognition in contemporary architecture and painting. It is stimulated from Deleuze's philosophy, which is expressed with the philosophical instrument, "Non-Representation". After discussing the concept of non-representation used in Deleuze's philosophy, case example in contemporary architecture are analysed to comparatively Investigate the relationship between the architectures by Rem Koolhaas and painting by Francis Bacon. Therefore, he founds expressions of "diagram" and "movement" in painting of F. Bacon. Diagram meansit is a power that is comprised of various points of wiew with the kind experiences that one has in life. Movement that were extracted form the Instrument in space recognition of Deleuze's panting theory were of topology, insertion of geometry, reiteration of layers, transparency and translucency, reflection effect.
