The nano-sized zirconia powders were synthesized in an impregnation method using pulp and $ZrOCl_2{\cdot}8H_2O$ as an initial material. The synthesized powders were characterized by XRD and FE-SEM. The particle size of the powder was controlled by preparation conditions, such as drying temperature and time. As a result of the various drying and calcination conditions, 30~50 nm sized homogeneous zirconia particles were obtained at $800^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. Crystallization and the rapid growth of particles were accelerated with increasing calcination temperature and time. Tetragonal phase generated below $800^{\circ}C$ were transferred to monoclinic phase with increasing calcination temperature and time. Moreover, above $800^{\circ}C$, heat treatment time had very large influence on the particle growth, and the change of drying condition also had large influence on the growth of a crystal.
Characteristics of Al2O3-ZrO2 powders prepared by sol-gel process and their sintering behavior were investigated as a function of calcination temperature. The sol-gel processed powders were calcined at 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200$^{\circ}C$, and analyzed by X-ray diffraction technique. Pore size and distribution of green compact of the calcined powders were measured by mercury porosimeter. It is suggested that the optimal temperature of calcination for the sintering of Al2O3-ZrO2 powder prepared by sol-gel process is 1100$^{\circ}C$. In the Al2O3-17vol.% ZrO2 sintered specimen, which was sintered at 1600$^{\circ}C$ for 2hrs in air, 69vol.% tetragonal phse existed.
The characteristic of calcined BaTiO3 powder and sintered PTC ceramics was investigated varing with calcination temperature and time of BaTiO(C2O4)2.4H2O synthesized from BaCl2.2H2O, TiCl4, oxalic acid and ethanol by oxalic acid method. When the particle size was less than 0.1 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ by controlling calcination temperature and time, the resistance at room temperature was measured very high (above M{{{{ OMEGA }}). However, when the calcined particle sizes ranged from 0.2 to 0.3 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, the resistance was 100 {{{{ OMEGA }} (After sintering, the grain size was 10~30 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ homogeneously with the addition of dopant in sintering, the resistivity, resistance, $\alpha$ value and jumped to were 110{{{{ OMEGA }}.cm, 24$^{\circ}C$/% and 106{{{{ OMEGA }}, respectively.
The surface of alumina is capable of acquiring a change when it is in an aqueous solution. This surface change will have a strong influence on the surrounding ions, particularly those of opposite change known as the counter ions. A site-binding model of the {{{{ gamma }}-alumina/KCl(aq) interface was used to calculated theoretical surface ionization constants and P.Z.C.(Point of zero change) of {{{{ gamma }}-alumina. This paper was carried out to investigate the effect of calcination temperature on the acidic and electrical properties of pure {{{{ gamma }}-alumina prepared by the precipitation method from the Al(NO3)3.9H2O and NH4OH. From the experimental data it was shown that {{{{ gamma }}-alumina have a mainly Br nsted acid site. However, the acidity of {{{{ gamma }}-alumina decreased with increasing calcination temperature at strength Ho +9.3. The surface charge density of {{{{ gamma }}-alumina was increased with electrolyte ionic strength and calcination temperature.
The Co oxide microfibers were synthesized using the electrospinning process and formed $Co_3O_4$ microfibers after being calcined at high temperatures. The calcination temperature influenced the diameters, morphology, crystalline phase, and chemical environment of the fibers. The surface morphology of the obtained fibers was examined by using the scanning electron microscope (SEM). As the calcination temperatures increased from room temperature to 873 and 1173 K, the diameters of the cobalt oxide fibers decreased from 1.79 to 0.82 and 0.32 mm, respectively. The structure of the fibers was investigated with X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The calcined $Co_3O_4$ fibers had crystalline face-centered cubic (fcc) structure. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) results revealed that increasing the calcination temperature promoted the formation of $Co^{2+}$ and $Co^{3+}$ species.

The spinel was calcined at temperatures in the range of $1000^{\circ}C$ to $1300^{\circ}C$ with $100^{\circ}C$ interval to evaluate the effect of calcination temperature on mechanical properties of spinel-glass dental composites. Although the average particle size of spinel calcined at temperatures from $1000^{\circ}C$ to $1200^{\circ}C$ was within 2.8~3.0 $\mu\textrm{m}$, the spinel calcined at $1300^{\circ}C$ was 4.66 $\mu\textrm{m}$ due to abnormal grain growth. Shrinkage and pore size of the spinel preform decreased and increased, respectively, as calcination temperature increased, indicating that the calcination temperature was significant to the powder compaction and the densification of the composites as a result of particle size and distribution. The optimum strength and the fracture toughness of the composite calcined at $1200^{\circ}C$ were 284$\pm$40 MPa, 2.5$\pm$0.1 MPaㆍ$m^{1/2}$ respectively. Optical experimental results showed that transmittance of the spinel-glass composite in the visible region was twice higher than that of the alumina-glass composite, suggesting that the spinel-glass composites possessed better aesthetic properties for all-ceramic dental crown application.

[ $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$ ] films have been prepared on $LaAlO_3$ (100) single-crystal substrates by a metalorganic deposition using dichloroacetate precursors (DCA-MOD). Calcination conditions were varied in order to optimize the microstructure and the superconducting properties of YBCO film. Coated films were calcined at various temperatures ranging from $400{\sim}700^{\circ}C$ in flowing humid oxygen atmosphere. Ramping rate to calcination tempertures was $2.22^{\circ}C/min$. Conversion heat treatment was performed at $800^{\circ}C$ for 2 h in flowing Ar gas containing 1000 ppm oxygen with a humidity of 9.45%. Observations of surface and cross sectional SEM microstructure showed that the particle size in the calcined film increased in the range of 100-200 nm with heating rate and the calcination temperature. SEM EDS analysis showed that 13 a/o of chlorine was contained in the calcined film. It was also observed that the porosity increased with the heating rate and temperature. Porous microstructure was developed when YBCO films were prepared using porous calcined film. Dense microstructure and high $J_c$ over $1\;MA/cm^2$ was obtained when calcination was carried out at the temperature of $500^{\circ}C$ with a heating rate of $2.22^{\circ}C/min$.
The objectives of this study were to investigate the characteristics of limestone calcination and sulfation in a fluidized bed reactor with bed temperature and air velocity. The experimental results were presented as follows ; First, the bed temperature had a great influence on the calcination and the sulphur retention of limestone and paper sludge. In paper sludge, the optimum conditions in calcination and desulfurization temperature was at $800^{\circ}C$ and in natural limestone, that was at $850^{\circ}C$ or $900^{\circ}C$. Second, as air velocity increased, the specific surface area of particles decreased. But the difference of surface area according to air velocity was not too large. The specific surface area of paper sludge was larger than that of natural limestone. Third, as air velocity increased, the absorbed amount of sulfur dioxide decreased. And the absorbed amount of sulfur dioxide by paper sludge was larger than that of by natural limestone. Therefore, we knew that paper sludge was excellent absorbent and bed temperature had a great important variable on the calcination and sulphur retention in a fluidized bed.
In this study, an experiment was performed by adding Sb during NH3-selective catalytic reduction (NH3-SCR) while varying calcination temperatures from 400 to 700 ℃ to improve the low temperature denitrification efficiency of VWTi catalyst. As a result, VWSbTi(500) and VWSbTi(600) catalysts corresponding to Sb calcination temperatures of 500~600 ℃ showed the best denitrification performance at low temperatures below 300 ℃. BET, XRD, Raman, XPS, H2-TPR, and NH3-TPD analyses were performed In order to confirm physicochemical properties according to the calcination temperature. In the case of VWSbTi(500) and VWSbTi(600), an acid site increased with the generation of W=O species, and superb activity at low temperatures was exhibited due to the excellent redox characteristics and increase in electron density of tungsten. Furthermore, in the case of VWSbTi(700), as the crystalline V2O5 structure was formed, the denitrification efficiency decreased. Thus the optimum calcination temperature during Sb addition process was confirmed.
ZrO2 gel was prepared under pH 10 alkaline condition by sol-gel process and was investigated as a function of calcination temperature and effect of calcination temperature on cobalt adsorption capacity. The ZrO2 powder prepared by sol-gel process was calcined at 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 140$0^{\circ}C$ and analyzed by X-ray diffractometry. SEM specific surface area by BET nitrogen adsorption FT-IR and TG-DTA technique. It was shown that cobalt adsorption capacity of ZrO2 prepared under pH 10 alkaline condition and then calcined at $600^{\circ}C$ in high temperature was determined to be larger than that of ZrO2 at various calcination temperature. The specific surface area of ZrO2 calcined at $600^{\circ}C$ was 24.03m2/g and cobalt adsorption capacity at 25$0^{\circ}C$ high-temperature water was 0.16m-eq/g.
