크루즈선 객실의 공조 쾌적성 평가에 관한 연구 (The Study for Evaluation of Thermal Comfort in Passenger Cabin on Cruise Ship)

  • The present work focuses on the evaluation of thermal comfort in passenger cabin of a cruise ship. A computational fluid dynamics (CFD(Airpak)) is used to calculate air velocity and temperature distribution in the passenger cabin as well as PMV and PPD. The CFD is used to simulate two different cases, room unit system and wardrobe duct system. Both of cases are simulated in summer environment condition. The room unit system and wardrobe duct system are compared and evaluated by ISO 7730 thermal comfort categories. The performance of room unit system is shown to be more effective for this typical case of passenger cabin.

  • In this paper, we introduce noise prediction program of HVAC system to assist low-noisy design of ship's cabin. The developed program calculates sound power levels at HVAC components considering primary and secondary noise generated by fan and duct element, duct element noise attenuation, and duct break-in noise based on the authentic empirical method suggested by NEBB and acoustic power balancing method. Sound pressure level at cabin with or without ceiling system is evaluated by the diffuse-field theory considering diffuser and duct break-out sound powers. Moreover, the program provides intuitive pre- and post-processors using modem GUI functions to help efficient modeling and evaluation of cabin and HVAC component noise. To validate the accuracy and convenience of the program, noise prediction for a HVAC system is demonstrated.

서비스품질 향상을 통한 기내서비스 명품화에 관한 연구 - K항공사 승객과 승무원을 중심으로 - (A Research on Premium In-Flight Service by Enhancing Service Quality focusing on K-Airline's Passengers and Cabin Crews)

  • This paper tried to research the relationship among the passenger's satisfaction and expectation of in-flight service quality, overall satisfaction and passenger's Loyalty by emphasizing on two groups of passengers and cabin crews from K-airline to find out which service quality area should be focused on for pursuing premium in-flight service. Such six service quality areas as in-flight equipment, food&beverage, duty-free sales, service ability, service image and specialized service were conceived and survey questions were made based on relevant previous researches. The analysis has used the data of 281 passengers and 336 cabin crews from K-airline. According to the analysis, in physical service factors, passengers perceive satisfaction from duty-free sales contributes to overall service satisfaction. However, cabin crews believed in-flight equipment and food&beverage are important to overall service satisfaction. In human service factors, both groups seemed to agree service ability and service image have a positive impact on overall service satisfaction. Among service satisfaction factors, the customer's satisfaction from cabin crew's service ability(service response, professional knowledge and foreign language skill) is also proven to be directly connected to customer loyalty.

  • 본 연구는 항공기 상위클래스를 이용하는 고객의 기내서비스에 대한 서비스품질과 고객가치 및 관계유지의도와의 영향 관계를 규명하고자 함에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 기내서비스품질을 물적 서비스품질과 인적 서비스품질요인으로 선정하였고 고객가치를 매개변수로 종속변수인 관계유지의도간의 인과관계를 나타내는 연구모형과 연구가설을 설정하였다. 분석결과, 항공기 상위클래스 물적 서비스품질요인과 인적 서비스품질요인 모두 고객가치와 관계유지의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 상위클래스 서비스품질에 대한 고객의 가치는 관계유지의도에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 해당 항공사와 지속적인 관계를 유지할 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 의해 항공기 상위클래스를 이용하는 상용고객의 로열티 확보와 선호도 등을 파악하여 고객이 특별함을 느끼게 하는 서비스전략이 필요하며 항공사는 조직의 내부점검과 고객감동의 가치실현을 위해 승무원 서비스교육에 투자와 정성이 요구된다.

Impact of Sound Insulation in a Combine Cabin

  • Purpose: Recently, environmental pollution and safety problems in agricultural production have become important issues. Initially, bio-production machines focused on high production efficiency rather than workers' safety and comfort, but this trend slowly has changed as time went on. Methods: This study was carried out to identify sound efficiently and reliably for noise reduction by using a combine cabin model. Ethylene propylene diene monomer (M-class) rubber (EPDM) was applied to improve noise reduction performance from parts connected directly to the front, rear, left side, and bottom side of the cabin. Results: As a result, an average noise reduction of 1.85 dB was achieved in the normal hearing range between 500 Hz to 2 kHz. Conclusions: Reducing the cabin noise levels can reduce a worker's fatigue, improve working environment, and contribute to future low-noise and high-quality cabin environment.

상용차 캐빈 내의 열전모듈에 의한 열유동 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis on the Thermal Flow by a Thermoelectric Module within the Cabin of a Commercial Vehicle)

  • The steady three-dimensional numerical analysis on the thermal flow using standard k-${\varepsilon}$ turbulence model was carried out to investigate the air cooling effect of a cooler on the cabin for a commercial vehicle. Here, the heat exchanging method of this cabin cooler uses the cooling effect of a thermoelectric module. In consequence, the air system resistance of a cooler within the cabin is about 12.1 Pa as a static pressure, and then the operating point of a virtual cross-flow fan considering in this study is formed in the comparatively low flowrate region. The discharging air temperature of a cooler is about $14{\sim}15^{\circ}C$. Moreover, the air cooling temperature difference obtained under the outdoor cabin temperature of $40^{\circ}C$ shows about $7{\sim}9^{\circ}C$ in a driver resting space and about $9{\sim}14^{\circ}C$ in the front of a driver's seat including the space of a driver's foot.

  • 지하철 객실은 고농도의 이산화탄소로 오염되기 쉬운데, 이로 인하여 지하철 승객의 졸림, 두통, 무력감 등을 야기하기 쉽다. 이 때문에 환경부에서는 2007년에서는 열차와 지하철 객실의 이산화탄소 농도에 대한 가이드라인을 정한 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 지하철 객차용 이산화탄소 저감 시스템을 개발하고 실험용 객차를 이용하여 성능시험을 수행하였다. 다양한 종류의 개질 제올라이트를 이산화탄소 흡착제로 사용하여 지하철 객실 내부의 이산화탄소 농도를 저감할 수 있었다.

The Effect of Efficiency Evaluation on the Organizational Effectiveness of the Cabin Crew's Competency -Focusing on the Job Satisfaction of the Personal Capacity of Airline Cabin Crews-

  • Purpose - In order for companies to be competitive and adapt to the trend of development, it is important for many airlines to secure outstanding human resources and the need to nurture them. It can be expected that by systematically analyzing and organizing the characteristics and types of competences considering the duties of the airline cabin crew, the personal and organizational capacities of the cabin crew can be defined and presented theoretically. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - This survey was conducted over a seven-month period from February 1 to September 30, 2018 and was designated as a domestic airline flight attendant. Direct visits to Incheon International Airport and Gimpo International Airport were also conducted through an online questionnaire. A total of 515 questionnaires were used for empirical analysis. To verify two hypothesis of this study, a regression analysis and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) were performed using SPSS WIN 26.0. Results - Analysis on the impact of personal capacity of airline cabin crew on job satisfaction showed that technical competence, knowledge capacity and ability capacity, which are sub-factor factors of personal capacity, had a positive effect on job satisfaction. Recovery resilience also plays a positive role in relationships between individual competence and job satisfaction. Conclusions - It has been empirically analyzed that the personal characteristics of the airline crew have a significant effect on flight attendant's job satisfaction. It can be seen that flight attendants tend to perform well beyond what is required in their duties, and that active and confident cabin crew members tend to perform well in the direction of improving their duties, and are also highly satisfied with their duties.

90kW급 트랙터 캐빈의 승차 진동 저감을 위한 현가장치 설계 최적화 (Optimization of the Suspension Design to Reduce the Ride Vibration of 90kW-Class Tractor Cabin)

  • This study was conducted to optimize the spring constant and the damping coefficient, which are design parameters of the tractor cabin suspension system, to minimize the ride vibration. A 3D tractor MBD (multi-body dynamics) model with a cabin suspension system was developed using a dynamic analysis program (Recurdyn). Using the developed model and optimization algorithm, the spring constant and the damping coefficient, which are the design parameters of the cabin suspension for the tractor, was were optimized so thatto minimize the maximum overshoot for the vertical displacement of the cabin was minimized. The percent maximum overshoot of the tractor cabin was simulated for the 13 initial models, which were obtained using the ISCD-II method, and for the 3 additional SAO models presented in the optimization algorithm software. The model that represents with the smallest percent maximum overshoot among the 16 models was selected as the optimized model. The percent maximum overshoot of the optimized model was about approximately 5% lower than that of the existing model.

항공기 승무원의 기본응급처치 의식 조사 (Awareness level of basic emergency treatment by airline cabin crew)

  • 항공기 승무원은 최초 반응자로 비행기내 환자 발생 시 적절하고 신속하게 응급처치를 시행하여야 한다. 승무원의 기본응급처치 의식조사 결과, 출혈 관리, 소아 고열, 경련, 심근경색, 기도유지, 부분기도폐쇄 등에 대한 대처방법은 80.5%~97.8%로 올바르게 의식하고 있었지만 의식 없는 기도폐쇄, 호흡확인 방법, 영아자동제세동기 사용 등에 대한 대처방법은 3.2%~20.0%로 비교적 낮게 나타났다. 따라서, 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 기내에서 발생되는 환자 중 발생빈도가 높은 유형, 해결하기 어려운 유형, 생명을 위협할 수 있는 유형 등에 대한 응급처치 매뉴얼이 마련되어야 된다.
