The Impact of CD-ROM Searching on Online Searching

Abstract

This paper intends to introduce various bibliographic CD-ROM database products which can be employed in library environments instead of practising online bibliographic searching. However, impacts and future prospectives of CD-ROM searching on online bibliographic searching are explored. Possible applicable areas of CD-ROM technologies in Korean library setting are recommended.

출판(出版) 및 서지정보업계(書誌情報業界)에서 응용되고 있는 CD-ROM 데이터베이스들을 소개(紹介)하고 CD-ROM 정보검색(情報檢索)이 온라인 정보검색(情報檢索)에 미치는 영향과 앞으로의 전망(展望), 나아가서 우리나라 도서관계(圖書館界)에 적용될 수 있는 파급효과를 고찰(考察)하였다.
