This study with 'trip' as a theme, aims to develop textile designs and fashion bags for travel which is widely applicable fitting traveler's T P O, applying Victor Vasarely's artwork. During the planning process of design, 'Whenever & Wherever's concept was set by analyzing fashion trend information in 2010-11 F/W proposed by Interfashion Planning and FCK; in addition, 'Bobos' were selected as research targets. It organized 4 images of 'Modern', 'Romantic', 'Classic' and 'Fantastic'. The motives are proposed textile design with '$Cross^2$', 'Falling Z', 'Cir-Classicism' and 'Skinny-holic' per each theme. The designs developed were printed out and into polyester canvas with a Polaris V6 DTP from dgen, Corp. Textile designs developed were applied for 'two-way' formed fashion bags for traveling with high practicality. Fashion bags for traveling consisted of big bags, tote bags, and hip sacks; a total of 12 works (4 sets per theme) were produced. This study sought practical plans for artworks by producing fashion goods through a DTP system. The results of this study can be used as guidelines for further studies and as a significant contribution to the creation of high values for exciting fashion products.

This study evaluated the efficiency of an oil fence and spreading devices for one vessel in a towing tank. A series of model experiments and numerical calculations were conducted using an existing oil fence for two vessels and a new method for one vessel. Models of the oil fence and spreading devices were constructed on $1/20^{th}$ scale from waterproofed nylon fabric and canvas. The tensions acting on the model of the oil fences and the horizontal distance between the spreading devices were calculated numerically while the oil fences were being towed. The results were extremely close to the results of the model experiments. The ratio of the opening width to the total length of the oil fence, which shows the efficiency of the oil fence for one vessel, was 49.7% in 0.4 m/sec. Therefore, the proposed oil fence system should be very useful for oil containment at sea. As the opening width of the oil fence is not proportional to the length of the towing rope, it may be reasonable to maintain the towing rope at approximately 100 m. Furthermore, a reasonable towing speed, when operating the oil fence for one vessel equipped with spreading devices, was within 0.4 m/sec.

In this paper, we propose an Arduino-based effective home security monitoring system. Proposed home security monitoring system consists of arduino which is inexpensive main processor, ultrasonic sensor and human body detection sensor to detect whether someone breaks into home. Data from ultrasonic sensor and human body detection sensor are transmitted to web server via ethernet shield connected to arduino. Web server checks whether someone breaks into home by using stored data from ultrasonic sensor and human body detection sensor. Snapshot is photographed via webcam connected by using JQuery. Photographed snapshot is stored in web server as image file. A user can monitor in web or smart device environment by using HTML5, CSS and Canvas. When examining efficiency of proposed home security monitoring system, it was found that proposed system is easier to be made than existing home security system and is cost effective by using arduino and is efficient and convenient and stable as it enables a user to handle an error in person and it uses reliable data.

The purpose of this study was to identify middle-school boys' purchase behavior according to their shoes shopping orientation. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect from 314 subjects. Factor analysis, Chi-square test, and one-way ANOVA were done using SPSS PC (Ver. 18.0). Most middle-school boys selected shoes that were 255~270mm, possessed on to two pairs of school shoes, searched for information for about five days before purchase, had spent 50,000~150,000 won on one to two pairs of shoes during the previous six months, saw design, comfort, and brand as their selection criteria, chose their shoes by themselves, shoes specialty stores, had favorite brands, preferred athletic shoes made of achromatic canvas, and bought new shoes when their old ones wore out. Factors of shoe shopping orientation were fashion and brand, economy, conformity, and comfort, and students were grouped into an active shopping group, an underdeveloped shopping orientation group, and a value pursuit group. The active shopping group bought more shoes, spent more on shoes, selected their shoes themselves, patronized discount shoe stores or specialty stores, and preferred national brand shoes. The underdeveloped shopping orientation group accepted their friends' opinions when selecting shoes and bought cheaper shoes. The value pursuit group accepted their parents' opinions when selecting shoes, patronized internet shopping malls or traditional markets, and selected cheaper shoes. The shoe shopping orientation of middle-school boys was immature, but they showed strong consumption needs.

This study is focused on fellowing two issues for simulating colored paper mosaic. The first one is paper tile generation, and the other one is arrangement. At first we define the paper data as two layered polygon. Then, generate paper tile from paper data, and attach it on the best location of canvas according to energy value. The proposed method in this study has some benefits like follow. First, we can obtain more natural shaped paper tile because the phase is similar to real process of fearing paper. Second, if we redefine the structure of paper like newspaper, magazine and so on, the result can be generated with the variable type of paper. And lastly, by adjusting parameters of energy function, we can control the position of the torn paper.

In the late 16th century, the Theatrum Anatomicum or anatomical theatre opened in Leiden in the Netherlands. The theatre was open to a fee-paying audience of students, surgeons, and the public and soon settled down as one of the highbrow cultural activities in the city. This trend soon spread into Amsterdam, and Nicholaes Tulp appearing in Rembrandt van Rijn's was at the center of it. Human anatomy was not just an eyesore but started to get accepted as a cultural event for the civilized citizens of the time. It was with this backdrop that Rembrandt got inspired by this interesting scene of Tulp dissecting human body. Rembrandt well understood the changes of the time and captured them on canvas to attempt convergence between science and art.

^x The enviroment defines the living conditions for people and has at the same time the possibility to create new environment. In Korea, where the rate of urbanization reached more than 50% in 1970′s the priority has been put on the economic development and administrative function. Under the circumstance, visual environmental field was dealt lightly and it resulted in undesirable environment. The techniques of Mordern Arts (Montage, Depeysment, Tromp L′oeil, P.O.P Art, etc.) helped Super Graphics appear in the urban areas. Environmental Art has been expended into the public space and people came to recognize the Arts as the "Street Art" or "Street as Gallery". Super Graphics has four types 1) Resident′s Super Graphics ; Minority groups came to maintain social equality and rights, in cooperation with each other. Such maintenance required general urbanites to form communities which gave birth to the community art, Mural Painting. 2) Environmental Super Graphics ; Beauty has come to be stressed in order to improve the quality of urban lives in the course of inescapable urban development. Instead of renewal of all established construction conservation oriented renewal was encouraged. 3) Super Graphics as Population Arts ; In the 1960′s artists repulsed the establishments in an efforts to open new phase independent from the expressional in the arts. They recognized the relationship between painting, society and the public in different angle and tried to describe all living space on canvas. 4) Super Graphics as Advertisement ; Super Graphics functions as efficient media to deliver images to the urbanites. Super Graphics as media plays the role for political propaganda and commercial advertisements according to their purposes. In Korea, especially, it is required to introduce the environmental Super Graphics. But it is desirable to introduce Super Graphics with Korean culture and sense of beauty. Designers themselves are also required to have responsibility to improve the quality of urban culture.

The purpose of the thesis is to explore ways of improving the quality of urban life by analyzing the Luzinterruptus's work looking for a new perspective on the relationship between environmental color and society. The street artist Luzinterruptus was born in Spain, is a leader in the field of New Genre Public Art brush on a canvas of light in the night. They should seek the views of other common color system and color environments. The method of research is urban design, we consider the concept of the public good understanding, and New Genre Public Art. It also analyzes the environmental color of Luzinterruptus to take advantage of the phenomenology by David Katz color classification. The scope of the thesis is focused on the analysis of the works featured in their website and webzine. Then select a sculpture installation information is stated on the environmental color of their work. The role of environmental color in their work is not an aesthetic experience of harmonious urban landscape was seeking Public Art. The citizens of the area and the installation work themselves. Also it listed as demolition after the exhibition to realize the difference with other people and take advantage to environmental color. Therefore, they the contemporary agenda in many part of narrative takes in the garbage or disposables that you can easily look at our surroundings, In addition, citizens are directly experiencing the fantastic custom-made lights and colors and objects of the oversize as a potential recalls memories. Thus, the use of environmental color comfortable life there is horizontal participation and communication of the 'citizens' critical perspective of the 21st century cumulative cities.

The purpose of this study is to link the Yi tribe's traditional patterns to bag design. Yi tribe is a minor ethic group in China, whose traditional pattern has a high artistic value in that its shapes are diverse and each one has peculiar elegance. Traditional patterns are also indicative of spiritual dept or symbolic stories, rather than being indicative of simple formative beauty. Thus, reorganizing these patterns and applying them artistically to design- in terms of resource utilization- would be significant. Out of all of the Yi tribe's traditional patterns, the cherry blossom_(马樱花), water wave_(水波), sky father and earth mother_(天父地母), pomegranate blossom, triangle, sheep' horn, wisteria vine_(藤条), square and diaper_(四角菱形) and the zigzag_(曲折) patterns were chosen for use during the development of a bag design. This study is based upon document study, including research papers and internet web sites, the point of which was to investigate the form of the traditional patterns, and the creative design process. The design procedure includes these sub-processes: selection, arrangement and color-scheme. In the selection process, the form of the pattern was edited using Adobe Photoshop. The pattern was freely arranged to reflect various emotions. In terms of the color-scheme of the patterns, the colors used by Henri Matisse(1869-1954) in his work were selected and adapted when dyeing the patterns. Subsequently, the final design resulting from these design development processes was applied to the actual production of the bag by using canvas fabric and leather, after which the bag image was proposed using computer simulation. In conclusion, six bag designs were created using traditional patterns from the Yi tribe. Through the processes explained above, this study confirmed that traditional patterns could be widely applied as design motifs and that more sophisticated, modern, and creative designs could be developed based on traditional patterns.

The objective of this study is to investigate the meaning of children perceived by pre-service childcare teachers through metaphor analysis. To this end, data were collected from a group of 288 pre-service childcare teachers majoring in childcare at a university in Gyeonggi-do from the 4th week of May until the 2nd week of June 2021. As a result of the study, the meaning of children was categorized into 'being in need of care,' 'being affected by the environment,' 'being with personality,' 'precious and invaluable being,' 'being giving joy,' 'being who will lead the future,' 'pure and innocent being,' and 'being who develops teachers and parents.' Pre-service teachers showed the highest tendency to perceive children as 'beings in need of care' among the eight categories. The metaphorical expressions, 'sprout,' 'seed,' 'flower,' 'canvas,' 'sponge,' and 'mirror,' in descending order of frequency, were most commonly used among 138 metaphorical expressions. The findings of this study are expected to broaden the understanding of the pre-service teachers' perception of children and provide preliminary data for qualitative support and improvement plans for training pre-service childcare teachers in the future.
