This research investigated the effect of the CMT and MCMT on Alzheimer's disease. The effects of the CMT and MCMT extract on expression of proinflammatory cytokine($IL-1{\beta}$, IL-6, $TNF-{\alpha}$) in the THP-1 cell; amyloid precursor proteins(APP), acetylcholinesterase(AChE) mRNA of PC-12 cells treated with CT105; the AChE activity and the APP production of PC-12 cell lysate treated with CT105 were investigated. The CMT and MCMT extract suppressed overexpression of $IL-1{\beta}$, IL-6, $TNF-{\alpha}$ in the THP-1 cell treated by LPS; the expression of APP, AChE mRNA in PC-12 cells treated with CT105; the AChE activity and the production of APP in PC-12 cell lysate treated with CT105 significantly. This study suggest that CMT and MCMT may be effective for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
A total of 127 foremilk samples from dairy farms in Chonnam district was examined for the subclinical mastitis eve. six months, using a method of the N-acetyl-${\beta}$ -D-glucosaminidase (NAGase) test in relation to the California mastitis test(CMT) and the somatic tell count(SCC) and the compatibility and efficiency rating between the NAGase test and the other screening test were conducted. Fifteen subclinically mastitic cows were treated with a single oral dose of 7.5mg/kg of levamisole hydrochloride. The results are summarized as follows. 1. A linear relationship was found among the NAGase level, the CMT score and the SCC level, and it was found that NAGase activity measurements were comparable with other screening tests for diagnosing cows with mastitis. 2. Compatibilites between the NAGase and the CMT were 96.1%, and that of the NAGase and SCC were 93.7%. On the other hand, relative efficiency ratings of Postle's equation between the NAGase and CMT were 89.4%, and that of the NAGase and SCC were 84.1%. 3. Considering the result of CMT, SCC and NAGase level after treatment with levamisole hydrochloride it seemed to be of special value in the treatment of bovine subclinical mastitis.
This study was carried out to isolate of causative agents from CMT-positive and mean somatic cell count(SCC) $\geq$500,000 cells/ml mastitic milk, and evaluate to antimicrobial susceptibility of isolates in Iksan branch area from January to November, 1996. 1. The CMT-positivity(SCC 500,000 cells/ml) of 610 heads was 36.2% (221), and of 2,373 quarter milks was 16.1% (383). 2. The Gram-positive isolates were 153 strains which was Staphylococcus sp (115), Micrococcus sp (18), Streptococcus sp (10), Listeria monocytogenes (5) and Enterococcus faecalis(5). 3. The Gram-negative isolates were 66 strains including E coli(14), Yersinia sp (13), Shigella sp(8), Enterobacillus sp(8), Cedecea sp(5), Pseudomonas aeruginosa(5), Proteus sp(5), Klebsiella sp(4), Salmonella sp(2), kluyvera ascorbate(1) and Tatumella ptyseos (1). 4. The Gram positive strains of isolates were moderately susceptible to T/s, Cp, Fd, Imp, Aug, Rif, Cft and Va. And the Gram negative strains of Isolates were moderately susceptible to T/s, Cp, Imp, Pi and Ti, In order. 5. Multiple antimicrobial resistant patterns were encountered 62 and 36 from Gram positive and negative isolates, respectively.
Objectives The purpose of this study is to provide an evidence base for the effectiveness of Chuna manual therapy (CMT) alone for cervicogenic dizziness. Methods We conducted a search up to October 2018 in 7 electronic databases. The randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that performed CMT for cervicogenic dizziness were included. The risk of bias was assessed using the Cochrane risk of bias tool. Results Ten RCTs met the inclusion criteria. The meta-analysis of 4 RCTs showed favorable results for the use of CMT alone compared to medication. Conclusions In 10 RCTs, we found that CMT was effective in cervicogenic dizziness. However, most of the included RCTs were unclear risk of bias. Therefore, well designed RCTs would be needed to obtain the stronger evidence level of CMT for cervicogenic dizziness.
The study for a effect of monitoring on bovine mastitis was conduced for a year from Dec, 1989 to Nov, 1990, Sampling the bulk milk of 350 herds in Inchon city and out of 10 herds among them were carried out herds guidance, CMT, SCC, isolation of pathogens and antibiotic sensitivity tests. The results obtained were summarized as follows 1. Annual mean SCC of 1213 herds was 558, 000 cell /ml 2. The number of SCC below 500, 000 cell /ml to quarters for herds guidance was at 1st 77. 0%, End 84.8% and 3rd 80.4%. The is shown that milk quality was steadly improved. 3. The most number of isolated pathogens of bovine mastitis was Staphylococcus SPP - 402(47.2%) Streptococcus SPP - 80(18.7% ) 4. The highest rate of antibiotic sensitivity test was Stapylococcus SPP - cephalothin(76.7%) Streptococcus SPP - ampicillin(77.5%) Gram negative bacilli - tetracyclin(76.0%) 5. The effect of monitoring on bovine mastitis was improved showing that at 1st 49.0% to 3rd 72.0%

Objectives : To evaluate the evidence supporting the effectiveness and safety of Chuna manual therapy(CMT) for lumbar spinal stenosis Methods : We searched 10 electronic databases(Pubmed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, CAJ, RISS, KISS, KISTI, KMBASE, DBpia, NDSL) and related 2 journals up to October 2018. We included randomized controlled trials(RCTs) of testing CMT for lumbar spinal stenosis patients. The methodological quality of RCTs related assessed by the Cochrane risk of bias tool 1.0. Results : Three RCTs were eligible in our inclusion criteria. The meta-analysis of 3 studies showed positive results for the using CMT for lumbar spinal stenosis. Conclusions : The review found favorable evidence of CMT for treating lumbar spinal stenosis with meta-analysis. However, our systematic review has limited evidence to support CMT for lumbar spinal stenosis because of low quality of original articles and further well-designed RCTs should be encouraged.

Inherited peripheral neuropathies (IPN), which are a group of clinically and genetically heterogeneous peripheral nerve disorders including Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), exhibit progressive degeneration of muscles in the extremities and loss of sensory function. Over 70 genes have been reported as genetic causatives and the number is still growing. We prepared a targeted gene panel for IPN diagnosis based on next generation sequencing (NGS). The gene panel was designed to detect mutations in 73 genes reported to be genetic causes of IPN or related peripheral neuropathies, and to detect duplication of the chromosome 17p12 region, the major genetic cause of CMT1A. We applied the gene panel to 115 samples from 63 non-CMT1A families, and isolated 15 pathogenic or likelypathogenic mutations in eight genes from 25 patients (17 families). Of them, eight mutations were unreported variants. Of particular interest, this study revealed several very rare mutations in the SPTLC2, DCTN1, and MARS genes. In addition, the effectiveness of the detection of CMT1A was confirmed by comparing five 17p12-nonduplicated controls and 15 CMT1A cases. In conclusion, we developed a gene panel for one step genetic diagnosis of IPN. It seems that its time- and cost-effectiveness are superior to previous tiered-genetic diagnosis algorithms, and it could be applied as a genetic diagnostic system for inherited peripheral neuropathies.
Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the pathway of anti-allergic effects of Cheonmaec-tang (CMT). Methods We examined the cell viability, $\beta$-hexosaminidase release, pro-inflammatory cytokines secretion and mRNA expressions, nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-${\kappa}B$) (p65) activation, inbibitor kappa B-alpha ($I{\kappa}B-{\alpha}$) degradation, and MAPKs activation in RBL-2H3 cells pre-treated by CMT of 2.0 mg/ml, 4.0 mg/ml separately. Results We observed that CMT reduced the secretion of $\beta$-hexosaminidase, TNF-$\alpha$, IL-4 and the expression of COX-2 mRNA in RBL-2H3 cells. Furthermore, CMT inhibited the levels of activation of NF-${\kappa}B$ (p65) protein, ERK MAPK, and degradation of $I{\kappa}B-{\alpha}$ in RBL-2H3 cells. Conclusions These results show that CMT has an anti-histamine effect and inhibitory effect of NF-${\kappa}B$ (p65) through regulation of $I{\kappa}B-{\alpha}$ degradation. These suggest that CMT could be used as an anti-allergic medicine.

This study aimed at assessing the analysis capability of thermal-hydraulic computer code, MARS for the behaviors of the core make-up tank (CMT). The sensitivity study on the nodalization to simulate the CMT was conducted, and the MARS calculations were compared with KAIST experimental data and RELAP5/MOD3.3 calculations. The 12-node model was fixed through a nodalization study to investigate the effect of the number of nodes in the CMT (2-, 4-, 8-, 12-, 16-node). The sensitivity studies on various parameters, such as water subcooling of the CMT, steam pressure, and natural circulation flow were done. MARS calculations were reasonable in the injection time and the effects of several parameters on the CMT behaviors even though the mesh-dependency should be properly treated for reactor applications.
