  • As the major sources of interior noise of train at running condition are the wheel/rail contact noise, the traction motor's noise and the driving gear's noise and these noise sources are transmitted through the car body, the noises of HVAC and air duct can be ignored. But the interior noise of train at standstill condition is decided by HVAC's noise and noise from the diffuser through the air duct. the interior noise prediction of train at standstill condition should be performed considering the shape of air duct, the air velocity and noise reduction property inside the air duct. But it is hard to estimate the interior noise level by the numerical method. Therefore train maker predict the interior noise level using The commercial noise prediction program. This paper introduce the noise prediction method of the train at standstill condition using the commercial program appling the ray tracing method and statistical energy analysis.

  • 일반적으로 자율 주행에 딥러닝을 적용하기 위해서 실제 차량에 관련 장비를 설치하고 테스트 한다. 본 논문에서는 The Open Racing Car Simulator(TORCS)에서 다양한 신경망 구조를 적용하도록 Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)을 통하여 학습 및 테스트할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다. 가상 환경에서 테스트함으로써 하드웨어를 구매하거나 제작하지 않아도 되며 신경망 구조를 선택후 학습함으로써 다양한 데이터에 적합한 신경망 구조를 적용할 수 있다.

  • Multi-criteria decision making is deducing the relative importance in the criterion of decision making and each alternative which is able to making a variety of choices measures the preferred degree in the series of town ranking criterions. Moreover, this is possible by synthesizing them systematically. In general, a fundamental problem decision maker solve for multi-criteria decision making is evaluating a set of activities which an considered as the target logically, and this kind of work is evaluated and synthesized by various criterions of the value which a chain of activities usually hold in common. In this paper, we use the compensatory models for the optimal decision making. For the purpose of optimal decision making, the data of five different car models are used in Europe.

  • In domestic replacement tire market, imported tires are increasing condinuously. Because there is no institute officially investigating tire safety and performance, domestic drivers can be exposed to defective tires with no regulations. In this study we performed investigation of replacement tire market status and amount of imported tires. Over $90\%$ of imported tires are for passenger car and the number of total imported tires is increasing in recent years. Low price tires imported from Southeast Asia and China are selected to evaluate quality level. Basic inspection, indoor test, outdoor test, material test are conducted to evaluate the selected tires and compared with tires of domestic maker. From test results quality level of the selected tires could be found.

  • Recently, the importance of simulation validation in a virtual environment for autonomous driving system validation is increasing. At the same time, interest in the advancement of the virtual driving environment is also increasing. To develop autonomous driving technology, a simulation environment similar to the real-world environment is needed. For this reason, not only the road model is configured in the virtual driving environment, but also the driving environment configuration that includes the surrounding environments -traffic, object, etc- is necessary. In this article, FMTC, which is a test bed for autonomous vehicles, is implemented in a virtual environment and advanced to form a virtual driving environment similar to that of real FMTC. In addition, the similarity of the virtual driving environment is verified through comparative analysis with the real FMTC.

  • Recently, the importance of simulation in a virtual driving environment as well as real road-based tests for autonomous vehicle testing is increasing. Real road tests are being actively conducted at K-City, an autonomous driving test bed located at the Korea Automobile Safety Test & Research Institute of the Transportation Safety Authority. In addition, the need to advance the K-City virtual driving environment and build a virtual environment similar to the autonomous driving system test environment in real road tests is increasing. In this study, for K-City of Korea Automobile Safety Test & Research Institute, using detailed drawings and actual field data, K-City virtual driving environment was advanced, and similarity verification was verified through comparative analysis with actual K-City.

  • An automotive air conditioning assembly consists of a condenser, a compressor and an evaporator. These major components are connected with rubber hoses and aluminum pipes. Once mounted on the automotive air conditioning assembly, it is exposed to a serious vibration environment for a long time. In some cases, there are vibration cracking on the assembly. In order to solve this vibration problem, several real vibration tests are performed on the assembly of which the lay-out was optimized, in spite of sample production cost and making time. In this study, a frequency response analysis, which is a kind of finite element method of the vibration, was performed to know the characteristic of the vibration transmission on the assembly lay-out. The analysis result indicated the damping performance, which is satisfied with the vibration standard of car maker, in rubber hoses and the whole assembly.

  • The Japanese 'H' motor company is the one of a few engine makers for F1 racing machine in the world. And it has a tradition and ability to make a humanoid walking robot 'Asimo'. But 'H' motor company is known as a motorcycle maker not a car in Korea. It wanted to reinforce the brand image and identity to Korean consumer. And it needed a powerful marketing tool for the brand image distinguished from other global motor companies. It demanded a stand design to show their powerful and unique identity for surpass other rivals in 2007 Seoul Motor Show. This stand for 'H' motor company in 2007 SMS has an area of 1,250m2 and located between huge domestic motor companies, K and SR. The design was planed to show its unique identity and image, overcoming its relatively small size. I designed a round-shape ceiling structures covered whole booth space for enclosure and vortical space sense. That made a strong brand image by light and sharp structures completely distinguished from other stands. And it has a main logo sign for recognizing the stand from a distance.

Development of Multiple RLS and Actuator Performance Index-based Adaptive Actuator Fault-Tolerant Control and Detection Algorithms for Longitudinal Autonomous Driving (다중 순환 최소 자승 및 성능 지수 기반 종방향 자율주행을 위한 적응형 구동기 고장 허용 제어 및 탐지 알고리즘 개발)

  • This paper proposes multiple RLS and actuator performance index-based adaptive actuator fault-tolerant control and detection algorithms for longitudinal autonomous driving. The proposed algorithm computes the desired acceleration using feedback law for longitudinal autonomous driving. When actuator fault or performance degradation exists, it is designed that the desired acceleration is adjusted with the calculated feedback gains based on multiple RLS and gradient descent method for fault-tolerant control. In order to define the performance index, the error between the desired and actual accelerations is used. The window-based weighted error standard deviation is computed with the design parameters. Fault level decision algorithm that can represent three fault levels such as normal, warning, emergency levels is proposed in this study. Performance evaluation under various driving scenarios with actuator fault was conducted based on co-simulation of Matlab/Simulink and commercial software (CarMaker).

  • 1886년 고트리브 다이믈러와 칼 벤즈가 가솔린 자동차를 개발한 이후 100여년이 지난 지금 자동차는 비약적으로 진보, 발전하여 현대 산업사회와 개인의 생활에 있어 산업운송수단과 이동수단으 로서 필요불가결하게 되어 밀접한 관계를 갖고 있다. 우리나라 자동차 공업의 역사는 자동차가 사회적, 경제적 효용에 따라 그 생산과 보유대수가 날이 갈수록 증가 일로에 있으며, 자동차의 생산대수는 전세 계에서 년간 약 50,606천대('94년)로서 중요한 국가 기간 산업으로 자리하고 있다. 한편 전기, 전자공업의 발전에 따른 자동차의 Car Electronics가 많이 채용되게 됨에 따라 현재의 자 동차에는 대부분이 전자제어 System으로 구성되어 있다. 최근에는 Micro Processor를 이용한 전자부품이 많이 사용되어 전자파에 대한 문제가 다양하게 발생 하고 있다. 예를 들면 미국 캘리포니아주에서 전자점화제어장치와 연료분사 장치를 설치한 구미의 자동 차가 주행중 28MHz, 28W의 아마추어 무선을 탑제한 자동차가 통과할 때 엔진이 고르지 못한 보고가 있 었고, 화학섬유로된 옷을 착용한 전자부품이 다른 부품에 영향을 주는 사례가 맣아지고 있다. 따라서 자동차에는 여러가지의 전장품, 전자기기를 탑재하기 때문에 자동차 자체에서 발생하는 것과 외부로 부터 받는 전자장해 EMI(Electromagnetic Interference), EMS(Electromagnetic Susceptibility) 가 문제로 되어 자동차 및 부품 maker에 의한 EMC(Electromagnetic Compatibility) 평가의 중요성이 고조되고 있다. 차제무전기, 차제무전기, Car-Radio는잡음방해를 많이 받기도 하지만, 잡음원이 되기 도 한다. 또한 Engine 제어, 차속제어, Brake 제어등에 이용되는 전자제품은 방해에 의한 오동작 또는 파괴가 발생하여 주행기능, 안전성에 문제가 야기되지 않도록 해야 한다. 이러한 전자기 환경은 모두 RF(Radio Frequence)와 자동차에서의 전자파 장해 문제의 원이 될 수 있다. 자동차 및 그 부품의 전자기 방해에 관한 규격화는 1987년부터 괄목할 만하게 진행되어 이에 따른 규제 움직임이 IEC(International Electrotechnical Commission: 국제전기기술위원회) 산하의 하부기 구인 CISPR(International Special Committeeon Radio Interference: 국제 무선 장해 특별위원회)가 전자기 방해파에 대한 측정법 통일안을 제안 하였고, ISO(International Standardization Organiza- tion: 국제표준화 기구) 가운데 TC 22/SC3가 자동차의 전장품에 대한 장해를 논의히고 있다. 특히, 자동차의 EMC에 관한 국가 규격은 국제 규격에서 저술한 바와 같이 특별히 규정된 것이 없고 VDE(Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker: 서독전기기술 협회)와 SAE(Society of Automotive Engi- neers: 자동차 기술자 협회)에서 비교적 활발하고 Jaso(Japanese Automobile Standards Organization: 일본 자동차 표준협회)에서 많이 진행중에 있다. 본 고에서는 자동차의 전자제어에 따른 잡음 발생 요인과 전자파 간섭 관련 자동차 규격과 시험평가 방법에 대해 간단히 소개 하였다.
