Real-time Auto Tracking System using PTZ Camera with DSP

  • In this paper we proposed a PTZ camera system which automatically detect and track moving objects in the image. Once a moving object is detected the PTZ camera traces it in real-time. We proposed the control system which does not depend on camera focusing functionality but uses the object's center, moving direction, distance and speed. We implemented the system with the TI DM6446 DSP chip. The experimental result shows that the system has excellent performance for high speed vehicles.

  • In the past, a mobile phone had only a function of communication. Recently, new functions such as an mp3 player and a camera are added in a mobile phone. For the application of a camera module to a mobile phone, the size of the camera module needs to become smaller than a general Digital Camera. Furthermore, it is also required that the performance of the camera module in a mobile phone be the same as that of a Digital Camera. In order to fulfill these requirements, the camera module should have functions such as Auto Focus, Zoom, the shutter and the aperture. Therefore, we introduce a simple and effective actuator and propose the shutter composed of solenoid.

  • Smart phone camera module are mounted on the focus are 2 types depending on the behavior. AF (Auto focus) camera module and the FF (Fixed focus) camera module two are different types. AF camera module to move the location of the lens and is a way to automatically focus, FF camera module lens position of the focus is the way to a fixed state.   • In this paper for developing and implementing the car driver's front lane attention enhancement developed system using the car camera. The developed system automatically alarm the car driver when front cars make the dangerous situation. We use Raspberry Pi camera module V2 as car camera module, Raspberry Pi 3 board as hardware main board of implementing embedded system and develop the application library module which can be operated on the Raspberry situation. The application library module widely consist of two part, front car recognition part and dangerous situation distinguish part. Our developed system satisfy the performance test of the target system at the software test certification laboratory of TTA(Telecommunication Technology Association). We test four items as attentive car recognition ability at day and night, system performance, response time. We get the performance of developed system based on the four goal. The car driver's front lane attention enhancement system in this paper will be widely used at the ADAS(Advanced Driving Assistance System) because of the better performance and function.

  • Image blurring in airborne camera can be prevented through timely actuation of LOS(Line of Sight) into the opposite direction to the aircraft advancement, i.e. FMC(Forward motion compensation). Performance verification of FMC requires installation of camera to the aircraft. However, in many ways the verification process has little choice but to be implemented in the laboratory. In this paper verification method of FMC performance in the laboratory is introduced. With collimator target installed in the known reference position image obtained by actual mission plan naturally displays image blurring as well as LOS displacement by FMC effect. Through comparison of the amount of those image blurring and LOS displacement to the equivalent image distortion expected by the application of the FMC reference command can the performance be verified. In this paper we propose a new verification method of FMC performance in laboratory along with generalized solution of FMC reference command, and assess the validity of our proposition.

  • According to the rapid development of cell phone and camera industry, all of electronic products obtain small-size, high-performance and variety. Therefore, PCB also obtains high-integration, multi-layers and high-specification rapidly. Among the digital cameras which are continuously evolved and developed, the market of mirror-less camera and hybrid digital camera is continuously increased because of the customer's request for small-size and weight lightening, except for DSLR camera. Therefore, the difficulty of PCB design is gradually increased and design L/T is longer according to the high-specifications, low-current and high-performance components. This thesis suggests the method to reduce L/T for PCB design applied to the reduction of digital camera's developing period and manufacturing period.

  • The Flight Model of MAC (Medium-sized Aperture Camera), a 2.5m GSD class earth observation camera has been aligned and assembled. Topics discussed in this paper include the ground MTF performance of the MAC system, and the alignment of the focal plane assembly. MTF was measured by a knife-edge scanning technique, and a 450 mm diameter Cassegrain collimator with diffraction-limited performance was made and used for the MTF measurements. System MTF was used as the figure-of-merit to find the best focus of the focal plane assembly.

  • The latest CCTV camera are network camera in many cases. In this case when transmitting high-quality image by internet, it could be a large load on the internet because the amount of image data is very large. In this study, we propose a method which can reduce the video traffic in this case, and evaluate its performance. We used a method for transmitting and extracting a gesture information using ToF camera such as Kinect in certain circumstances. There may be restrictions on the application of the proposed method because it depends on the performance of the ToF camera. However, it can be applied efficiently to the security or safety management of a small interior space such as a home or office.

  • In this paper for developing and implementing the HD level triple streaming hybrid security camera which output the three type of video outputs(HD-SDI, EX-SDI, Analog). We design the hardware and program the firmware supporting the main and sub functions. We use MN34229PL as image sensor, EN778, EN331 as image processor, KA909A as reset, iris, day&night function part, A3901SEJTR-T as zoom/focus control part. We request the performance test of developed security camera at the broadcasting and communication fusion testing department of TTA (Telecommunication Technology Association). We can get the three outputs (HD-SDI, EX-SDI, Analog) from the developed security camera, get the world best level at the jitter and eye pattern amplitude value and exceed the world best level at the signal/noise ratio, and minium illumination, power consumption part. The HD level triple streaming hybrid security camera in this paper will be widely used at the security camera because of the better performance and function.
