The purpose of this research is to survey the current status of CD-ROM acquisitions and use at public libraries. For this purpose, the questionnaires prepared to examine the information environments, CD-ROM acquisitions and use as well as the future plans for CD-ROM use were sent to seven public libraries in Daegu. This paper consists of the introduction, the characteristics and trends of CD-ROM publications, the present status of CD-ROM publishing in Korea, and the analyses of acquisitions and use of CD-ROMs at public libraries. It is intended to find out if there is any relationship between CD-ROM publishing and CD-ROM use at public libraries. It concludes that the CD-ROM collections of public libraries are related to the publishing of CD-ROM, but the use of CD-ROMs cannot be claimed to reflect the publishing. Some interpretations and recommendations for the results are suggested.

This paper intends to introduce various bibliographic CD-ROM database products which can be employed in library environments instead of practising online bibliographic searching. However, impacts and future prospectives of CD-ROM searching on online bibliographic searching are explored. Possible applicable areas of CD-ROM technologies in Korean library setting are recommended.

DDC는 1876년 멜빌 듀이에 의해 초판이 발행된 이후 21판의 개정판이 출판될 예정이며, 현재 전세계적으로 널리 사용되고 있는 세계적인 분류표이다. 이러한 DDC는 이제 인쇄본 형태뿐만이 아니라 기계가독형 형태인 CD-ROM으로까지 생산되기에 이르렀다. 본고에서는 DDC 최초의 기계가독형 형태인 Electronic Dewey Decimal Classification(EDDC)에 대해 살펴보고, 이를 실제로 사용해 본 학생들을 대상으로 조사한 설문지 결과를 중심으로 EDDC의 이용 가능성과 그에 필요한 여건에 관해 논하였다.

It expected a lot of changes in mass media and documentation expression as documents on web are getting diverse, complex and massive. An Annals of The Chosun Dynasty is a very important document used for researching historical facts and is published as CD-Rom. However. The CD-Rom was composed as content-based and using simple search method, therefore it's very difficult to make determine event-relationship between documents factors. Because of that, we studied to discover event-relationship between documents through clustering and efficient similarity method among Annals of The Chosun Dynasty. For the research method, we discovered the best similarity method for historical written documents through simulation similarity measures of Annals of The Chosun Dynasty documents. Then we did simulation-clustering documents based on similarity probability. In evaluation of the clustered documents , the results were the same as when manually figured.

본 연구는 최근 발행 종 수 및 부수가 급격히 증가하고 있고, 그 형태 면에서도 인쇄본, CD-ROM, 온라인, 인터넷 백과사전 등으로 다양화되고 있는 백과사전을 평가하기 위한 기준을 설정하고, 이 기준에 근거하여 현재 국내에서 유통되고 있는 백과사전을 실증적으로 평가, 분석하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이 연구를 통해 일반 독자나 도서관에서의 백과사전 선택을 위한 실제적인 지침을 마련함과 동시에, 궁극적으로는 백과사전의 편집과 출판을 위한 새로운 기준을 제시하게 될 것이다.

본 고에서는 도서관의 문헌제공 서비스 차원에서 연구되고 있는 프로젝트와 전자 문헌전달 시스템의 프로토타입을 조사, 분석하였다. 전자 문헌전달 시스템이란 출판사나 도서관에서 기존의 인쇄물 출판 및 배포를 낭가하는 전자적인 방법, 즉 비디오텍스, 전자우편, 온라인 네트워크 및 CD-ROM 등을 통해 이용자에게 필요한 정보를 전달하는 시스템을 뜻한다. 현재 활용가능한 전자 문헌전달 시스템을 중심으로 그 이용 및 접속방법, 제공가능한 문헌의 형태, 서비스 제공에 필요한 기술적 장비와 네트워크에 관련된 요구사항 그리고 주제분야 및 비용 등에 관한 사항들을 중점적으로 조사하였다.

For several decades in history of cartoon, it was about the era of publishing tendency based on printing technique just until few years before now. The media critic Marshall McLuhan said, "The cartoon of the 20th century have characters of printing or woodblock printing yet. Coming in to the 1980s, unlike traditional printing, cartoons of more various form appeared such as 'Moving cartoon, CD-ROM cartoon, Click-cartoon'. These phenomenons diversified and accelerated during the electronic equipments and internet that cartoon were able to be produced and distributed on not printing forms were progressing and popularizing. Like these, base on the progress of various forms in webtoon, this study will suggest 3 concept about expansion of Spatial Expressions of expression and cognition such as 'Reminiscent of The Vertical Image', 'The Vertical Panorama' and 'The Morphing into Spaces'. Also, , , the works of Doha Kang who is in the spotlight as the webtoonist of avant-garde and dynamic works, will be examined and analysed as the texts. Doha Kang was selectied as a 'Contemporary Twenty Webtoonist in Korea' from a survey of the cartoon's experts in korea by Bucheon Cartoon Information Center in 2009. He has recognized as the most experimental and be influential webtoonist from beginning of webtoon era to today. In this context, the analyses of his two works that was published in 2007, 2009 each, will helps understanding from diverse viewpoint about webtoon's expressions and structures. Furthermore, this study helps focus on values of webtoon as expansion art of Spatial Expression.
