진로집단상담 프로그램이 초등학교 학습부진아동의 진로성숙과 성취동기에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of a Career Group Counseling Program on the Career Maturity and Achievement Motivation of Elementary School Underachievers)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a career group counseling program on the career maturity and achievement motivation of elementary school underachievers. This study targeted the fifth grader underachievers. Twenty underachievers, whose pre-test homogeneity in career maturity and achievement motivation was verified, were allocated to an experimental group and a control group by 10 underachievers each. The program was conducted for a total of 12 sessions, twice per week, and each session lasted 80 minutes. For verification of the program effects in this study, MANOVA and ANOVA were carried out for pre- and post-score tests between the groups, and repeated-MANOVA and paired t-test were peformed to look into the changes within a group by using SPSS/WIN(version 12.0) in terms of statistical analyses. The findings in this study are as follows: First, as a result of post test for the experimental and control groups, and difference verification of post and pre-tests within the experimental group, both career maturity and sub-factors of career maturity demonstrated significant differences. Second, as a result of difference verification of the pre- and post-tests within the experimental group, achievement motivation significantly improved, but there was no statistically significant difference in achievement motivation in the post-test of experimental and control groups. However, of the sub-factors of the achievement motivation, self-confidence and Interest in the long-term future significantly improved. Third, we can see that the career group counseling program provided opportunities for the underachievers to search their own character, interest, and aptitude, and broadly encounter the world of occupations. Also, we can infer that the underachieves had active and developmental attitudes towards future dreams and their current efforts. As noted above, the career group counseling program proved that it has a positive effect to the improvement of the elementary school underachievers' career maturity and achievement motivation in some variables.

미용특성화고등학교 학생들의 진로장벽이 취업결정수준에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Career Barriers on Employment Decisions among Students from Beauty-specialized High Schools)

  • This study aimed to investigate the influence of career barriers on employment decisions among high school students specializing in beauty-related field. The subjects of this study were 339 students attending beauty-specialized high schools in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeollabuk-do, and a self-written questionnaire was employed for conducting the research. This survey was conducted from April 4 to April 18, 2022. A total of 380 questionnaires were distributed, and 350 responses were collected. Of these, 339 questionnaires were considered for the final analysis, as the remaining 11 had incomplete or insincere responses. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the career barriers affecting high school students in beauty-specialized schools were categorized into eight factors: lack of interest, economic difficulties, financial support, interpersonal challenges, job information, anxiety about future, conflict with others, and lack of self-clarity. Second, when assessing the impact of career barriers on employment decision-making, it was observed that the level of employment decision-making had a statistically positive (+) effect, and the lack of interest had a negative (-) effect on the level of employment decision-making. Next, the significance of the regression model, considering the specific factors of career barriers in relation to employment confidence, was established as p<.001. Variables such as a lack of interest, limited access to job information, and lack of self-clarity had a negative (-) effect on the level of employment confidence, with a significance level of 0.05.

성취평가제에 대한 중학교 교사의 관심수준 분석 (Analysis on the Middle School Teachers' Level of Interest of Achievement Standards-based Assessment)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of interest in the achievement evaluation system, under the assumption that the teacher is an important element of curriculum. For this study, surveys targeting the 150 middle school teachers from 6 schools in Pusan was conducted. A questionnaire based CBAM model was used as research tools. For data analysis, mean of relative strength by teacher's level of interest was calculated. And MANOVA was used to investigate the difference among level of interest according to teachers' background such as sex, age, career, job position, and the grade they taught. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows. First, the middle school teachers' overall interest for achievement evaluation system is low. Teachers showed a typical pattern appeared in the early stages of change. They have little interest in the achievement evaluation system. And they should try to fix and change the achievement evaluation system rather than cooperate it. Second, as a result of this analysis of the difference according to teachers' background, no significant differences were found in most of the variables. Significant differences were found only in age, career, and job position from step 0. In running the post hoc, teachers who have less careers, lower positions, and younger ages had less interest in achievement evaluation system.

FGI 분석을 통한 공과대학생의 전공 유지와 진로 결정의 영향 요인 탐색 (Exploring Factors Affecting Major Persistence and Career Decision of Engineering Students through FGI Analysis)

  • This research aims to explore the factors affecting engineering students' major persistence and career decision. To achieve this goal, the experiences and perceptions of engineering students and other stakeholders regarding the factors influencing engineering students' major persistence and career decision were analyzed through online focus group interviews (FGI). The analysis of the interviews resulted in the identification of seven categories, which include meeting with older alumni, team project experiences, and internship experiences as factors influencing major persistence. Additionally, engineering interest, engineering self-efficacy, employment rates, economic factors, and limitations in women engineers' career development were identified as factors affecting career decision. Based on these findings, it is expected that engineering education will develop plans that focus on supporting the major persistence and career development of engineering students, thereby contributing to the future direction of engineering education.

가천대학교 의과대학 졸업 후 진로지도 프로그램 설계와 운영 (Design and Implementation of a Career Guidance Program at Gachon University College of Medicine)

  • The ultimate goal of career guidance is to help medical students develop a career plan that matches their personal characteristics, allows them to train in their desired subspecialty, and helps them to adapt well to medical practice after graduation. Gachon Medical School has designed a longitudinal career guidance program called GLORI (Gachon Longitudinal Orientation and Career Development), which is based on the outcome of each phase. The program consists of regular courses and portfolio-based career guidance from a mentor professor. In phase 2 (basic medical science), the "Career Seminar" course was developed. This course focuses on self-understanding through a psychological inventory, exploration of postgraduate career paths, and interviews with professors in specialties of interest. In phase 3 (the integration of basic and clinical science), the "Exploring Nonclinical Career Options" course was introduced. This course presents perspectives from doctors who have followed various pioneering career trajectories, including biomedical engineering, medical journalism, writing, public health, health care administration, the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, and other areas. All teaching methods were designed to encourage student participation. The assessment methods are assignment-based, including self-reflective reports and presentations. In addition, a portfolio-based career guidance program is implemented in phases 3 and 4 (clinical clerkship). It is expected that this case study will serve as a practical example for developing comprehensive career guidance programs for medical schools.

과학에 대한 인식 및 학교 밖 경험이 중학생의 과학 진로 희망에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Middle School Students' Perception of Science and Out-of-School Experience on Science Career Aspiration)

  • 이 연구에서는 중학생을 대상으로 성별, 과학성적, 과학에 대한 인식, 학교 밖 경험이 과학 진로 희망에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 이를 위하여 181명의 중학생을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하여 과학 진로 희망 여부에 따라 과학에 대한 인식과 학교 밖 경험에 차이가 있는지 조사하고 탐색적 요인 분석을 통해 도출한 8개의 변인과 성별, 과학 성적 등이 과학 관련 진로 희망 여부에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, '과학 학습에 대한 흥미와 선호'와 '일상 도구 사용' 변인만이 과학 진로 희망 여부를 유의미하게 설명할 수 있는 설명변인인 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 학생들의 과학 진로를 희망을 증가시키기 위해서는 학생들의 과학 학습에 대한 흥미와 선호를 높이고 일상생활에서 도구를 사용하는 경험을 늘리는 것이 중요한 것으로 나타났다.

  • 최근 교육현장에서는 교과 및 비교과 프로그램에서 진로탐색과 관련된 다양한 과정들을 개설하여 진로적성 관련 교육을 실시하고 있다. 그러나, 강의 중심으로 진행되는 직업 교육은 학생들의 관심을 끌지 못했고 결과 또한 만족스럽지 못한 경우가 있다. 학생들의 관심을 유도할 수 있는 직업 교육 프로그램을 설계하기 위해 다양한 도구를 개발하고자 하는 노력들이 진행되고 있으며 진로탐색을 위한 직업 적성 검사 도구로 직업 카드를 사용하는 방법이 도입되고 있다. 오늘날 초등학교부터 중고등학교에 이르기까지 직업적성검사를 진행하는데 카드를 사용하는 경우가 많지만 스마트폰의 보급으로 웹 기반의 학습과 검사 도구 개발로의 변경이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구는 초중고 학생들을 대상으로 모바일과 인터넷환경에서 플랫폼에 구애받지 않고 적성검사를 진행하여 분석 및 결과를 제시하는 웹 기반 흥미유형검사 시스템을 설계하는 것이 목표이다.

과학자 되어보기 활동 중심의 초등 저학년용 과학 진로교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (The Development and Application of Science Career Education Programs for the Lower Grades of Elementary School)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 저학년 학생을 대상으로 과학 진로교육 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하여 초등학교 저학년에서의 과학 진로교육의 가능성과 발전방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 그를 위하여 먼저 초등학교 저학년 학생이 가진 과학자와 과학에 대한 이미지를 분석하고, 과학 진로교육 프로그램 적용 후 과학자와 과학에 대한 인식의 변화를 살펴보았다. 또 과학자 되어보기 활동을 통하여 과학에 대한 흥미를 알아보고, 과학 진로교육 프로그램에 대한 학생의 인식을 설문지와 면담을 통하여 분석하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등 저학년용 과학 진로교육 프로그램은 학생들의 과학자와 과학에 대한 인식에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 초등 저학년용 과학 진로교육 프로그램은 학생들의 과학에 대한 흥미에 영향을 준다. 셋째, 초등 저학년용 과학 진로교육 프로그램에 대한 학생들의 인식은 긍정적으로 나타났다. 학생들은 프로그램에 대한 흥미도, 참여도, 이해도 모두에 높은 점수를 주었다.

과학 진로와 관련된 초중등 학생들의 인식 조사 (A Survey of Primary and Secondary School Students' Views in Relation to a Career in Science)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 체계적이고 종합적인 과학진로교육 프로그램 및 자료를 개발하기 위한 첫 단계의 연구로, 과학 관련 진로에 대한 초, 중, 고 학생들의 생각을 조사하는 것이다. 검사도구는 두 차례의 예비조사를 거쳐 연구자가 개발하였고, 연구대상은 지역 규모에 따른 계층별 표집을 한 초등학생 1036명, 중학생 1137명, 고등학생 1435명, 총 3608명이다. 과학에 대한 이미지, 과학선호도, 과학학습선호도, 과학성적에 대한 인식, 본인의 진로 희망, 과학 직업에 대한 희망 정도, 과학 진로에 대한 인식, 과학 관련 진로 선택과 관련된 주요 요인, 과거 및 현재의 과학 관련 진로 희망 여부 및 그 이유 등을 조사하였다. 조사 결과, 학생들의 과학에 대한 이미지는 '실험활동으로서의 과학'을 가장 많이 지니고 있었고, 과학선호도와 과학학습에 대한 선호도는 과학성적에 대한 인식보다 긍정적이었다. 과학 관련 진로를 희망하는 학생들의 비율은 21%였으며, 중학생의 경우가 특히 낮게 나타났다. 과학 진로를 선택할 때의 좋은 점으로는 '나라 발전에 도움되므로', '새로운 지식을 얻을 수 있으므로', 나쁜 점에 대해서는 '위험하므로', '공부를 많이 해야 하므로' 등을 많이 들었다. 학생들이 과학 관련 진로를 선택하는 이유는 '과학 및 과학 학습에 대한 흥미'가 가장 높은 비율을 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석 결과로부터 과학진로교육의 기본적 방향은 과학학습에 대한 선호도와 흥미를 높이는 것을 바탕으로 과학직업에 대한 긍정적 인식과 미래 사회에서의 과학관련 직업 전망을 제시해 줄 수 있어야 하며, 대상 학생의 발달 단계와 특성에 맞는 과학진로교육이 이루어져야 함이 더욱 중요하다.

프리셉터의 핵심역량과 경력몰입에 관한 연구 (The Core Competency and Career Commitment of the Preceptors)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the core competency and career commitment of the preceptors to identify utility of the preceptorship as career management program. Method: The subjects were 107 clinical nurses who were working in one university hospital composed of the head nurses(n=27), non-preceptors(n=28), new graduate nurses(n=26) and preceptors(n=26). Demographic characteristics, core competency and career commitment were measured. The core competency was evaluated by the head nurses, non-preceptors, new graduate nurses, and preceptor themselves. And the career commitment was compared between the preceptors and non-preceptors. For data analyses, percentage, mean, t-test, ANOVA were adopted with the use of SPSS WIN 10.0. Result: The results of this study showed that the core competency of the preceptors was evaluated excellently by all subjects. In three domains, there were no significant difference in role model, socialization facillitator and educator except for learning experience planning between the head nurses, non-preceptors, new graduate nurses and preceptors. The career commitment was significant difference between the preceptors and non-preceptors. Conclusions: The finding above indicated that the preceptorship utilized the improvement of the core competency and career commitment of the preceptors as career management program. therefore, continually, the effort and interest for development of the preceptorship can be a remarkable contribution for nurses' career management in nursing organization.
