The present study investigates the seventh and the eighth graders' perception of Free Learning Semester Programs offered by libraries by developing a survey questionnaire on students' needs for Free Learning Semester Programs of Libraries. The skills that middle school students want to improve in Free Learning Semesters are career exploration skills, and the type of Free Learning Semester that is most intensively implemented is career exploration activities. Programs are often offered in the form of experiential classes. Regarding the activities that the students want to participate during Free Learning Semester, the most preferred activities included field experience activity in the career exploration domain, cooking class in the student choice program, smartphone app development in club activities, design activity in the art domain, the badminton in the physical education domain, and using iPad in the information use skills. In addition, among the library programs in coordination with Free Learning Semester, the students liked the occupational experience program most. Future studies need to include the development and implementation of Free Learning Semester Programs based on students' opinions, and investigate their satisfaction with the Free Learning Semester Programs offered by libraries.
The purpose of this study is to examine the factors classifying family leisure activities and the variables that influence them. A total of 309 questionnaires was analyzed from married men and women who had school-age children. The results of analysis are as follows: The factors of family leisure activities were classified into four categories. Women participated in \"society-oriented\" activities much more than men did. People of high income level participated in \"society-oriented\" activities more, and people of high school career participated in \"education & experience-oriented\" activities, and \"family-oriented\" activities more. People with younger children participated in \"education & experience-oriented\" activities much more. People who were experiencing family leisure barriers to a high degree participated less in all of family leisure activities. People that had a plan for family leisure participated in all of family leisure activities much more.

The purpose of this study is to develop a game developer career experience program that promotes student participation and to verify its effectiveness. The game developer career experience education program currently operated by Job World is composed of passive course, which makes students less interesting and only passive activities are possible. In this study, we improved the existing coursework type program to experience actual game development using scratch to promote learner participation. Scratch can be created and shared, giving students the opportunity to create their own work. Therefore, this study developed the game developer career experience education program using scratch and verified its effect. Two Delphi tests were conducted to develop the training program and one expert council was held. In addition, pilot classes were conducted from 22 elementary school students and 30 middle school students, and the satisfaction test was conducted. As a result, the developed educational program showed positive results in terms of help, satisfaction, effectiveness, and awareness.

It is more important than ever to have talent with innovative capacities for sustainable agriculture and rural areas, but adolescents's interest in and understanding of agriculture and rural areas is very low. Therefore, this study analyzed the experiences of participants in the Agriculture Career Exploration Activities Program. and suggests strategies to improve and revitalize agricultural education based on these findings. First, Institutions and facilities that run agricultural education programs need opportunities for self-checks. Second, it is necessary to develop various contents and its distribution channels to enable the experience related to it in daily life. Third, it is important to provide experience in the middle school curriculum, which requires the use of a system such as the Free Semester System. Fourth, education and promotion to parents and teachers is also important, as it has a direct impact on youth's perception of it.
The purpose of this study was to develop the ESD program related to creative-experience activity, and to examine the effect of its application. The program was composed of 13 sessions for fifth-grade class in elementary school, including all of the environmental, economic, and social aspects of ESD. This program was connected to the domains of creative hands-on activities, that is, career activities, club activities, self-regulated activities and voluntary service activities. The results was as follows. First, the experimental group to undergo the ESD program related to creative-experience activity did not show significant differences in environmental literacy compared to the control group, but it is proven that this program contributed to the improvement of learners' environmental emotion, skill, and participation. Second, the experimental group did not show significant differences in scientific attitude compared to the control group, but it was considered to affect the elementary students' criticism, self-esteem, and patience in positive and effective manner. In conclusion, more ESD program that cultivate elementary school students' environmental literacy need to be developed continuously, and more intensive research should be conducted to earn better understanding of ESD.
The objective of this study was to examine the relation between delinquency and career maturity in school adolescents and to determine whether activities for enhancing career maturity can have protective effects against juvenile delinquencies. Research questions for this study are: first, how serious school adolescents' delinquencies are; and second, what relation there is between delinquency and career maturity in school adolescents. Third, how different is school adolescents' career maturity according to their experience in delinquencies? The results of this study were as follows. First, 55.8% of the school adolescents committed one or more of the 14 types of delinquent acts included in the delinquency inventory during the last one year, and the percentage was higher among male students than among female ones. Second, no correlation was observed between the school adolescents' overall delinquency level and overall career maturity. According to the sub-factors of career maturity, however, the overall delinquency level was in a negative correlation with objectiveness and a positive correlation with independence/decisiveness. That is, objectiveness was higher in the group without experiences in delinquencies than in the group with such experiences. and Type II status offenses (truancy, runaway) was in a negative correlation with overall career maturity, and in a negative correlation with objectiveness and confidence. Third, no significant difference was observed in career maturity between those with experience in delinquencies and those without. Among the sub-factors of career maturity, however, objectiveness was higher in those without experience in delinquencies than in those with. and Overall career maturity, and objectiveness and confidence among the sub-factors of career maturity were significantly higher in those without experience in Type II (truancy, runaway) status offenses than those with. The results of this study suggest that the objectiveness of career maturity can be a protective factor against juvenile delinquency. Furthermore, they suggest that activities for enhancing career maturity may protect adolescents from Type II status offenses. These results may provide basic materials necessary to develop career counseling approaches and interventions strategies for preventing school adolescents' delinquencies.
This study examines a systematic and effective approach to career guidance in medical education, with a particular focus on the 6-year integrated career guidance education framework implemented at the College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea. Based on the "New SLICE" educational development principles, this framework comprehensively addresses the needs of medical students in career planning and development. It is structured into three phases: understanding yourself, exploring options, and choosing a specialty. The first phase, understanding yourself, helps students to recognize their strengths, weaknesses, aptitudes, and potentials, thereby setting the direction for future career choices. This phase includes various psychological tests and Self-Development and Portfolio courses. The second phase, exploring options, enables students to engage in related activities such as research and practical training, providing direct and indirect experiences across various fields. This phase offers courses including Medical Field Experience, Career Guidance through the Learning Community & Advisory Professors, and Student Participation in Professor Research Projects. The final phase, choosing a specialty, involves students making decisions based on in-depth self-assessment and exploration of majors, with a capstone project being a significant component. Maximizing the efficiency of career decision-making requires integration between the basic medical curriculum and postgraduate education. Including the period up to residency entrance in the framework is necessary for effective career guidance education.
STEAM education is an effective teaching method to develop self-problem-solving skills through creative thinking. In order to revitalize STEAM education, various program models are being developed recently. The purpose of this study is to develop a STEAM education program based on the project-based learing method that includes the process of solving global environmental problems. The STEAM element was extracted by linking the zero energy house design with the middle school curriculum, and the STEAM education program was developed considering career activities. It was analyzed whether the developed program can improve STEAM core competence and job preparation ability. The education program was conducted for middle school students and the program was evaluated through questionnaires. In order to strengthen the STEAM competency, project-based learning method was applied and it was able to enhance the active problem solving ability of learners. In addition, opportunities for career experience could be provided through career exploration programs and various activities. Through this STEAM education program, it is expected to contribute to cultivating human resources with convergence knowledge and core competency.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the improvement of career self-efficacy of middle school students through the fashion career educational program designed for Free-semester. For the purpose of this study, three middle schools were implemented and their effects were verified. First, the fashion career educational program was designed based on subordinate elements of career education: job information searching, self-understanding and exploration, career-planning, and problem-solving. The results of this study were as follows: First, the fashion career education program has positive effects on the improvement of career self-efficacy of middle school students. The positive experiences of accomplishment through task solving, the role experience of successful role model, the return of successful experience, and the positive interactions of teachers and friends that can be done in the future have brought positive changes to career self-efficacy. Second, this program has positive effects on the career self-efficacy sub-factors, which are career exploration efficacy, career decision making efficacy, and career-performing efficacy. As a result of practicing and exploring activities related to fashion, It seems to be due to the self - confidence of planning and preparing their own career through their self-understanding and exploration, collecting information of job, problem solving, career planning, etc.
The objective of this study was to investigate the factors of career choice in high school seniors and to utilize the data to guide their career selection. From July 2, 2016 to August 2, 2016, a total of 145 high school seniors from six different high schools in Daejeon and Chungcheong area participated the study. Pearson's correlation coefficients, t-test, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis, using SPSS 24.0 version program. It was shown that the participants who had a positive relationship with their school nurse, or those who had experience in nursing-related career activities inside or outside the school, or participants who had career-related classes, expert counseling, and educational experience in school were interested in applying to nursing school. The findings from this study provided implications for promoting career education programs attracting talent from high school seniors who are interested in applying nursing school.
