Smart phone에 실장되는 카메라 모듈은 Focus 동작에 따라 2가지 타입이 있다. AF(Auto focus) camera module과 FF(Fixed focus) camera module 2가지 타입이다. AF Camera module은 Lens의 위치를 이동하여 자동으로 초점을 맞추는 방식이며, FF camera module은 Lens의 위치가 고정된 상태로 초점을 맞추는 방식이다. EDOF camera module은 Lens의 위치가 고정된 상태에서 AF 모듈처럼 EDOF 알고리즘을 사용하여 초점을 맞추는 기술을 적용한 모듈이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 EDOF camera module의 해상도 최적화를 구현한다.
